Untrustworthy and Shady: My Disappointing Experience with ThorLo, Inc
I gotta say, my experience with ThorLo, Inc. was not great. The folks over there seem to be a bit shady. I mean, they straight up lied to me about their lifetime return policy. And to top it off, they sent me some busted merchandise one time. Not cool, Thorlos US. I wouldn't recommend buying from them or trusting them with your hard-earned cash.

Thorlo is a really good company! Their product is amazing and they communicate really well. I always buy my husband's and my sport socks from them. I've been doing it for years now. They make a sock that fits his size 15 foot, which is really great for me. I don't have to worry about finding the right size anymore. The quality of their socks is really good too. They last a long time and don't wear out easily. I've tried other brands before, but they just don't compare to Thorlo. I also really appreciate their customer service. They told me they sent it through California and then to Hawaii, but I guess the socks decided to take a dip in the ocean instead of coming straight to me. They only gave me one phone call to let me know that, and since then, I've been trying to get them to resend my order because it's obviously lost in the mail. I've sent them several emails and left them a bunch of voicemails, but I haven't heard back from them. It's really frustrating because they only sell one thing - socks - and they can't even get that right. I don't understand how they can run a business like this. It's unacceptable and just plain lame. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

Thorlo Review: Poor Customer Service and Risky Business Practices
I gotta say, I'm not too impressed with Thorlo. I mean, I know I'm not the only one who's had some issues with this company. It's just not cool that they don't let you talk to someone directly when you call. Every time I try, I just get a voicemail message. And don't even get me started on how they never respond to emails. It's like they don't even care about their customers.
But that's not even the worst part. They actually charge your credit card before they even ship your order! That's just not right. I mean, what if they never even send you your stuff? Then you're out of luck and out of money. It's just not a good way to do business.
If you're like me and you've had some bad experiences with Thorlo, you should know that you can file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission. And if you used your credit card to make a purchase, you can also file a dispute with your credit card company. It's just not worth the risk to keep doing business with a company that doesn't seem to care about their customers.
So, yeah. I wouldn't recommend Thorlo to anyone. They're just too problematic and high risk for my liking.
Disappointed with Thorlo's Customer Service and Sizing Issues
I bought a pair of socks from Thorlo about a year ago and I gotta say, I was pretty happy with them. So, this year I decided to order two more pairs. Unfortunately, they sent me the wrong size, even though I ordered the same size as last time and as indicated on their size chart. I sent them back and explained the situation, but they still sent me two more pairs in the wrong size. These socks were tiny, more like the size of my hand than my foot (see photo).
I reached out to Thorlo on December 21st to let them know about the issue. They replied saying they had a lot of inquiries and were running behind. I waited a bit and then wrote to them again. They responded saying they were having technical problems and would get back to me. I wrote to them again, but it wasn't until this week, on January 25th, that they finally got back to me. They apologized for the delay and asked if my problem had been resolved. I told them no, but they just said they had a lot of inquiries and would get back to me. I pointed out that they had never actually gotten back to me and they responded saying they were having technical problems.
Throughout this whole ordeal, Thorlo has never once offered to do anything helpful for me. It's a shame because I really liked their socks, but I ended up giving them to my neighbor's kid. I'm disappointed with the customer service and lack of resolution to my problem.
Thorlo Socks: Great Product, Terrible Customer Service and Shipping
I gotta say, I tried out Thorlo socks for the first time when I ordered them from Zappos and I was pretty impressed. They were soft, had good padding, and were super comfortable. So, I decided to check out their website and order directly from them. Big mistake.
I placed an order for 7 pairs of socks on November 2nd, which was a Monday. I was expecting to hear about shipping within a week or so, but I didn't hear anything from Thorlo. I know shipping times during the pandemic can be delayed a bit, but every other company I've ordered from has been able to get things shipped out in, at most, 7 business days. And looking through their site, they made no mention at all to extremely slowed ship times.
I sent them a message through their online contact form with a simple inquiry as to the status of my order around the 10th of November. I didn't hear back after a couple days, so I sent an email to their support account directly on the 12th of November and never got a response.
On the 16th, two weeks after placing my order, I gave them a call. On the third try I get through to someone and tell them about my order and ask about an update. They say my order has been "picked" and will be "packed" this week. They offer an apology after I mention that it had been a while without any shipping update.
On the 19th, two and a half weeks after the initial order, I finally get a shipping notification. The "socks" arrived today, November 24th. I use quotation marks around "socks", because upon retrieving the package from my mailbox, I realize the package is small, much too small for 7 pairs of socks. In fact, there only appears to be one pair of socks in the package. Sure enough, I open it up and there is only one pair of socks. The "detailed packing list" included lists only one pair of socks for my order. It lists a "start ship date" of 11/03/20, and a "cancel date" of 11/15/20. I'm not sure what the "cancel date" is, though I should mention I never once asked for a cancellation on my order through email or phone, and the full charge is still on my card. I received just one tracking number for my whole order. The shipping email said ALL of my items have been shipped, and yet, I have one pair in my possession.
In the end, I've paid $75 for one pair of socks that took over three weeks to arrive. Now I'll have to contact their elusive customer service again and find out what the deal is, though I doubt I'll be able to get in contact with them this week (Thanksgiving). So even if this issue gets resolved, it will have been over a month from order date for my full order to arrive, and an insane amount of time spent trying to track it down. These are socks, this shouldn't be hard at all.
Honestly, I wouldn't recommend buying from Thorlo directly. Save yourself the hassle and buy from somewhere else. It's really a shame because the socks are quite comfortable, but this experience has turned me off of them for good.
