My statement came in the mail (bill) and all my personal information & acc# with the other peoples acc#'s, i was shocked around 8/1/07. I immediately called swiss colony, well they just told me to throw them out? I asked to speak to the supervisor, well that was a fight with the girl... I would be careful with all this identify theft going on... And what happened to (privacy/security of our personal information ( i called these people and they were shocked, so i let the bbb know & m.d stokes response was she would give me a credit for my trustworthiness (which i have yet to see) she talked a good game to the bbb though? I just wanted (we the consumer) to be aware of this. Needless to say i did not use their information... I consider myself a christian woman, and would never do that. I have also asked what has she done about it...
All the companies. Swiss Colony, Ginnys, Midnight Velvet, Seventh Avenue are the most unhelpful, ripoff companies I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. NO MORE.
Swiss Colony is a joke! The website says we had $700 in credit, and a $100 balance, yet they had the gall to write to me and demand $34 before they would honor a $68 order. I told them to cancel the entire account once we were at zero which is now. Thank God we did not charge more! Everyone know this: they truly are a rip-off!
I jus got one thing 2 say about Swiss Colony "RIPOFF". I will never order anything ever again from this company, and i recommend that you take "Caution" if u bother 2 waste you time ordering from them.I found too many discreptancies with my bill.and unlawful charges.To top it off they were no help over the phone even after speaking to four different people.what a waste of time and money.Not to mention their products were really not up to par...Try "Figis", same products better quality and exceptional service...
Had very good success with Swiss Colony on over twenty orders over the years. One time a spout on a coffee pot broke . . . they took it back with a full refund, no questions asked.
WOWWWWW, , , , ive dealt with midnight velvet and ashro and didnt have any problems with either companies...all my returns were handled very well... hearing all your complaints, i guess im kinda glad i owe both companies and with the way the economy is, will file both on my bankruptcy... ONE FOR THE TEAM... :-) lol
I received the catalog just a few days ago - with a "pre approved credit of $400" - and "no payment until February 2010." I called the Swiss Colony and placed my order. So far so good. I am to receive the order by December 15, 2009. Hopefully, there won't be a problem. But if I don't receive it by said date, it will at least give me time to complete my Christmas gift list before Christmas. I plan to post the results on this site. Stay tuned.
I placed an order with Swiss colony November 10, 2009 and the order was to arrive no later than December 23. As today is December 22, I decided to call and find out were my order was. as it turns out they just shipped the order today and there is no way that it will arrive by tomorrow. They also told me 3 of the items that I ordered would not be shipped as the are out of them. I ordered these items almost 2 months ago, and it will not arrive on time nor will I be receiving the complete order.
When I emailed customer service they responded with an email that stated my required deposit for the Items was not received and cleared until December 21. However, the money was payed in full on November 12, and taken out of my bank account. November 12th... 41 days earlier than they stated. I have never heard of anything like this 41 days for a payment to clear it is unbelievable with no indication of any problems and no notification from the company.
Not only did this bother me but, the Items they say were unavailable to ship for my order they are all available online to order. So, If I order today and pay the extra 24.95 expedited shipping I will have all of my items in time for Christmas but, the Items I ordered and payed for in full almost 2 months ago will not be a complete order and will not be here on time...
i made an order to this company in mid october in the amount of $135. They told me they did a credit check and that i would need to make a payment of $65 before they could persue the order. i went ahead and made my payment. i received everything that i ordered and had been making excellent payments of $20 dollars each month. since easter is around the corner i looked up my account and they gave me a $500 dollar limit. they said if i charged $175 that my payments would stay the same. i only owe $25 dollars left on my account, so i placed $111 dollar order for their easter baskets. 2 weeks later i received a letter that they would need 50% of the money up front. Whats the point of using the choose n charge account if i can't use it for the low montly payments? Thats the only reason why i wanted to order from them. it is just a slap in the face, that all this time of making early payments and them not going through with their word. they shouldn't tell me i have a $500 limit if they won't honor it. my bill isn't due until the 11th of the month and i always pay on the 1st. to make matters worse, they don't report to credit bureas. They sure as hell will check your credit. i have them as an inquiry on my record. inquiries do impact your credit. This company is a rip off and i will never do business with them again. The christmas stuff i ordered was ok. i could have saved money if i would have went to the store. it was christmas time and i wanted to conserve money with the low payments. even though i was loyal to them, they were never loyal to me. so buyer beware!
having nothing but problems with swiss colony. ordered from then and paid them by credit card and they are calling every day stating that i owe them money. i have sebt 3 letters and NEVER received a reply. submitted documation show that i have paid them in full and they are still harassing me. NEVER been treated so poorly!
A big waiste of money. They dont report good payments. But if you dont pay them. They will report it faithfully!
Swiss colony is a great company. People complain when they do not have the facts. Some people call and complain stating they never received a response to their letter. I have seen countless letters where customers only signed their name, so not only is it hard to read, but there is not enough information there to find their order. I recommend calling. I have heard complaints about the phone lines being busy, but those customers call at 5 or 6 when everyone else is calling and on a Monday when everyone could not make the payment on the weekend is calling in. I also can see there are complaints about the order requiring a down payment. Sometime there are other factors that are making it so the company has to require a down payment. If you are past due on that account or any of the affiliate's accounts, the company cannot send an order out without a down payment. Also complaints about customer service, if you constantly interrupt the representatives so they cannot explain what is going on, how can you expect to get the help you are looking for? Sometimes, it is not the customer service or the company, but the customer. Have you ever thought, if I were a Christian, I would be more patient when trying to get help?
Have ordered from Swiss Colony for years. This year when placing an order they asked for my social security number and whether I owned a home. I asked why and the woman said she didn't know. Wrote to customer service twice and to the company but did not even receive the courtsey of a reply!
They have lost a customer! I do NOT think that they should have asked for my social security number and have to wonder if it is some kind of scam. They don't need this information!
Swiss Colony is a complete scam and joke. DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM! I ordered 90 bucks worth of special items for Christmas and they sent me 2 tiny boxes of crap that was the wrong order and refuse to give my money back via credit card which is how I paid. complete disappointment. One person love them...they must work for them is all I have to say
Swiss colony sent me a letter stating I had $250.00 in credit and I ordered a few things I was told that I had to send in a down payment. Also said I was late on a payment when I always pay the first week of the month before my payment is due. This is not right. Please look into this matter. Thank you.

I had placed and order but called the very next day to tell what had happen the told me. They couldn't do anything because already ship I was charged 96 dollers I don't know what to do. I had order one thing then realized there two nothings two when I called. Only thing won't is a refund.
My order #[protected] contained the strawberry pie slice cakes. They are cute but several pieces are much smaller than the others. I needed twenty pieces about the same size. Some of them are half the size of others.

Your shipping costs are outrageous! I worked for a company that doubled the cost to the consumer just to make more money. I have been a customer for MANY years. I may not do any business with you in the future..$18 or $19 shipping for a small package going only a couple of states away is gouging
Ordered several times from phone on 12/6/23. Could not find my account although I ordered for years.. up to $2200 lim/$75/mo. Both females saw no account, when I finally got order in, was charged FULL AMT on card instead of monthly pymts. One female stated I'm making it hard on her and hung up on me. Second female put me on hold never returned.
I was unable to change my order after two days of calling and emailing. They never answered the emails and once I finally got through I was told I couldn’t make any changes. Their system is out of date and they have terrible customer service. Save your money and shop elsewhere!
