I am extremely disappointed with the service I received as it resulted in avoidable damage to my vehicle
I am extremely disappointed with the service I received as it resulted in avoidable damage to my vehicle. The staff mishandled the multipoint location process, leading to unfortunate consequences.
I had a really disappointing experience with the service department at this dealership
I had a really disappointing experience with the service department at this dealership. My warranty was just weeks away from expiring, and yet they completely ignored and dismissed my concerns about my non-operable A/C. They insisted that all it needed was some Freon and claimed they couldn't find any leaks. They assured me that the A/C was working fine. However, when I drove to work with the air conditioner on, it was still not working properly. The blower was blowing, but there was no cold air. Frustrated, I reached out to the manager, hoping for a resolution. To my dismay, the manager told me that even if they didn't find a leak at the moment, there could still be one. This whole experience has left me extremely dissatisfied with their service. It's especially concerning considering my warranty is about to expire. I'm starting to question the honesty of this dealership.
I recently brought my RAV4 in for a routine oil change and a 10k maintenance check
I recently brought my RAV4 in for a routine oil change and a 10k maintenance check. They assured me that everything was in good condition. However, after driving the car, I noticed that something didn't feel right. At first, I attributed it to the recent oil change, but after a week, I started hearing strange noises while driving. Concerned, I took the car back to the service center, and they informed me that the issue was with my transmission and that I needed a new one, which would cost me $10,000.
I couldn't believe it. My car has only been driven for *** miles, and just a week ago, it was running perfectly fine. They had checked everything, including the transmission, and their report indicated that everything was in good working order. This is my second Toyota car, and my previous one lasted me a solid 10 years. I always thought that transmission checks were recommended for cars with over 70 or even *** miles. So, for my car to have such a major transmission problem at such low mileage makes me question whether I should consider buying another Toyota in the future.
I reached out to the dealer and Toyota care for assistance, but unfortunately, I didn't get anywhere. They informed me that since my car is already 6 years old, it is no longer covered by warranty, despite having less than *** miles. It's frustrating because I believe there is more to this story. I started to wonder if the service center made a mistake during the oil change. I discovered some information after taking my car to another mechanic for a second opinion, but the service center doesn't seem interested in hearing it. It turns out that when they check everything off on the inspection report, they don't actually perform a thorough inspection. They claim it's just a complimentary inspection, as stated on the receipt we sign.

On May 16, I leased a new Toyota Rav4 from Toyota of Naperville
On May 16, I leased a new Toyota Rav4 from Toyota of Naperville. My salesman, whose name I unfortunately cannot recall, assisted me with the transaction. At the time of the lease, the car had 29 miles on it. However, as of today, the car has accumulated over a significant number of miles.
What disappoints me is that on May 16, neither the salesman nor any other staff member at Toyota of Naperville, including those in the finance department, informed me that they had replaced the original tires and wheels of the Toyota Rav4 with used ones of a larger size that do not belong to the vehicle. Additionally, they failed to disclose that this change in tires and wheels would result in a higher price for the car. I only became aware of this alteration when I took the car for its first oil change at the service department of Toyota in Naperville, which occurred at a mileage of *** miles.
To my surprise, the service workers entered different information into their computer system, claiming that the tires were in good condition. However, given the car's mileage, it was evident that the tires were in poor shape and not suitable for safe driving. This discrepancy made me skeptical of their assessment and made me question whether they were trying to sell me new tires, which they claimed would cost $1,500. This suspicion was further reinforced during subsequent oil changes when the same situation occurred.
Due to my concerns, I decided to seek a second opinion from a different dealership regarding the tires. They confirmed that the tires on my car were not the original ones and reiterated that driving the vehicle in its current state posed significant hazards. This information aligned with my own experiences, as I had noticed the car sliding and spinning out during soft braking and hearing unusual noises during hard turns. These incidents were quite frightening, and I did not feel safe driving the car. It is disheartening to think that my health and life are at risk every time I get behind the wheel of this supposedly new and safe vehicle.
Unfortunately, I am still making payments for this car, but I am unable to use it in snowy weather due to its unsafe condition.
