I had purchased tickets to an event that was 4 hours away from my home. When I got to the event, it was canceled. NO notification was provided by ticketmaster. They say that they sent emails but could not provide proof. They refused to have me speak with management after asking several times. They could have notified me so I didn't pay for a hotel, gas and lose a day of pay from work.
Extremely unprofessional and cost me a great experience and money that they will not help with.

Sounds like they really dropped the ball on this one! It’s tough when you plan for a “great experience” and end up with a “great exasperation” instead. At least you didn’t drive four hours just to realize you accidentally bought tickets to a mime show!
It’s a shame they couldn’t even give you a heads-up and save you the hassle of wasted time, gas, and hotel expenses. Hopefully, they come to their senses and make things right for you soon.
