Shameless Money Grab
The cost of replacement parts and labour to repair a refrigerator was 90% of purchasing a new similar model. Once I realized this and tried to cancel the following work day just after the service visit, they tried to haggle me into accepting a 20% discount for which I was still not interested. As per the law I'm entitled to cancel the repair within 10 days but I was unable to get refunded for most of the upfront cost. No labour had been yet put into the repair, the serviceman had only made an estimate so the labour was yet to happen in the future but I was forced to pay that upfront. Given that according to their policy, labour can't be refunded I lost all money related to labour costs. Then there was restocking fees for parts. In the end I lost half of the total cost of the estimated repair. Wether it's industry standard or not I don't know but it's definitely immoral to charge for work that hasn't been done. Avoid paying anything upfront, you can't get your money back.
Recommendation: Read reviews and complaints, there's pattern of dishonesty
Unprofessional ripoff
Our oven was not heating up properly. They said there was a $80 service charge to diagnose the problem. The technician said we needed 2 new elements to fix the problem $675.00 and 3 to 4 days to get the parts and install.
After replacing the parts he said the oven was heating up properly and after paying left quickly before the oven preheated. We ran the stove and it was still not heating to 350 or higher. I called customer service and they said they needed to wait for the technicians report and would call me back. They didn't call back so I called them. They said his report said we need a new circuit board an additional $750.
They had no managers available and refused any refund for not repairing or standing behind their original quote for repairs.
Recommendation: DO NOT TRUST OR USE THIS COMPANY
Frauds!
Let me tell you a story about these guys. We called them because one of our fridges was not working properly.
They charge $400 just to come see what happened. So then they sent their “expert”, who apparently only comes every Thursday. So we waited every Thursday for this issue to get solved. 3 weeks to be exact.
They came in and charged us $1000. We thought the issue was fixed. But it wasn’t fixed. So we called them back asking them to come back and look at it as the issue they said they fixed wasn't fixed. The warranty was useless.
Here comes the tech that says we need to spend $900 on a part for the fridge because something was wrong. We agreed because we thought these guys are professional. The guy came in with the part one week later. He installed a part in a five minutes and walked out. He didn’t even check if anything was working. He told us give it 24hours to work. And to our surprise, the fridge still was not working. So we called them back and we asked them to come back again to see what happened.
The technician came in and told us that he is unable to fix this and for us to call the company and ask them for a refund because they will provide it because he doesn’t know what the problem was and he is unable to fix it and he made a mistake.
Now we get to the good part. We called the company. They said call back on Monday to get a refund. Now we called them back on Monday and they said that we don’t get no refund.
The lady who answered the phone was like no refunds it’s a step by step process the tech said has replace compressor now and that is what the tech had advised them. But the tech told us, he is unable to fix and call the company for a refund. The lady didn’t want help so we asked to speak to the manager. The manager got on the phone and the manager said that nothing can be done.
So in the end, depending on this company that we thought could do a good job, we are out $2000. Customer service couldn’t help us. The manager couldn’t help us, and the technician who was scared to tell his company that he was unable to fix it, went back and told them another story. I’m not even sure who we can go to about this, but don’t depend on this company if you want to be out of money.
How we do keep trusting them to solve an issue based on “step by step process” if they couldn't solve it the first two times. And we only called the company because the technician told us call them and ask for the refund. So nothing was fixed and they’re asking us for more money to come back to see this fridge after spending $2000 already where we could’ve just bought a whole brand new fridge for our restaurant. In these hard times people are facing, there come these scums who are here to pry money out of peoples hands
Criminal
Don't ever use the A team appliance repair. Worst customer service experience ever. I had them come fix my washing machine charged me 900 dollars for the repair they came and said it was fixed which it wasn't. Had them come back 7 days later to which they said further repairs were needed but would be done for free. Now there telling me I have to pay additional 1200 dollars for the repair. The people I've talked to on phone don't care at all that they just STOLE 900 dollars from me and left me with a washing machine that doesn't work. DONT EVER USE THE A TEAM APPLIANCE REPAIR THEY ARE JUST A BUNCH OF SCAMERS.
Warning: Untrustworthy A Team Appliance Repair Scams Customers and Provides Poor Service
This company, The A Team Appliance Repair, is not trustworthy. My experience with them was terrible. They charged me $316.40 for a service that they did not fix properly, and instead of making it better, they made it worse. I can't believe how unprofessional they are. When I checked with the Better Business Bureau, I found that many others had been scammed just like me. It's outrageous that this company is still in operation despite having so many complaints. I strongly advise that you steer clear of The A Team Appliance Repair.
Unimpressive customer service and damages incurred during repair by The A Team Appliance Repair
The A Team Appliance Repair (appliancerepairteam.ca) serviced my appliance recently. They replaced the control board and charged me over $900, which was quite a lot for me. I had to wait over 3 weeks for the part to arrive and get replaced. The technician who showed up on the day of the repair was rude, and so were the representatives on the phone. I wasn't impressed with their customer service at all. During the repair, they scratched my floor and refused to take responsibility for it because I had already signed the service order. If I had known about their bad reputation prior, I would have never used their services. I regret not reading the reviews before hiring them.
Beware of Dishwasher Repair Company: Wasted $327.70, Still Broken
This here company, they pulled a fast one on me. I forked over $327.70 in labour charges but my dishwasher's still busted. I mean, c'mon, this ain't right. How do they stay in business, anyways? Wish I did my homework before fallin' for their line. Checked 'em up on the BBB afterwards and found hundreds of other folks with my same story. Don't get duped like I did, do yourself a favor and research 'em before makin' any deals.
Beware of A Team Appliance Repair: Overpriced and Unprofessional
I ain't too pleased with the A Team Appliance Repair. They told me it'd be $90 just to come check out my fridge. But then, them crooks charged me $300 just for resettin' it - that's just unpluggin' and de-icin' it, ain't no big job. But then they tell me there's this part that ain't workin' right, and they wanna charge me $600 to replace an $80 fan. And then they say they ain't got the part, and it'll be another service call to come back. They ain't even got no credit card options, either - probably 'cause they know they're robbin' people. Don't waste your time with these folks.
The A Team Appliance Repair: Shady Service and Sky-High Prices
So, I gotta say something about The A Team Appliance Repair. They say they fix appliances, right? Well, let me tell ya, they did a terrible job with my fridge. They promised me it would work like a charm, but it still ain't coolin' my stuff properly. And how about the service price? It was sky-high! I was like, whoa, hold up there, buddy! But they just shrugged it off and expected me to pay up. And when I said no, they had the nerve to send me to collections! Like, seriously? And to make matters worse, they're still buggin' me about it. I swear, they just want my money, no matter what. It's real shady if you ask me. Anyways, if any of you are dealing with these scammers too, let's group up and sue 'em! Shoot me an email at susanmaecornishgmail.com and let's stick it to them.
Review: A Team Appliance Repair - Successful Outcome with Viking Broiler Repair
The A Team Appliance Repair, also known as appliancerepairteam.ca, is a company that I recently called to fix our Viking broiler. Despite a couple of hiccups, the eventual outcome was successful.
At first, Sean was called to our home to address a problem with both the broiler and oven igniters. So we bought new ones, thinking that would solve the issue. Sean returned to install them, only to find out that the problem was actually with the gas valve. Unfortunately, this was after we had spent the money on the igniters and had no funds left to purchase the necessary gas valve.
After a few months, we were finally able to get the gas valve installed. So far, it seems to be working well. However, we did notice that the oven ignites with visible flames when it's in the midst of reigniting. This occurs when the oven has cooled down and we check on the food inside.
While there were some delays and confusion during the repair process, the A Team Appliance Repair ultimately resolved the issue with our Viking broiler. We appreciate their professionalism and willingness to help us get the job done.
Beware of The A Team Appliance Repair: A Costly and Unnecessary Repair Scam
I ain't gonna lie, I called The A Team Appliance Repair when my Miele dishwasher wasn't working right. The service dude came real quick, which was definitely a plus. But then, this dude started talking about how I needed a new motor. And let me just tell you, this motor was costing twice as much as what Miele would charge for a new one, and nearly as much as buying a whole new dishwasher. I felt like I was getting scammed, but I wanted my dishwasher fixed right that day, so I went ahead and paid the $322 for the new motor.
A couple days later, a service rep from Miele came in and told me straight up that the motor was fine, but the alignment was off. WHAT?! I could've saved a whole lotta cash if I had just waited for Miele or done some research before calling these crooks.
So, the lesson is to do your research and look at reviews before you call in a service tech. Don't be like me and waste your money on these scam artists.
Disappointing Service and Rude Technician at The A Team Appliance Repair
I was really disappointed with the service I received from The A Team Appliance Repair. Not only was the technician pretty rude, but he also damaged a part of my fridge while he was trying to remove it. When he left, I noticed the damage and called the office right away to complain. But the person who answered the phone just told me that because I had already signed the invoice, they couldn't do anything to help me.
When I asked to speak to a manager or supervisor, I was told that the person I was talking to was a supervisor already, and that there was no one else to speak to. It was really frustrating because I felt like I wasn't being listened to or taken seriously.
In the end, I was told that I could email one of the owners if I had any further complaints. But honestly, I don't think I'll be using this company again. The whole experience was just really disappointing and made me feel like my concerns weren't being taken seriously.
If you're looking for an appliance repair company, I would definitely recommend looking elsewhere. There are plenty of other companies out there who will listen to your concerns and treat you with respect. This one just wasn't worth the time or money.
Avoid A Team Appliance Repair: Worst Customer Service and Overcharged for Faulty Repairs
Don't waste your time with The A Team Appliance Repair company! I've been having trouble with my GE refrigerator, and they still haven't fixed the problem.
The repair guy came in November and said that my freezer needed a new evaporator motor fan. He was aware that there was no model number, but he thought he could find the right part by searching online.
Before scheduling the repair, I had to pay 50% of the total cost in cash or debit. A week later, the technician installed the replacement part. But to my surprise, the fridge was making even more noise than before! In fact, it was so loud that it sounded like a car engine! The repair guy said that the part was either faulty or incompatible with GE refrigerators. However, he still asked me to pay the remaining amount for his service.
After a week, the technician returned with another part and tried to fix the motor by gluing pieces together like "Frankenstein," but it still didn't solve the problem.
Now, the company is avoiding the issue and stalling even though I've already paid them. It's been almost a month, and my fridge still doesn't work. The company has shown a lack of professionalism and poor customer service.
It's disappointing that the company has not taken any responsibility for issuing a refund of $766.07, which is the total amount I paid them. I haven't received any follow-up from them, and no one is responding to my calls or emails.
I urge you not to contact this company. Their technicians are uneducated and make assumptions, and they overcharge for their labour and parts. Furthermore, their customer service team is inefficient and follows the same script of 24-48 hours, without any follow-up or resolution. Don't waste your money and time with A Team Appliance Repair!
Deceptive and Unethical: Avoid This Company for Fridge Leak Repair!
Stay far away from this company! I recently had a fridge leak repair done by technician George, who charged me a whopping $1107 for the service. The repair included thawing ice build-up with a steam gun, two ordered parts, and sealant applied to a non-working ice maker. However, despite the high cost, my ice maker still doesn't work and George never even diagnosed the issue. It's clear that I was overcharged, as the cost of the parts was only $311.83 total, but I was charged $699.53. Even worse, I was charged for a part that was never needed or delivered.
My experience with the customer service representatives was no better than the service itself. I spoke with Charmain, Ella, Chandin, and Pooja, as well as their manager Clarice, but none of them were able to provide me with a satisfactory resolution. In the end, they only offered me a goodwill refund of $104 - a mere 15% off the cost of the parts. I requested a partial refund of $645.76 to cover the true cost of the service, but they refused.
My complaints include misleading advertising, as the $80 initial diagnosis fee jumped to $280; gross overcharging for the parts; improper and incompetent service and repair work; and deceiving and unethical business practices. In particular, I found it concerning that George changed his diagnosis between the initial and subsequent visits, claiming that the part he initially ordered was no longer needed. I also had concerns with the customer service representatives, especially when Charmain promised that my ice maker would be fully repaired at no extra cost, but Clarice later indicated that this promise had not been confirmed.
Overall, this company engages in highly deceptive practices that should not be tolerated. Steer clear and find a more reputable and trustworthy company for your appliance repair needs.

Service call
This is totally a SCAM company. They came for a repair 1 hour after I called them. They quoted me 80 dollars for a service call . They were in my home for 1 minute , looked at the dishwasher and told me I needed a new seal and it would cost 750 dollars . I said I would rather buy a new dishwasher and agreed to pay them the 80 dollars for the service call. They ran through 550 dollars on my card against my wishes. I called the office and was told the owners are silent partners and there is no one to talk to . I was told their office is closed to public and if I came by they would call the police. A TOTAL SCAM COMPANY ! I reported this to the police. There are pages of similar complaints all over the internet , everyone was scammed. Why is this company allowed to be in business and continue to scam daily innocent people. This needs to stop immediately but how ?
Desired outcome: Consequences for this SCAM COMPANY

Misaligned Prices and Subpar Service: My Experience with A Team Appliance Repair
Okay, so here's the sitch: The A Team Appliance Repair ain't cheap, if you know what I mean. I mean, they charged me more than I expected, and I ain't got much to spare, you know? And to top it off, the technician they sent over didn't really seem to know what he was doing. I mean, he fixed my fridge all right, but I'm not sure if I trust his work, you know? And don't even get me started on their call center. I called a few times to check on my appointment, and the folks on the other end just didn't seem very professional, if you know what I mean. So yeah, if you're thinking of using The A Team, my advice would be to shop around a bit more. There are definitely better companies out there, if you know what I mean.
Disappointing Experience with The A Team Appliance Repair - A Review
I recently experienced some issues with my home appliances and decided to reach out to The A Team Appliance Repair (appliancerepairteam.ca) for assistance. Unfortunately, my overall experience with their service was not great.
Firstly, they sent a technician who did not appear to be licensed or professional. This gave me some concerns about the quality of work that would be done. Additionally, the individual seemed to be lacking in knowledge and did not seem to know how to properly address the issues with my appliances.
To my surprise, the technician suggested that I should get the appliance fixed by LG – a totally different company – which made me think that he didn't know what he was talking about.
When it was time to pay, the amount they charged me was $320 plus tax. I felt that this was a high amount, especially because the problem had not been fully resolved and I still had to call LG to come and fix the appliance.
All in all, the experience was quite disappointing and I would not recommend this company to others looking for quality appliance repair services.
I forked over $327.70 in labour charges but my dishwasher's still busted. They even wanted to charge me more for parts that the machine does not need.
Thieves.
