Hello, we arrived at our destination and waited 3 hours in a line where only 2 people were working in a very busy airport, but that's not my complaint, sometimes that is life.
My complaint is that we rented the vehicle, paid over $500 and didn't receive the vehicle we paid for, as well as the vehicle itself was just utterly filthy and disgusting.
I have pictures (i'm happy to share), but we were promised a new or decently new van that sat 8 people for the week of our trip. We were dropped off in front of an already running van, covered in dents (okay whatever), then we were told "to deal" with the condition of our vehicle. The inside was a biohazard. There was grime and goop all over the passenger windows. There was a baby bottle with curdled milk rolling around on the floor (the smell was horrific) and this milk had oozed out onto the floors of the van. The van only seated 7, not 8, so we had a passenger riding around without a restraint. And it gets better, there was actual nasal drainage (SNOT) smeared on several of the seats and baby vomit on the back of the passenger seats.
We asked for a new vehicle through the 3rd party rental site, they said contact Thrifty, I called everyday several times a day and no one returned my calls, we never received the vehicle we paid for even though I drove back to the airport and explained we needed an 8 seater, that we paid for, for safety and legal reason.
They told us no. Like what on earth are we supposed to do here.
Desired outcome: I want a refund for the absolute piece of garbage we paid for.
