Invoice [protected] RAN RT 2012647
On the 26th April 2021 I was advised my refund had been approved and had been processed and it would take 7 days to show in my accounty refund had been approved and processed
I sent them a couple of emails and finally got a response on the 12th May stating there had been a problem but it was with finance team and would be processed in 7 days.
Once again no refund so I sent 2 more emails 19th & 20th May I wrote but no response.
On the 21st May I got a response saying it had to be refunded to my bank account and it would take 14 business days. So I sent them my bank account details as requested.
To date no refund and no replies to the 3 -4 emails I have sent them.
Desired outcome: A Refund as promised

Multiple contacts – the three items arrived just after xmas.
As for the outstanding item...
27 jan – "...being packed and dispatched directly from our supplier's warehouse.
In this instance, I have raised this issue with our supplier..."
The order screen now shows this part of the order was dispatched 14 Jan... but still not received

I have made a purchase for a clothes which costed me $75 AUD. I have made the purchase on 19/04/16. However, it states on the website that I will receive the product within 2-7 working days. I have not receive my item and to this day no update to the status of my item. I also sent an email to customer service and have not receive a reply since then although it has been stated that replies will take a maximum of 24 hours. How do I get a refund if I do not receive my item? It has been charged on my credit card through Pay-Pal.

Goods not Received or refunded
In March I purchased a Nokia Lumia 925 from Topbuy. It lasted on a few months and no longer functioned. At my cost and after contacting Topbuy, the phone was returned to be repaired. This was in September 2014. It is now March 2015, 6 months since I returned the Phone. I have phoned the company at least 10 times. Sent emails. No one has got back to me. The only email I received said they would look into the issue. Last week I phoned them, and said I would have to take this to court if they did not either fix and return the phone or refund the payment. I was told by the operator, that if I wanted to take this to court it was my problem. No one wants to do anything about the problem. The company will not return my calls. I will probably have to take this to court for $412.60 what a waste of time. Really poor company, I would never deal with them again.

I have changed the names and any other personal information but this is a direct transcript of my dealings with Topbuy Australia so far, I have acknowledged that in certain area’s they are very good and in others not so good, you be the judge.
The lens became faulty less than a week after I received it and I contacted the suppliers by phone on 23 July 2012 to ask them what to do.
I then emailed them on 24 July

I would have presumed that as it was less than a week old that you would have simply sent out a new lens. Dear Roger Purchasing the lens was easy and it arrived very promptly. Your company has this part of the transaction working very well. Returning the faulty product was also relatively easy and your company handled this well. Me as a customer of yours getting my money back or another new lens is not going so well. This has taken far too long and your company needs to address this part of the process. I am a very patient person and even I am starting to get a little annoyed at the time this has taken. I am not sure what to do next. I can’t spend any more time corresponding with your company as I have had enough If you choose to refund my money or give me a new lens it would be good, if you don’t I will just have to put it down to experience but I am annoyed at myself for trusting your company.

I was trialling your company to see if I could confidently buy camera gear from the internet as I intend to progress my photography to the next stage. I have had enough of you telling me that the problem will be resolved soon so if it is not resolved by Friday of this week I intend to take a three pronged approach. Firstly it has become evident that I can’t trust your online company to do as they say so I am going to post a running commentary of my dealing with your company on my website to warn others of the dangers of trading on line. Secondly I am also going to contact channel seven with my story to warn others of the dangers of on line trading. And thirdly I am going to contact fair trading and lodge a complaint. Roger, I am not upset at all the trouble your company has caused me; in fact it’s the opposite. I have learnt that buying camera equipment on line is a false economy. It has been a month since I contacted you and said the lens was faulty. Most other suppliers would have given me a refund or a new lens. Your company has decided to mess me around and tell me different stories each time you contact me. As previously stated I have posted my dealings with you online and have had two very prominent photographers comment and say that they appreciate my warnings. I know that their opinions are valued by thousands of photographers in Sydney. They have told me to Go to DD photographics . I can assure you that I will never deal with your company again and I will make sure that all in the photography world know what to expect if they deal with your company, so far only about 40 people have seen my message but I intend to post it on facebook and twitter. When I have done this then I intend to take legal action, I am in no hurry and will continue on my quest until justice has been done.

To be honest I have never experienced such poor service from any company I have dealt with. If I get my lense I will be very happy. WELL, three months after my ordeal started I have my lens back. Its the old one I sent back and after the first few shots its came up with an error message on my camera so I cant really trust it, I can just imagine taking a shot of something fantastic and oops up pops the error message and what ever It was I was shooting was gone.
I might put it on ebay as someone could hollow it out and make a coffee cup out of it.

I came across the lens again after moving back to my mums house. It made me really pissed off so I had to get rid of it. I spent another nine dollars and posted it back to topbuy. I doubt they will do anything as they are #@$%^&^%. I noticed that they had deleted my comment from their site. They only post what they want. Top buy sucks and I have to build a bridge and get over it.

Your report is consistent with the many reports that I have read on other review sites and on Topbuy's own facebook page. However, the one thing I do not understand is why Topbuy gets excellent reviews on Ebay. I used to trust Ebay customer reviews and ratings but now I am not so sure anymore.
TOPBUY is no longer "topbuy" it is now "GOODBYE" (to your money that is!) They may have started off on the right track but unfortunately now they have become greedy, dishonest and unreliable. The reports appearing all over the net are mainly very negative, and a lot of the posative ones are extremely dubious. It would seem DissapointedDoug you are just another victim of TOPBUY. I wish you luck in your mission but I do not like your chances. We can only hope an old asian belief known as Kharma really does exist !

Product not received.
I have made a purchase for a camera lens which costed me $750 AUD. To be fair, I have made the purchase on 11/12/10. However, it states on the website that I will receive the product within 2-7 working days. I am getting very anxious recently reading reviews of the company being a fraud. I have not receive my item and to this day no update to the status of my item. I have tried contacting them on the number displayed on the website: [protected], however it never gets through. No dialling tone. Constantly says :user busy". I also sent an email to customer service and have not receive a reply since then although it has been stated that replies will take a maximum of 24 hours. I am worried. How do I get a refund if I do not receive my item? It has been charged on my credit card through Pay-Pal.
