The Swiss Colony has been maddening and frustrating to deal with for several years now! Orders - shipped by fedex - often never arrive or they go to someone else's address and attempts to have Swiss Colony fix the problems go unanswered and so you have to dispute the charges with your credit card. And they do not make up for your bad experiences in any way like with a courtesy shipment, coupon, or discount. They have been steadily getting worse the last few years and so I will no longer do business with them and I urge others to save yourself the aggravation and unhappiness and do the same!

My family has been a Swiss colony customer for years
Very happy with everything i ordered. Beef log is always fresh. Chocolate delicious. Everything came on time or early. Seafood dips are very good. My mom ordered for years and now that my mom is no longer with us, i order. And i am hoping that my niece and nephews will continue ordering when they are older with families.

I placed an order on 10/21/2021, and i got all my items on 10/24/2021, that fast service and very dependable and liable company. I am very happy with them as i am every year. Been a customer for years, great company, and great prices and the customer service people are always kind and friendly on the phone, i highly recommend them to everyone.
A solid online company for food and gifts
I have been ordering Christmas gifts (Jumbo Cheese and Sausage combs) for about a decade from Swiss Colony. These are upper quality items, and you do get what you pay for in life, but also the non-food merchandise they offer is over priced. Customer service is good, they have a variety of food and gifts, have tried a variety of items over the years, always good to very good taste and quality. They will ship merchandise to anywhere in USA. They offer credit, but just remember it is a high interest rate.

I've been a loyal customer of Swiss Colony since 1980 and I must say, their deliveries have never failed me. They always arrive around the date I choose and they even offer FREE replacements if my order is missing an item. That's what I call commitment!
One thing I absolutely love about Swiss Colony is their creamy cheese spreads. They go perfectly with crackers and thick slices of bread. Their hard cheeses and sausages are also a hit in my family. We love to arrange them on a chess board with various toppings, making it a festive display for any occasion.

Now, I know what you're thinking. If I love Swiss Colony so much, why am I only giving them 3 stars? Well, here's the thing. As a longtime customer of 42 years, I've noticed that their delivery charge is outrageously high.
My family has expanded over the years, with children, marriages, and grandchildren. Budgeting has become a necessity for us. We always look for free shipping or a good percentage off when shopping. But when I placed an order with Swiss Colony this year, I was shocked to see my delivery charge and surge charge come to over $42.00! And that was just for the delivery of a few gift variety packs to our home (which we hand out before Christmas).
I even called Swiss Colony's customer service to request free shipping or a percentage off for being a "valued customer" for 42 years. But unfortunately, they couldn't offer me anything. It's a shame, really. I'm always being told I'm a valued customer, but when it comes down to it, I don't feel valued at all.
Don't get me wrong, we reluctantly placed an order this year. But next year, we'll have to look for other options. It's just not worth it to pay such a high delivery charge when there are other stores that offer free shipping or incentives for loyal customers.
Overall, I still love Swiss Colony's products. But their delivery charge is just too high for my budget.

I went to Swiss Colony's website a few months ago after receiving their Christmas catalog in the mail. Let me tell you, they have some amazing treats! I placed an order and was pleasantly surprised at how quickly my items were shipped. The petite fours were so delicious that I ended up ordering more for myself. My friend loved the little loaves of bread with spreads on top, and I couldn't resist the Double Chocolate Raspberry Cream Filled Torte. It was absolutely heavenly!
Even though the items are a bit pricey, they are definitely worth it. I couldn't afford to buy everything outright, but Swiss Colony offers payment plans that allow you to pay for your order over the course of a year. Most of the items need to be kept cold because they contain dairy, but they held up well in the fridge and were a hit with my family and friends on Christmas morning.
Swiss Colony runs specials during the holiday season, like discounts when you buy several items at once. They even sent me a free gift - I got to choose between a beautiful metal tin of Christmas cookies or a box of 24 petite fours. I went with the cookies and they were delicious!
I'm already looking forward to next Christmas so I can try some of the other items Swiss Colony has to offer. They have towers filled with all sorts of goodies, like homemade bread crisps with different types of cheeses to choose from. My friend said they were amazing. Wow, let me tell you about my experience with Swiss Colony. I was trying to order some gifts for my loved ones online, and boy was it a mess. I received some of the presents, but also got a letter saying that some items were unavailable and that I needed to call them to order alternative items. I mean, come on, why were they selling items that they didn't even have in stock? The website clearly showed that they were available, so what gives?
To make matters worse, they sent me a snail-mail letter that arrived the same day as the package, telling me to call them. When I called their customer service number, I couldn't speak with anyone until I answered a survey that had nothing to do with my order. They asked me if there were any people over 50 in my household and if anyone had a car. What kind of survey is that? I didn't press any buttons, and their system hung up on me. That's just ridiculous.
I had to look for another number, and when I finally got through to someone, they were in the wrong department and couldn't help me. After another long wait, I finally talked to someone who could help me, and it turned out that the letter was a lie. I didn't even need to call them. The only good thing was that they apparently don't charge for items they can't fulfill, but why couldn't they just send me an email showing an adjusted charge and a list of items that ARE coming?
Their communication and service were just terrible, and that survey gatekeeping was just predatory. I'm sure they're going to use people's phone numbers and answers for future marketing by their "partners." I'm never going to spend money with them again.

I am extremely disappointed with Swiss Colony and Tender Filet. I have been a loyal customer of both companies for 7 years and have never missed a payment. However, this month, Swiss Colony did not take out their payment for March and now they want a double payment for April. I had already figured out my bills for March and included the payment for Swiss Colony, but now I have to pay double. I have great credit and always make sure my payments come right out of my bank account. The company or their computer system must have made a mistake, but they didn't even bother to call me to let me know.
When I called customer service, they were no help at all. They didn't do anything to solve the problem and the bank management was just as unhelpful. I even offered to pay the over draft fee if they would just work something out with me, but the manager didn't care about losing a good customer. Both companies always seem to be out of stock or not on time with their orders.
I am going to pay off my bill, but I will never work with these companies again. They clearly don't care about their customers or take responsibility for their mistakes. I wouldn't recommend joining this company unless you want to be blamed for their mistakes and talk to a manager who couldn't care less about losing you as a customer.
SwissColony's Corporate Gift Ordering System is a Nightmare: A Review
I tried to order some corporate gifts from SwissColony's website in December of 2018. I put in over 20 names and addresses into my account's address book, but the system wouldn't process the orders from the address book. I contacted customer service for help, and they told me I had to enter each order individually. That meant I had to place over 25 orders one by one. It took me hours to do something that should have taken a few minutes.
To make matters worse, my credit card started declining the orders because there were so many of them coming in at the same time. I called customer service again, and they told me that the first person I spoke to was wrong. I should have been able to do it all in one order. The customer service representative then placed each order while I was on the phone (over 20 orders), and made sure the credit card transactions went through.
A year later, I received an invoice for $28.98. I was shocked. I hadn't heard from them at all, and then a year later, I get an invoice. I tried to contact customer service, but every time I called, I got disconnected. I tried to reach them via email, but they just gave me the customer service number again. I called the new number, and after explaining the issue, I got disconnected AGAIN. I had to explain everything all over again when I called back.
Finally, a customer service representative told me that the supervisor did not have the authority to credit the account. I asked to speak with someone who did, and I was put on hold for a few minutes. The supervisor came back and said that the charge was initially declined but then went through. However, she would have to confirm with the accounting department, which could take 24-48 hours. I asked for a call back when it was cleared up, but she said I would have to call them back in 24-48 hours.
I will NEVER do business with SwissColony again. It was a frustrating experience that took up too much of my time.
Swiss Colony Ruined My Christmas Gifts: A Review
My mom's been ordering from Swiss Colony for like 30 years now. I hadn't ordered from them in a while, but I decided to send some food gifts to my relatives. I placed my first order on December 4th, but I never got a shipping confirmation. I was getting worried about my aunt's gift, so I called them up. Turns out they couldn't fulfill that order and they didn't even bother to email me about it. I was pretty upset because it was getting close to the holidays, but I decided to give them another chance. I reordered a new gift and even paid for expedited shipping. A few days later, I got an email saying that the item had shipped, but they sent it to the wrong address! I was freaking out, so I called them up to try and fix it. They said they couldn't reroute the item or stop the shipment, but they promised me a refund. They also said I could keep the mistake order since they don't take food back. All I had to do was call back on Monday for my refund. On that same call, I ordered another expensive present with expedited shipping to make sure my aunt got a nice gift in time. This was my third time trying to order for my aunt.
When Monday came around, I called them up for my refund. But they refused to give it to me! They said I had to send back the food, even though they would just throw it out. I asked to speak to someone else in customer service, but they dropped my call. I called back again, being polite both times, but they hung up on me again. Finally, I called one more time and the woman on the line said I had to donate the item to a Salvation Army or sit at home all day for UPS and refuse the package when it arrives. I was so disgusted with their service. I spent over $150 on gifts and they made a mistake, but they won't make it right. I would have never ordered a third gift if I knew I wouldn't get my refund. I even told them I didn't have that kind of money to be spending on little cheeses and sausages, but they lied to me. The last woman I spoke to even admitted her colleague lied to me! What kind of business are they running here?
I'm never ordering from Swiss Colony again and I'm going to make sure my entire family knows not to order from them either. It's Christmas time and they ruined my gifts.
Swiss Colony's Customer Service Fails to Deliver on Guaranteed Satisfaction
Last Christmas, my Aunt sent my family and me the most amazing cookies from Swiss Colony. It was like taking a trip back to my childhood at Christmas time. I wanted to place the identical order and spoke to my Aunt, asking which cookies she had ordered. She actually had the receipt on-hand and read it off to me. I placed the identical order, only to discover that while the title for this variety of cookies was the same -the cookies had in fact changed! They did, however, have the identical assortment of cookies under a different product name. I called less than 12 hours from the time my order had been placed and BEFORE anything had even shipped. Customer service basically told me that there was nothing they could do for me and suggested that I create a whole new order. Obviously, I was not intending on spending $90 on Christmas cookies. So, I ended up leaving a negative review on their site, to which they responded. They wanted to somehow make things right. I went back and forth several times via their customer service email. They wanted me to either choose something similar to the cookies I ordered, which would have been the correct Spring Cookies obviously! Either that or settle for a price adjustment. This is their message word for word: Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience we have caused you. Your business is important to us, and your complete satisfaction is guaranteed! As your order has shipped, no further changes can be made; however, we do want to correct this situation for you. Please let us know your choice - a replacement of an item like the Holiday Cookies or an adjustment. As soon as we receive your response (including the item number if you would like something similar), we will proceed accordingly.
Guaranteed?...Well, I just wanted the right cookies from the start. I asked for the cookies under the different name (Spring Cookies). They replied stating that those cookies are no longer available, even though they show up as being available on their website. This is what I got back: Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience we have caused you. We apologize that the item you requested, A, is not available at this time. Every effort is made to create a catalog that provides variety and interest to everyone. Occasionally, some items must be deleted to make way for new ones.
No response when I asked for an adjustment either. None. What I got back was my original shipping confirmation for the wrong cookies and no price adjustment whatsoever.
They waited until the item shipped and then failed to honor what they had offered me for my aggravation. So pointless and all too time-consuming.
I have ordered seasonally from Swiss Colony many years ago as well. I was a loyal customer, but I will never shop them ever again. Scrolling through their reviews says a lot. Stale cookies and far too many changes with their products. No thanks. It's a shame because I used to love their products, but now I can't trust them to deliver what I ordered. It's frustrating to have to deal with customer service that doesn't seem to care about their customers' satisfaction. I understand that sometimes products change, but they should make sure that the new products are at least similar to the old ones. It's not fair to customers to receive something completely different than what they ordered. I bought the 2pounds of the three cheeses.i use to buy the 3 pounds but.i have not seen that in the book this year.i was in and out the hospital last year so I don't remember if I got it then too.but,when I got the 3 pound each I think it tasted better. I usually get it every year and cut half of it on Christmas eve and the other half for new years eve.my grown-up kids thought it tasted different also.is it possible that it cures differently in the different sizes?I was alittle disappointed this year not sure I'll order it next year .and I was home when it was delivered and put it right into the fridge.thought is ask if there could be a different in the sizes.

I have been a loyal customer with Swiss Colony for 15 years and moved from New York in 2022 to Florida. I put my order in on December 5, 2023 in the morning to have a few deliveries go to different addresses like I do every year and now they can’t guarantee it before Christmas which makes me very very upset because nobody notified me by email that I need to put 10% down. I called today to put the order back in and gave $200 down and asked the woman that took the payment to switch me to customer service and the woman in customer service was so rude and wouldn’t let me talk. It said Order Summary, print receipt. The total on the receipt was $37.61. When I checked online at my card company I discovered that I had actually been charged $50.97. I called customer service to find out why and was told that the additional charge amount was for shipping. If that was the case why wasn't the shipping showing on my order summary? I order quite frequently over the internet and have done for many years. Never have I placed an order without the shipping fee showing. Since there was no shipping fee on my Swiss Colony order I assumed that shipping was free. I consider this to be a very underhanded way to do business and will warn people not to buy from them.

I call 800-913-0743 to see how I could get the free item, I was told I would have to place an order to get it. Why should I have to place an order and pay a shipping charge. I have had an experience with SwissColony that left me feeling frustrated and disappointed. It all started many years ago when I placed an order for Christmas goodies for my family and friends. I can't quite remember what the issue was back then, but it wasn't until I placed another order this year that it all came flooding back to me.
On December 6th, 2021, I placed an order with SwissColony for $240 and charged it to my Visa card. I was excited to receive my order in time for Christmas, but 12 days later, on the 18th, I received a letter via snail mail from SwissColony claiming that the charge to my card was declined. I was given no reason for the decline, and when I called my credit card company, they had no record of the attempted charge. My Visa was in good standing, so I was left feeling confused and frustrated.
It wasn't until I read the letter from SwissColony that it all came back to me. This was the same situation that I had experienced years ago with my previous order. The letter stated that they would continue with the order if I mailed a cashier's check for the full amount. Of course, this would have delayed the order, and it wouldn't have arrived in time for Christmas unless I paid for overnight delivery, which would have almost doubled the cost of the original order. I decided not to respond to the letter and instead ordered goodies from Amazon on the 20th, with free delivery guaranteed before Christmas.
Overall, my experience with SwissColony left me feeling disappointed and frustrated. I had hoped to receive my order in time for Christmas, but instead, I was left with a declined charge and no explanation. While I understand that mistakes happen, I was disappointed that SwissColony didn't offer any solutions or alternatives to help me receive my order in time. As a result, I will not be ordering from SwissColony again in the future.
Disappointing Experience with Swiss Colony: Cancelled Order and Poor Customer Service
So, I gotta say, I had a pretty rough experience with Swiss Colony. Last year, I was all excited to place an order for some holiday gifts, but then I found out just a week before Christmas that my order had been cancelled. And why, you ask? Well, apparently there was a fraud alert on my account - which I had actually placed myself - and instead of verifying my identity, they just went ahead and cancelled my order. Not cool, Swiss Colony, not cool.
So, I called them up to try and sort things out, and let me tell you, it was a whole ordeal. I had to place each order to 31 different people individually, which took over an hour on the phone. And when I offered to pay with a credit card, they straight up refused to take my payment. Like, what kind of customer service is that?
Fast forward to this year, and I'm still having issues with them. Apparently, no one is able to remove the fraud alert or check to verify my identity so that I can use their credit service. And on top of that, last year some people got their gifts for Christmas on Thanksgiving (like, what?) and others didn't get their gifts until a week or so after Christmas. Some people even got two of the same thing! It was a mess.
Honestly, I don't think I'll be using Swiss Colony again after this. I mean, I paid for everything this year, but I can't seem to get through to anyone in order to verify my identity and remove the fraud alert. It's just not worth the hassle.

After a few days went by, I still hadn't received any email about my credit approval or how much I needed to pay each month. I decided to call SwissColony back to check on the status of my order. The person I spoke to said I would receive an email in a day or so, but I never got one. I didn't want my gift to be sold out, so I called back a third time.
The gentleman I spoke to was nice, but he couldn't answer my credit question. He transferred me to customer service, but they couldn't help me either. Finally, I was transferred to a woman in credit, but she hung up on me! I was so frustrated and disappointed with the service I received from SwissColony.
I would not recommend ordering from this company. They don't seem to have their act together when it comes to customer service and credit approval. I urge you to run away from this company and find a better option for your holiday shopping needs. And please, SwissColony, remove my name from all future catalogs!

Eventually, they were able to charge me right away, which I was happy about.
However, my happiness was short-lived. Yesterday, I received a call from Swiss Colony saying that my payment had been declined when they tried to ship out my items. I was confused and frustrated, as I had been told by both their representative and my bank that they had already received my payment in full.
I called Swiss Colony twice to try and sort out the issue, but it was a waste of time. I spoke with two different people who both told me that it was just an authorization hold on my card. I was not satisfied with this explanation and asked to be charged outright for the items. They assured me that they had taken my payment in full, but I couldn't help feeling like I had been lied to.
Overall, I am not happy with my experience with Swiss Colony. I feel like their employees were not honest with me and I was left feeling robbed. I would not recommend anyone to buy from them if they can't get their business straight. It's a shame, as I was really looking forward to receiving my items, but now I am left feeling disappointed and frustrated.
Swiss Colony Review: Illegal Sales Tax and Slow Refunds
So, last year I decided to give Swiss Colony a try. Unfortunately, my order arrived after Christmas which put me in a bit of a pickle. However, I decided to give them another chance this year. But, once again, they managed to get me all riled up. You see, I live in a state where food that is consumed at home is exempt from sales tax. But, Swiss Colony tried to charge me sales tax on my order. And, to make matters worse, they also tried to charge me an extra $1.99 for a special shipping charge that wasn't even on the order form I sent them. I told them that what they were doing was illegal and that they needed to fix it. They agreed to take off the $1.99 charge, but refused to take off the sales tax. I was not happy about this, and I let them know it. I cancelled my order and told them that what they were doing was illegal in my state.
Now, let me tell you, they sure don't mind taking your money in a second, but when it comes to refunding it, they take their sweet time. It's been 6 weeks since they said they would send me a refund, and I still haven't received it. I'm not impressed, to say the least. I will never order from them again.
If you live in a state where food is exempt from sales tax, make sure you check your invoice to see if they illegally charged you tax. And, if they did, make sure you notify the BBB and your state attorney general. It's important to hold companies accountable for their actions.
SwissColony: Disappointing Business Practices and Unwanted Orders
I gotta say, I'm pretty disappointed with SwissColony. My wife ordered some stuff from them, no big deal. But then, outta nowhere, they sent a whole 'nother order that we didn't even know about! When we got it, we called 'em up to return it, but they said we couldn't return food orders. What kinda BS is that? We told 'em we didn't want it and they said we could just keep it and not worry about it. But then they went and opened up an account for us and charged us for the second order! We never said they could do that! We talked to a bunch of different people at SwissColony for like three weeks, but they wouldn't budge. We finally just gave up and paid for the stupid second order, even though we didn't want it in the first place. It's messed up, man. SwissColony used to be a good company, but now they're just a bunch of crooks. I'm telling you, don't waste your time or money with these guys. Their stuff might taste good, but their business practices are straight up garbage. We're never ordering from SwissColony again, that's for sure.

SwissColony.com Review: Great Products, Disappointing Shipping Process
So, I recently ordered some gifts from SwissColony.com and I have to say, I'm a bit disappointed with the shipping process. I placed my order on December 3rd and the label was printed on December 8th. However, as of December 13th, Fed-Ex has not even received the product yet to ship. That's a total of 10 days in limbo.
I tried calling customer service, but couldn't get through. Based on other reviews, I'm not sure if that would have helped anyway. When I checked the automated phone system, it said the items were shipped on December 5th. But according to the Fed-Ex tracking, they haven't even received the product yet.
I did receive an email from customer service saying the items were shipped on December 5th and to expect up to 10 days for delivery. However, with conflicting information and the products sitting in limbo for so long, it's worrisome for the customer.
I think SwissColony.com could improve their communication by sending out emails to customers saying to expect delays after the label is created. It would be better than outright lying about the shipping process.
Despite the shipping issues, I have to say that the products themselves are great. I ordered gifts for two different addresses and they were both well-received. The quality of the products is top-notch and the packaging is beautiful.
Overall, I would recommend SwissColony.com for their products, but be aware that the shipping process may not be the smoothest.
SwissColony Review: "Buy Now, Pay Later" Policy is a Scam - Beware!
This company, SwissColony, has a policy that lets you "buy now and pay later." But let me tell you, they have no control over this scheme. I got a cake in the mail that I didn't order or want, and it turns out someone else took advantage of the buy now pay later option. Seven months later, I got a bill for the order. When I called customer service, they told me that someone else had ordered the cake, but they wouldn't tell me anything else or remove me as the person who owed them money. Instead, they sent me to Loss Prevention, and I talked to a woman named Tracy who clearly has never done any fraud investigation in her life. Even though she immediately put the account in fraud status, this company is now making me go through a dispute to prove that I never ordered the cake. They have the account number and can look up who set up the account (not me) and applied for their credit (which requires a social security number), but they refuse to do so. They even admitted that the cake that was supposed to be sent to me was never delivered, but they still want money for it? What a joke. Do yourself a favor and order from a company that actually has values. This company clearly doesn't.
Disappointed with Swiss Colony's Customer Service: A Lifelong Customer's Review
Me and my family have been using Swiss Colony for over 35 years now. We always send out gifts and order for our family during Christmas time. My children and I have always enjoyed the products from Swiss Colony. I placed an order with them about a month ago, but unfortunately, one of the items I wanted was sold out. The company contacted me and asked me to choose another item to replace it with, which I did. However, when I received my order, the replacement item was missing. I tried calling their customer service, but the lines were always busy, so I ended up sending multiple emails to explain what happened.
After three weeks of emailing, I finally received a response asking me what I would like to replace the missing item with. I assumed that they would send it to me since it was their mistake, but I was wrong. The last email I received from them told me to place a new order and pay for shipping again. I was shocked! Why should I pay for shipping again when it was their mistake? I replied to their email, but I was totally ignored. It's really disappointing to see such a horrible business practice from a company that I have been loyal to for so long.
As a result, I have decided to take my family's business to Hickory Farms. I'm really disappointed that Swiss Colony has lost a lifelong customer.
FedEx, your delivery service
On March 28, 2023 I placed two orders for your Easter Petits Fours (Order #[protected] & Order #[protected]). You had advertised that if you ordered by March 28th, it would be delivered by Easter. On 3/29 the first order was sent from Monroe, WI to FedEx Smart Post (FedEx tells me it is now called FedEx Ground Economy) in New Berlin, WI. From there it was sent to Henderson, CO where it stayed for several days and then to Aurora, CO where it is now. I have received a notice that it will be delivered on Mon., April 10th, the day after Easter. The second order left Monroe, WI on 3/29 and sent to FedEx in New Berlin, WI. From there it went to Hutchins, TX where it stayed for several days. It is currently in Dallas, TX. The order was to be delivered to friends in Fairview, TX, a suburb of Dallas. However, I just got a notice from FedEx that it won't be delivered until Wed., April 19th, 10 days after Easter. If it's in Dallas now, why can't it be delivered today or tomorrow? That makes no sense. I have been a good customer of Swiss Colony. But, after this horrible experience, I don't think I'll be ordering from you in the future. Penny Andersen, El Paso, Tx.

Order #[protected] dated 11/29/2022, item #AW000715 for $34.99 was cancelled but it was charged on the statement. I called Customer Service I was informed that credit issued 11/29/2022 to my credit card. My credit card statements for 11/03-12/022022; 12/03/2022-01/02/2023 and 01/03/[protected]/2023 do not show credit issued. I sent e-mail to Customer Service 11/29/2022; 12/08/2022; 12/09/2022 and 02/12/2023 beside calling Customer Service several times, but only able to talk with them in two occasions. It is very difficult to contact them. I have ordered from Swiss Colony very frequently in the past and never had any problem. It seems like the ownership or administration of the company has changed, consequently no providing the "Family owns" care.
Desired outcome: I would like the amount to be credited to my credit card.
