Cavity wall insulation
We had cavity wall insulation installed by your company on 1st March 2012.
Recently we have noticed a damp issue on our north facing wall most noticibly on this wall there are evidence of external cracks and internally the plaster is blown in several areas, on inspection by a builder it was noted that all the vents in this wall had been sealed, in his opinion the vents should have been left clear.
Desired outcome: Instillation removed and wall returned to satisfactory condition both internally and externally
loft and cavity insulation
Had both done in 2008.
Now got mold in most rooms.
Had a new roof and was told loft insulation was but up to the external wall and shouldnt cover the cavity.
Also cavity insulation was just sprayed in where they could get at the rear of the house. Conservatory was round the back and would have needed a scaffold.
I have found out since it is the wrong thing to do. Air pockets trap moisture etc.
It was a bodge job and now damaged my property
Desired outcome: Remove insulation/ do it correctlyResolve damp problem.Re insulate loft correctly
roof cavity insulation
I have the certificate Ross Miller - Installer Miller Pattison EAGA reference left blank. Fitted at 1187 Evesham Road on 10/11/12 (I think its had to read the numbers) and this is enclosed.
Part of my roof fell down and into my water this week. On investigation it was discovered that this was due to thick black mould that has been caused by condensation as a result of the fitting of the roof insulation by Miller Pattison. My roof cavity is rotting due to the insulation carried out by this company.
I am sure this must be under guarantee and needs rectifying as soon as possible. I have read much negative press now I have investigated the company and feel I need help to ensure this company rectifies the work. Surely they must know the products they used are now banned specifically because of this issue - why have they not contacted their customers to rectify the work?
Any help in getting this work redone would be appreciated. I enclose the certificate stapled on to one of the rafters in the loft. I look forward to hearing from you.
kind regards
Michele Campbell

cavity wall insulation
Miller Pattison carried out cavity wall insulation on our property as part of a government scheme in 2009. We never had any issues with damp before the installation but in the years since our home is becoming increasingly damp. I would be grateful if Miller Pattison could rectify this problem by removing the insulation

cavity wall instalation
After winning an arbitration claim ive had one excuse after the other to stop paying out.It was surpose to have it done in 1mth but 3 mts later. with them saying i dont need a survyer, the quotes are not right . hes on holiday . hes in a metting, just one excuse after another . Also letters off CIGA who Millior and Patterson sponcer and go to there conferances . Something is not right . They tried to make an appoitment to remove the cavity instalation that has collaped but then CIGA said once this is removed is not under guarantee any more so the award for rerendering is void . HOW devious . Problems with them still going on as phone calls and letters are being regected or the promist phone calls and letters never happen . Goverment really need to sort the problems with cavity wall instalation out.
cavity wall
had a visit this morning to re-do my cavity wall insulation, asked them to wait 5 mins while i sorted my kids out for school which didnt go down to well(constant door knocking).
When they did get access they were not happy about the plant growing on the side of my house(photo attached), while i appreciate they need space to work it does surprise me that they can't work around a plant, anything else could have been moved while they did the front of the house..oh and maybe advise them not to moan or swear about about a job while the customer can still hear them
speak to mr wright or mr leggitt who run this sig they really dont give a [censored] hands on experience
Miller Pattison installed CWI at my property and CIGA gave a 25 year guarantee. After a few years I noticed wet walls, damp and .mould growing I had also had to have new skirting boards as the original had rotted. I rang CIGA in Jan 2021 to report my concern, after several phone calls emails I received a reply to say this had been passed to Novora approx 350miles away. I asked why when there were local companies they told me when a company ceases trading GIGA will accept the new company which has the same directors provi
ded they agree to do any remedial work, so CIGA doesnt have to pay. This is appalling practice leaving the customer floating in mid air wondering how to proceed with their complaint. Miller went into administration and ceased trading. On the 1oth Aug 2021 The High Court ruled in favour of a claimant and have reinstated Miller Pattison so they are an active company. If you have any complaints regarding their work contact them or Novora who has the same Dirctor. And if that doesnt work contact Rogue Traders Good Morning Britain, to give them details, if they get enough comaintes they will investigate this diabolical mess these companies expect you to accept

cavity wall insulation
We have today received a letter off you ref H17 289. It states that you will following a survey extract the insulation as recommended by the surveyor. You do however state you will not be responible for associated costs such as redecorating or making good outside.
I have been in touch with CIVALLI who are supporting us in this claim who say we are entitled to have our property back in the same condition it was prior to insallation.
We will require remedial work and repinting on newly plastered walls in hall and kitchen.
Remedial work and repapering of dining room. Replsrering of two walls in living room and repainting.
Can you please confirm you will meet these costs and I will have estimates drawn up and passed on to you.
I gather the surveyor took lots of photos but I can forward new ones if needed.
I await your response
Regards
Mike and Karen Burton
Cavity wall insulation
Installed cavity wall insulation in my property. Damp spots started to appear on plaster. On reporting they sent a surveyor who inspected without looking in cavity and verbally suggested the damp problem was due to insulation. Miller Pattison phoned and confirmed will remove insulation following week. When tried to get something in writing they said it wasn't their fault and were just removing as a good will gesture. Postponed removal until Cega inspection, they confirmed wrongly installed. Chased Miller Pattison they confirmed on phone they would remove; explained that I needed in writing and answers to my questions. Nothing back and now having to cancel the second extraction and they won't come back to me.
service
I have found them useless from the survey to the installation. The surveyor (aged 12 may I add) turned up with some girl. His 'sales technique' was chatting me up. Honestly?! With the grant systems and the soring price of energy, I don't need a lot of convincing to get the wall cavity done.
They moved the loft insulation twice, costing me a day off every time and now I am waiting for customer service to contact me (?!) as they may not be able to cover it after all.
Crooks, lazy? God knows!
the surveys are paid per job they will tell you want you want to hear and promise you this and that and not even look at the job ( over the phone) roy naughty
I have been a house owner for over 30 years and found that this is probably the worst company I have ever employed (fortunately I did not pay money upfront). The Surveyor (all though not employed by Miller Pattison although she assured me she was provided the best service). The installation was cancelled because of access problems that they had already allowed a sum in the quote to cover. On appeal they offered to attend to review and but did not organise a date/time when I was in just viewed the work from a neighbours property. They do not return calls claiming they have lost the number although they did ring me when I wrote to the CEO of the SIG PLC group. Surprising that!. I did manage to get a £75 payment from them for wasted time, repairing the inspection hole they drilled etc. So do not give up and hopefully these rogues will mend their ways or go out of business. In the end I went to a local company and they did a brilliant job, nothing was a problem.
Hard selling
A salesman offered no ID and demanded to see the loft. When told it wasn't easily accessible he asked for household chair to stop. He also falsely claimed that he was offering grants which ran out that evening (it was already 6pm) and had to inspect straight away to qualify for the grant. This is total bunkum as I'd been investigating the grants with my energy supplier that week to discuss cavity wall insulation.
No contact had been made by the company prior to the visit and it was an inconvenient time close to my children's bed time.
His inspection discovered that we had hardly any insulation and it would cost £199 to insulate it WITH a grant. I installed the recommended insulation less than a year ago myself for a fraction of the price without a grant. This was placed on top of an existing layer of insulation.
Although my wife had called me to check the claims, the man was determined to inspect the loft and make a claim. I hardly believe that standing on another person's chair in a strangers house is remotely acceptable HSE policy for ANY contractor.
Strangely, during this call, he backed away relatively quickly and made his excuses and left very quickly wihtout leaving a quote.
I had been planning to call the company for cavity wall insulation quote, but after this hard selling and unethical cold calling they can wave goodbye to any business from me

If he offered no I.d how do you know he was a miller pattison salesman? he wasn't, they're all self employed, they sell generated jobs to the highest bidder ie miller pattison/Mark insulation/dyson etc. They manifest themselves as employees so they can lean on the reputation of the big firms to gain trust. No one would give them the time of day if they introduced themselves as self employed middle men.

Rockwool Loft Insulation additional £100 charge
An agent working on behalf of Miller Pattison knocked my door and sold me caviltiy wall insulation and loft insulation. I was informed that they were both fitted as rockwool as standard. Because of my allergies, I called Miller Pattison the following day to confirm that it would be rockwool and the person I spoke to at the Plymouth branch confirmed it would be rockwool. The day before the fitters were to come to fit my cavity wall, I rang again to confirm it would be rockwool and was informed it would be. When the fitters arrived they come with Knarff (fibre glass). It took some sorting out with a lady called Jackey at the Plymouth branch, but I was firm and said that I did not want it doing if it was the fibre glass and she tried to make me have the fibre glass. Jackey was quite ubrupt on the phone to me, which I made a complaint to their head office about, but explained that they needn't bother calling up the Manager at the Plymouth branch as Jackey was his wife. Then last week the same Jackey called me to say it was going to cost me an extra £100 to have rockwool loft insulation, as it was not standard for them to fit it and they had to order it in especially. Again she was quite shirtly and said that there was nothing I could do about it even though that was what I was sold as it did not say on the form rockwool. I have since cancelled my order with Miller Pattison and would never do business with them ever again. I thought that this should be logged on our web site for other people to see that if they was something specific with Miller Pattison, it must be written on the form in the first place and then they have to honour it.
Best Regards, Andrea Franks, Paignton

rockwool takes longer to install knauf a cheap and fast way to the job in 5 mins even when you pay extra for this. can you tell different unless the fitter does
Cavity Wall Insulation - NOT
If you've had a cavity wall filling done by this company, you might want them to come back and double check they did the work. They did the work just over a year ago, but due to a problem they came back and check with a camera and found that there was very little filling. When they re-did the filling and they used as much as a complete new cavity wall filling would take.
