I am in the process of getting quotes and evaluating having solar installed
I am in the process of getting quotes and evaluating having solar installed. I talked to *** who was helpful but Trinity requires a credit report to give me any information in regards to a quote. I would not give them permission because I couldn't see what forms they wanted me to sign. Also, I just had a credit report run a month prior but they wouldn't accept it even though it showed my credit rating was 850. I requested them to send me the form so I could read it first. When I go it, it required me to sign off on allowing them to use my information for anything for marketing as well as allowing any of their affiliates and non-affiliates to use it. I would not agree to sharing my information with all of these people. I would have no problem signing it if I decided to go with them but not just to get a quote. I also didn't like the fact that they want you to get a loan instead of paying cash or else warranties and such are not as good. Stay away from them unless they change their policies. They are not out to protect their customers just themselves.

Be very wary of what you told during the sales process
Be very wary of what you told during the sales process. Get numbers in writing. I was told that it was around $500-600 to have panels removed if repairs needed to be made. In reality it is $4,000. So ensure you get every number in writing. Now, why are repairs necessary? There was an issue with the install that caused damage to our living areas. This happened within 6 months of the install. Trinity would come out and promptly conclude it was not solar related. It was not until I escalated with SunRun, that another party was sent to reevaluate. Unsurprisingly, this SunRun partner found fault in the solar install. This finding was supported by two other parties that believed the issue was solar. So 3 parties agree that there was a fault in the install, and the only party that believes it is unrelated is Trinity. It was disappointing how far this had to go. I had held Trinity in high regard. I was wrong. In my experience they are focused on the sale. After that you no longer have the partner you thought you did. Be cautious before engaging with them. Get what matters to you in writing and in contract.

Fast, quick, but forgot to install what should have been at first (SNOW GUARDS!) Past four years NO ONE has come, or given me a work order, that anyone comes to my house to install (snow guards.) Other companies won't do it soooo Wires that get hit with BIG slid off chucks of snow are Doomed to pull out of the house, and WHO Pays? P.S. Other companies say they should have been put on at the time of installation! It's a must living in this regent, (east coast). What happened to mine? Won't stop or let up trying to get them.
Solar system installed by Trinity Solar in May under a lease agreement has issues
We had a solar system installed by Trinity Solar that was turned on in May through a lease agreement with a third-party company. The system initially functioned properly. However, in August , it ceased production. It took nearly three months for Trinity to replace the inverter. The system resumed operation for two months before failing again on January 5th. As of February 24th, it remains inoperative. I have repeatedly contacted both the third-party company and Trinity. The salesman had assured us of continuous monitoring and prompt service, even on holidays, which proved untrue. He also omitted the fact that the system would be non-operational for a significant amount of time. For over six months, I've been burdened with double electric bills—one to the third-party company and one to United Illuminating. Despite promises of a production guarantee and reimbursement for underproduction, the compensation does not match the higher rates charged by UI. I regret the decision to install this system and have advised my neighbors against using the services of the third-party company and Trinity, citing their dishonesty and incompetence.

Two years ago Trinity Solar came to my home to discuss solar panels. During our consultation we asked if we needed to have our roof replaced what it would cost us. To have the panels taken and put back following roof replacement. The sales rep quoted us $500, not once, but at least a dozen times.Unfortunately we had some damage from wind and rain storms. I had a roofer come to the house for an estimate. I then contacted Trinity to get the ball rolling. The gentleman I spoke with said they would never do it for $500, that it would cost us $5,186.25. SERIOUSLY? Ive tried to reason with Trinity to no avail. I wouldnt recommend this company to anyone. Im lodging this complaint and low rating so other consumers will get a heads up.I mentioned this to another solar company employee and was told this other company quotes $400. Im disgusted and disappointed with Trinity. Im next going to the Attorney General of , and *** Consumer Protection Agency.I need my roof replaced ASAP.
Disrespectful and annoying at best. Multiple Trinity agents have been soliciting and I have asked each and every one not to come by and there wss no interest. It clearly can't be respected, the last two ***, was smug and found amusement in the fact I was so irritated. When asked for supervisor information he could not provide any- why would a field staff have no information with them and 'only my cell phone' and wouldn't give a contact number to his supervisor.
at Trinity was very responsive when I had questions about my eight-year-old installation. My technical questions were answered professionally and on a timely basis. The system has performed perfectly and as expected.
Besides using Lower quality panels when compared with RecAlpha or *** , their customer service and scheduling is Abysmal. I had scheduled 2 consultation visits and 30 minutes before each appointment the sales man cancelled. Ended up going with a more professional company that can keep appointments
Trinity solar is the worse solar company!
Trinity solar is the worse solar company.! We were told from our salesperson that they go off of the highest electric *** within a 12-month period, and that would determine the number of panels we would receive. We told our salesperson that we were putting an above ground pool in within 2 months of our initial meeting with her. We voiced our concerns that she should definitely factor in the pools filter when she is determining the amount of solar. She came back with 16 panels. I will add that we were leasing them at a price of $79.00 a month. My husband and I told her that we didn't think that would be enough since both our neighbors have solar and had like 30 panels. She assured us that the 16 panel would be more than enough. A year later we have electric bills over a $100. When we called the electric company, we were told whatever your solar doesn't produce gets kicked back to your electric ***. So now we pay solar $79.00 and the electric company $100. UMM? To me this shouldn't really be with solar when everyone else I talk to only pays their electric company the customer charge of maybe $5-$7. I have nothing else electric in my house other than my central air and the pool filter. When we called the solar company, we keep getting the run around! Wish I never got solar from Trinity. Stay away and go with another company!

I regret installing solar panels with trinity solar. They are deceiving and unorganized. From the very beginning the salesman who came to my house painted a beautiful picture for me to get me to go through with the project. I realized I had made a mistake by going with them and tried to cancel 3 months prior to the start of the project and I hadnt signed anything yet to finalize it. When I called to cancel the process I had to tell the salesman numerous times for over half an hour that I didnt want them anymore and he did not want to cancel it and tried so hard again to keep the project going by telling more lies and finding loopholes to my concerns. I get a call 2 months later after the installation is done telling me I need to have a final inspection with the town to close out my permit, they also told me that if I had a pool without a permit that I would get fined by the town, well turns out bought my house with the pool already installed and no permit for it which I knew but trinity never let me know this may be an issue when the town comes, I mean they could clearly see the pool in my backyard when they did their walkthrough why wasnt one of the questions then does your pool have a permit and not until after the installation is done. I wouldve canceled on the spot if I knew the pool was going to be an issue, maybe they hid that also because they think I would have canceled, they schedule it for me and come the day of inspection and the inspection doesnt show up, I call the towns office myself to find out whats going on and Im told by the town that the date was never confirmed and no inspector was going to show up. There was no communication with me from trinity to let me know of such issue. I dont even get an apology from trinity and instead I get told by trinity theres nothing they can do and well just have to reschedule. Now all I can think off is the future problems I may run into because of everything trinity hides when pitching a sale.
Will never recommend or refer these people to anyone I had a huge problem the day the solar panels were put installed. They had left everything on and running outside and the old meter had not been replaced yet and it recorded solar production and usage so when I got an invoice from national grid it was through the roof, if not three times higher than my average per month. after countless phone calls back-and-forth problem was NOT resolved. after speaking with a solar executive at National grid they said those solar panels should not have been left on and from what they can see looks like it was recording solar production which Trinity denies.
Scheduled an appointment for 12:30 to evaluate my house for solar panels. Got a confirmation phone call at 9 AM and so many text confirmations after that I had to opt out of their texts. At 1 PM I called Trinity solar back to see why their agent wasn't here yet. I was informed that they only do virtual appointments in my area! That's the first I've heard of that! Trinity Solar does not have their act together and will not be receiving my business.
I would NEVER recommend trinity solar to anyone
I would NEVER recommend trinity solar to anyone. When i got my system installed, they told me they couldnt put any panels to the right side of my house due to my neighbors tree being to big. I was told if i convince her to cut it or if i offer to cut it, i could get add on panels to improve my systems performance. Time went on and my neighbor brought up the idea of cutting it. I ended up chipping it to have it cut i figured it would cost me now but id save money later (by now longer having a bill from eversource) well i called trinity back and was told that in CT they no longer offer add on panels. So basically the money i spent on my neighbor's tree i wasted. As if this wasnt bad enough...I got the tesla batteries. The trinity rep told me you can sell your energy back to eversource for a credit which offsets the cost of them and when you need the energy you keep/use it. Well, every night when i go to bed my batterys are at 0% because my solar panels dont even produce enough energy to cover my everyday electricity. So far my panels produced 61% of my electricity usage in may, 59% of my usage in june, 51% of my usage in july, 38% of my usage in august, 36% of my usage in september, and a whopping 30% of my usage in october. Since getting solar with trinity, i now pay over $100 more a month than before i went solar. I would NEVER recommend this to anyone, ever.

Trinity and sunova have the worst customer service
Trinity and sunova have the worst customer service. I had *** panels installed over two years ago notice spot of water on my ceiling last year, and called my homeowners insurance and the adjuster tells me that my roof is leaking due to damages in my roof for roof installation. I call trinity solar and they give me the run around I have put a new roof on my home due to the leak in order for me to fix my roof I have to remove panels which is an emergency for me to fix it, my insurance will not reinstate me unless I get it fixed and pretty sure am not the only one going through this, this company gets all the funds from the states and makes homeowners pay for any work they need to perform in there home trinity wants me to pay almost *** dollars for the removal and installation of the solar panels after they damage my roof. Perhaps customer are not getting the right information from these sales reps that anything thats has to be done in terms of repairs customer are responsible for paying the *** company for anything they want to get done. Shame on you, and will never recommend this company to any of my friends and family. This should of been taken care of as an emergency repair due to you company wrong doing am not asking for monetary compensation I just needs theses panels to be removed and I can fix the leak that your company cost my home.

My experience with Trinity Solar has been mostly positive
My experience with Trinity Solar has been mostly positive. I rate 4 stars due to a few technical issues with my install and Inverters that took a little longer than it should have to resolve. However, they have been resolved to my complete satisfaction. As, with any Contractor, Solar or other; there are always delays and most customers who have dealt with 3rd party Contractors should understand this. The weather cannot be predicted and can/will negatively impact schedules. Contractors need to clearly articulate this to their customers up front to set expectations. Also, estimations on job size and time are sometimes incorrect and this too should be explained to the Customer up front. I did run into this during my install and was delayed due to the team being sent to another jobsite to being work there before finishing my site work. I wrote Trinity on this and they did take my feedback positively. I hope some changes were made so Customers are clear that sometimes delays on existing jobs and weather can impact their start date.Dealing with Trinity's *** has been just fantastic. They follow up internally as they have promised and delivered on the recommendations. They stayed in continuous engagement and communication through remediation of any of the issues I reported. THANK YOU for your Outstanding Customer Support!I truly hope future *** Customers experience the same level of service and understanding as I have.

On Aug 19, 2022, I met with a salesperson from Trinity Solar to discuss a project
On Aug 19, 2022, I met with a salesperson from Trinity Solar. We discussed solar panels, priced out the project, and agreed to move forward. It was agreed that I would remove 9 trees at my cost, which reduced the project price. I had the trees removed for $3,500.00. Around September 1, 2022, I received an email from Sunnova, the finance company, stating the contract was canceled. I contacted the salesperson who mentioned the cancellation was due to the absence of a 'Trust' copy, which was not previously considered an issue. On September 6, I met with the salesperson, having documents from Sunnova, including a signed service agreement and auto-pay setup. On September 10, I got a letter from Trinity Solar confirming paperwork processing and an installation date of December 6. However, on October 4, I received another cancellation letter without a given reason. I reached out to the salesperson and received no response. On September 24, I emailed the salesperson for an explanation but still got no reply. I believe Trinity Solar should cover the tree removal cost and their lack of communication is highly unprofessional.

I highly recommend Trinity Solar!
I highly recommend Trinity Solar! After working with another company that ran into financial problems after working with them for many months I looked around for a company that had breadth of experience and a reputation for integrity and care for its customers. I was not disappointed. Trinity's salesman is one of the most positive, cheerful, and proactive guy's I've dealt with. His back office staff navigated the (to me) arcane and frustrating world of working with the utility company to get approvals for *** and installation as promised within 3 months to ensure I would get the *** break I was counting on in that calendar year. When I discovered a leak in the roof I thought was good a week and a half before installation my salesman came up with a roofer ***-shingled just in time to keep the solar install on track. As the paperwork maze came down the homestretch I have to thank my inspection team contact who was so helpful and responsive as I had questions about status and my role in keeping install and system authorization to operate on track. She was ***! *** was quick and professional - great team that accommodated my aesthetic wishes and did a beautiful install. Finally there was an issue (isn't there always!) that needed resolution that couldn't be resolved at the working level. That's when it was raised to *** Director *** who called me personally and took the time to listen to the complex issue I described. His resolution to my issue reinforced again Trinity's integrity and care for its customers. I am truly thankful for Trinity! "
The TECHNICIAN URINATED in MY BACKYARD
The TECHNICIAN URINATED in MY BACKYARD. A technician was waiting for me to answer the doorbell to inspect my roof, but when I took 2 minutes to answer the door he decided to go into my backyard and urinate. I caught him because when I was about to answer the door I saw him starting to walk through my driveway into my backyard, so i figured i would meet him in the backyard by going back through my house through my backdoor. He was hiding the front of himself in my bushes as he was urinating on them. When i opened the door at 1st I did not realize what he was doing as was pretending to look up at the house when i opened the door. As he was urininating he was asking me questions and we had a 2 minute conversation while he was urinating on my property. At 1st the questions he asked were relevant, but I started to get suspicious when he was asking me random questions like , "Do you have any kids?" I could tell he was stalling. So I made sure to watch him when he finally walked away i noticed his pants were open so I walked over to where he was and saw a puddle there. So I asked him did you just pee? And he said yes and apologized saying that he had to go really badly and I was taking long to answer the door, which wasn't really that long. I politely asked him to leave and he did. I then called the company and asked to speak to a manaager told them what happened and they apologized and said to send an email. Twice they said soemone from management would reach out to me BUT NO ONE REACHED OUT TO ME FROM MANAGEMENT. The only time management and i spoke was when the incident initially happened. The only person to call me afterwards was the salesmen. It's been a month now and I still haven't heard from anyone in management. Really terrible.

My husband and I had recently converted a 3 season porch into all year round liveable space, added insulation and electric heat, after getting our first late fall electric bill we knew we needed to do something about the electric bill issue. So we reached out to the National Grid solar program and were set up with a sales person from Trinity Solar. They came out to access our usage, check out the roof and sun situation and draw up a plan. I emphasized that the bill was only going to get higher as the winter went on. When he came back with the plan I noticed that he didn't use all the available space that they could have and he said we wouldn't need that many panels. Instead of having a written out estimate he used a scratch pad. He never once mentioned that the panels were being financed based on the power that they generated, he indicated that all the extra fees that they show on the bill will not be charged and if I go with auto pay there is no service charge. So every month I get a bill from this "finance" company and that amount gets subtracted from my National Grid bill. If we make more energy than we use, we will see a credit from NG and then if we use more than we make we get a bill for the difference from NG and those extra fees are included on the additional usage (he neglected to tell us that part). So today I get a bill from the finance company with only a partial credit for the service fee and was advised that for using a credit card they don't give a full credit. Just another undisclosed piece of information not provided. After my 2nd month I called Trinity to see if they would come back to add more panels because clearly it's not pulling enough power to help off set the winter months (The solar was turned on June 3rd and we only generated enough power to have a credit for 1 month) There response was no. I feel that they are using very deceptive practices. I am very aggregated and disgusted by the experience.

August 16 To the complaintsboard.com Trinity Solar company has been responsible for my loss of $4,500 by their negligence and irresponsible actions.Trinity Solar installed my solar panels in 2016 on my property 400 yards away from my house. This past July, I was informed that my panels were not recording and had to be serviced. At that time, I asked the service people if I had lost all my record of produced electricity, and I was told that all my production was stored up at the panels. When they reconnected my panels, all that information would be applied to my account.None of that was true.Upon further research, I discovered that my panels had been disconnected since last November . I estimated that my financial loss totaled $4,500. I arrived at this amount by averaging the production for each day that was not recorded (nine months) and adding in my loss in my SREC account for three quarters, amounting to $1,500.Since July 18, I have had ongoing contact with many different agents that work for Trinity Solar, and numerous times I have been put on hold, left with no one on the phone, etc. Besides the copious number of emails, I have had with more agents who work for this company. Trinity solar knew in July that my system was malfunctioning, which means that they had the equipment to monitor my panels. Therefore they were remiss in not notifying me in July this problem and immediately correcting my faulty system.I also asked if they could alert me via email when my system was not producing. I was consistently told that this could be done until at least thirty phone calls; I connected with someone who said, sure we can, and said he had done so. But do I know it was done? And how would I know this for a fact with this company? The Trinity staff list that I had emailed were ***, ***, and ***. The last email was with ***, who said I would have a session with a ***. My final repose to that email was *** who can you tell me his last name and his extension number? My request was never answered. I notified this person that I would be forwarding a complaint to the Complaintsboard.com and filing a complaint with my local Small Claims Court, which I did on 8/11.I would like to believe that someone in that company has a sense of responsibility and would respond to both this letter and my filing a small claims complaint

Have had an outstanding work order out for since December with no resolution. Have called several times and it been told it has been passed to the supervisor but still no resolution. On some of the calls have been told to call Sunova for the resolution and then have been bounced back by Sunova to Trinity.
Was given a price of $750 if ever needed solar panels removed when getting a new roof put on home, now Im told the price is over $5k! Would never have had panels put on knowing I needed a new roof in a few years.
My solar was turned on in January . It has not been working since July 2022 and Trinity has had the work order since July 8, 2022. After numerous calls and complaints they have no idea when it will be fixed. I am now paying an electric bill and a mortgage on solar that has not been working for over 2 months and they dont know when it will be fixed. My electric bills the last 2 months were over $1,000.00. Please help.
I purchased my new home on 10/29 and had the solar panels/system passed down to me
I purchased my new home on 10/29 and had the solar panels/system passed down to me. The solar system in the house is not communicating with *** electric; therefore, I am not getting any credits. I called ***; they sent someone on two different occasions to make sure that everything was working correctly on their part. But after every visit, they tell me the same thing, which is "the solar system is not communicating with ***." However, every time I reach out to Trinity (IGS), they continue to give me the run-around. I requested that they send someone out to verify that everything is working correctly and that the solar system is communicating with the ***, but they simply refuse to. When the issue was escalated, I made contact with a manager named ***. Not only was she rude, but she was condescending. She advised that they would charge $250 to have someone come out to check my system. She refused to help in any way. Can you please help? I'm a new homeowner, and I would greatly appreciate some assistance in sorting this out as soon as possible.Thank you

I was offered a quote, and part of that process was to have my photo taken on their company tablet device. There was information stored about me, personal data, that I would like to be removed from their company data base completely. Bio metrics, photos, contact information - any and all information about me or my family completely removed.I requested this 3 times, with no success. After the second time, I was told it would be taken care of. Today, 4/14/22, I called the corporate office to see if it had been done, and it was not. I am still in their system. There is no one at that company to speak with who can ensure this would happen.I am not a lawyer, so I don't know the proper procedure to ensure or enforce this request. It is also unfortunate that I can't take their word, they said it would be removed, but it wasn't. Do I need to have a lawyer make an office request, or is that futile? What options do I have as a private citizen to go up against such a large corporation like this? I am just not equiped to handle such a monumental task. Please help me!Thank you
I have no trespassing signs on my property. I told the sales agent to get off my property since he was trespassing and he told me he didn't have to since he had a solicitors permit. I do not want any of their salespeople on my property ever again.
My husband and I agreed to get solar panels by this company in December or November and the work didn't actually start until April
My husband and I agreed to get solar panels by this company in December or November and the work didn't actually start until April and with COVID-19, we understood. Then came multiple inspections from which we were told that we would need to wait 3-4 weeks to have our city electrician to give the final approval. After months of not hearing back, I called and asked that they remove the panels since nothing had been turned on and we were still paying an expensive electricity bill during this time. After being put into contact with Mike P... we were fast tracked in a mater of days and got our solar panels turned on. Mike asked that we send our last 3-4 monthly bills of electricity and they would reimburse us the difference of what our bills should have been if the solar panels were turned on. We sent the bills and kept sending them while waiting for the solar to be fully turned on and today I received a text from Mike Passantino that we would be receiving a check for $150 which is what they deem to be a fair amount. for 2-3 months, our electricity was at least $200- $300+ and we were estimated to pay about $78 a month for our solar. Mike has not answered mine nor my husband's call or texts since
Hi there hoping you can help out and make sure something like this experience does not happen to another person. On 2/26/22 we invited trinity solar our to my home. My father and I sat through his entire presentation and were on the fence about hearing more from him and getting his "free no obligation quote" we ended up agreeing to his quote and sent him on his way after he looked at my house and my fathers house. After he was gone i checked my email and low and behold was a DocuSign document with a credit check application all completed in my name. The man never talked about running a credit check nor did he ask for permission to run a credit check. It gets worse though. I look through the document and he forged my name and signature at the bottom that does not match any of my signatures. I am simply filling out this complain as he bragged about being the best on the complaintsboard.com but then goes ahead and forges someone's signature to run a credit check. That's no behavior i expect from a top company. The man that came out to my house was named *** i believe.

Installed in 2018. The original representative informed us that a flat fee of $500 would be charged for the removal and reinstallation of the system if we needed to replace the roof. This was a key factor in our decision to go solar, as the roof was already over 15 years old at the time, and we anticipated selling the house within the next decade. Currently, we are processing a repair claim through insurance, and upon requesting a quote, I was shocked to find it would cost $6400. Additionally, I learned that we would require a voucher for a flat fee, the least expensive being $1500, which the representative had failed to mention. She had presented the $500 fee as a standard cost to us, the homeowners, with no indication that it was subject to negotiation. A recent communication addressed to my partner implied that I was 'OK with a 9/29 quote.' This is not the case. I am now in a position where I must present this quote to the insurance company, who would be responsible for covering it. However, the principle at stake is the discrepancy between the initial quote we were given and the actual potential cost, which was a decisive factor in our choice to install solar panels. Had we been aware of these real costs, our decision might have been different. This grievance was originally filed under complaint number omitted.
Trinity solar sold me solar panels and promised me reduced electric bills. However, I am not generating enough energy to cover my monthly payment of $44.00. Despite trimming back trees, I keep encountering excuses and delays.
Other companies refused to install the solar panels on the back of my house as I desired. Trinity agreed to do so, assuring me that everything would work out fine. Unfortunately, they were not truthful. Three other companies had indicated that a tree at the back of my house needed to be removed. Trinity insisted it wouldn't be an issue, but that wasn't the case. They have also failed to demonstrate any reduction in my electricity bills, as there has been no noticeable decrease.
I have had the solar installed and haven't seen any savings the salesperson said I would. I was promised zero PSEGLI electric usage and that the only expense I would have is the solar panel system. The unit doesn't save anything. Total waste of money. Another issue I am having is the permit hasn't been closed out by the installer. I am getting letters from the Brookhaven permit department and am worried now that this will become another unnecessary expense. I have called three times in the past two months with no response. The last call I was directed to leave a message, AGAIN, and the system hung up on me. I believe it's time for legal action. I was excited about the solar installation and the savings it would bring but am disappointed with the misdirection and the being ignored.

When I purchased solar from Trinity Solar I was given the impression that under the agreement I would not pay more through the 25 years and we would be able to keep the panels. After looking at the agreement it says after 5 years are interest rate goes up every year and that we would not be able to keep the panels after the 25 years. It seems like the 25 years we are just buying the power and not the panels and we have to pay more every year for the next 25 years. We felt pressured to do this by company showing up at our house unannounced multiple times. When we contacted customer service they said that they would dispute the contract but they could not guarantee it and they would not give me a timeframe to hear back from someone. They said that there was nothing was going to happen because we were in a 25 year contract. We were not able to read the contract in full because they kept rushing us to sign the agreement because it took us about 2 years to make the decision. Once we finally agreed they were rushing us to sign the agreement to get solar installed. I feel like they are pushy and just tell you what you want to hear but then give you a contract that is something else. The man who we first met also told us that our roof would not be damaged but then when I called and asked about removing the panels they told me that the roof would be damaged. They tell you one thing and then sign you up for another.
I recently built a high efficiency home and in doing so, I had solar installed on my roof
I recently built a high efficiency home and in doing so, I had solar installed on my roof. Since January, my solar has been producing power. I recently found out in May through National Grid that the system was never properly vetted on the part of Trinity Solar, so National Grid won't acknowledge its existence until this is done. This was all triggered by some very large electric bills that didn't line up with previous months. Apparently the meter that was installed by National Grid was adding KWh to my *** instead of doing the reverse and crediting me for having solar. Since then, I've gone around in circles for two months trying to get this resolved. National Grid is saying I have to have Trinity file the proper paperwork, while Trinity is telling me that can't give me any information due to privacy issues even though I own the home. *** holds the lease to my panels and Trinity was the installer of the physical system. I'm at a stalemate with Trinity. National Grid is trying to assist with getting this resolved, but needs me to contact Trinity directly. Trinity will not assist in any way to help me resolve this issue. I don't know what else to do anymore. I was instructed by National Grid to shut off my system due to them never receiving the proper engineering for it. This is where I'm currently at, a solar system that isn't working, an installation company of said solar that won't assist in anyway, and a leasing company that continues to charge me every month. Thank you

Salesman for trinity solar had me sign an ipad saying it was to survey my property and if ok to begin install solar panels
Salesman for trinity solar had me sign an ipad saying it was to survey my property and if ok to begin install solar panels. I signed the ipad. After the 1 year of usage i found no savings and actualy was paying more than i was paying for then i was paying without solar. I went to thier company hdqs to complain I was told that i signed a contract . I said i never signed any contracts rep went and brought a contract to show me, Turns out the sales person used the ipad to put my signature on the contract stating i had reviewed the contract and agreed to its content. I later found out that the contract was supposed to have been emailed to me to revue. I called trinity and the financer sunnova and i was told they have no record of an email being sent to me. I read that i had 7 days to revue the contract to decide the deal. I never had that oppertunity Upon reading the contract i had reservations to ok the deal. The sales person lied to me about how i would save money and recieve two to three hundred dollars at the end of each year due to my power usage. I have not recieved one *** to date. The sales person never mentioned the word contract while at my home. I feel trinity violated the contract and it should be nullified and i should be refunded my payments and any payments such as me paying off the ppa agreement as i plan to do. A ucc finding was placed on my home due to my applying for a Equity line of credit to pay off the amount owed on the ppa agreement. I have been cheated and lied to and demand retrobution.

Back in February I reported an issue I had noticed that one particular panel wasn't producing energy since the last quarter of 2019
Back in February I reported an issue I had noticed that one particular panel wasn't producing energy since the last quarter of 2019. After a back and forth between Trinity Solar & Sunnova company, Trinity Solar honored my warranty and sent a technician to come and change the faulty panel. They changed the panel early March and assured me with this change, the new panel capturing electricity would kick in shortly. I noticed several times I checked in March it still wasn't producing, checked with Trinity a few times and was reassured this was normal. Went back to check on the app for my solar production in April and noticed that ALL of March (from March 4 - 31) and a good part of April (1-21) none of my panels were producing energy (which resulted in two full electricity bill PLUS my two solar payments). I called customer service again and they came to check on my system. The technician who came that second time concluded the system had been turned off when they came to do panel replacement and never turned back on. I've been asking this business since end of April to please cover my electricity bills for March and April for their negligence. It is now June 30, and every week I've been told my case has been escalated to the regional supervisor for approval and it is still being reviewed. I don't think this is a difficult decision, and I don't think it should take over two months to resolve. The customer service concierge in the Maryland office has been nothing but nice, but I can't stand by, especially during a pandemic.

We had solar panels installed on our house in March by Trinity Solar
We had solar panels installed on our house in March by Trinity Solar. We have a 25 year lease with them. The solar panels are south facing and get high exposure to the sun. We have a glass sunroom below that runs the length of the house. We live in *** and get a lot of snow and ice during the winter. When the snow and/or ice thaws off the panels, we get large heavy sheets of snow and ice crashing down on our sunroom. Which sometimes causes our whole house to shake. We didnt have this problem before the solar panels were installed. We feel this is a safety issue and also is causing damage to our gutter and sunroom. The sliding snow is ripping off our gutter and our sunroom now has several leaks from the snow and ice landing on it.I reached out to Trinity Solar for the first time on September 17 and told them of our problem and that we felt that their engineers should have installed snow guards. They referred us to *** Their *** told me they do not typically install snow guards and would not pay to install them. Also they would not fix any damage caused from the snow and ice coming down, because they cannot control the weather. They did say they would give us a quote to install the snow guards. As of today, November 3 we still havent received one.We would like Trinity or Sunnova to provide and install snow guards and replace the gutter under the panels at their cost. We also feel they are responsible for the water leaks in the sunroom. We would like this rectified before Winter.

I signed a contract in December with Trinity Solar to install solar panels on my roof
I signed a contract in December with Trinity Solar to install solar panels on my roof. Not only did they damage my roof, I recently discovered their sales representative, Bryce E, only submitted 7 out of 12 months of electric bills to estimate my electricity usage needs. The biggest issue is that I was promised electric bills of approximately $15 per month, However, I have electricity bills in the summer as high as $450 per month in addition to paying $152 in rental fees. I have complained to them numerous times; and although they offered to replace materials for the roof damage, they wanted me to sign a waiver absolving them of all responsibility, of which I am suspect. There were also problems involving a tree, (resolved) and problems with getting the system up and running. These were not the main problems. They have refused to address the issue of the exorbitant monthly electric bills. They did not give me the proper amount of panels and they gave me the cheap panels that do not produce enough electricity. I am over 70 years old and on a fixed income and these bills are destroying me. I believe they cut corners on my needs because they did not submit the permits and paperwork on time so they were not able to collect the solar rebates from the government. I believe they have penalized me for their incompetence. I am stuck with horrific electric bills in addition to the solar panels rental fees. I have complained numerous times to them and to the solar energy company to no avail. Please help me solve this as it has been going on since 2015 when I signed the contract. I am desperate. I am going to be forced to sell my house because of the very high electric bills.

Trinity collaborates with a service provider for system maintenance
Trinity collaborates with a service provider responsible for maintaining a communication portal essential for my solar system's functionality. Despite Trinity's responsibility for its upkeep, the system has experienced numerous hardware and software failures. Over the past year, three different parts have been replaced and multiple software updates have been applied, yet the system remains dysfunctional. Trinity has pledged to escalate the issue and offer compensation, but after over five months, there has been no change, and I have not received the promised compensation. My attempts to resolve the issue with Trinity and the service provider have been fruitless. I suspect I was sold a defective system, and accountability is lacking. Despite being under warranty, the system's persistent issues render the warranty meaningless. The company's customer service is appalling, with weeks passing without communication. They advise me to disregard the issue, yet no progress is made. In contrast, direct communication with the service provider yields quicker resolutions, suggesting Trinity may not be actively seeking assistance from them. They claim my situation is unique and do not experience these issues with other customers, which implies a lack of knowledge in resolving these 'rare issues.' I feel like a test subject for these problems. It's a distressing situation, and I urgently need assistance.
In July , Trinity Solar installed a solar system on my property's roof.
In July, I had Trinity Solar install a solar system on my property's rooftop at a cost of over $16,000.00, paid in full. The system went online with the net meter in October . Despite my efforts to contact my electric service provider for a year, I did not receive any billing updates. In October , I was billed for over $1000.00 by National Grid, my electricity provider, for a year's worth of service. It was discovered that my solar panels had not generated any electricity during that time. After many attempts to contact Trinity, they sent a technician in November . Since then, I've received several updates indicating no electricity generation. I've repeatedly tried to contact my salesperson, Hung, and sent emails to Trinity without any response. I'm considering legal action as I want the system removed and a full refund. Before installation, I had my roof re-shingled for the new system. My salesman promised a $1400 rebate after system completion, which I never received despite submitting the required information. I feel completely deceived by Trinity, especially since this is the second system they've installed for me. Their negligence is baffling, given my patience during the pandemic.

Trinity Solar sold us a solar panel system in early 2020
Trinity Solar sold us a solar panel system in early 2020. After 1 month of service in May the system stopped producing the projected amount of energy. We reported this issue to *** (financing partner of Trinity) who monitors our system remotely. After reporting the problem 3 times we were told we needed to contact Trinity for a repair. After 2 additional contacts to Trinity (7-8 weeks after the initial report), Trinity finally sent a technician to look at the system. The part needed was going to take an additional 2 weeks to order. Once installed the system still was not producing desired amount so Trinity had to send another technician. After 3 months (June, July & August) they confirmed the system was finally working as expected and we again began producing the anticipated amount of energy. During this time, not only did we miss the highest production opportunity for a solar panel system in *** (longest days of sunlight in the summer months) we were billed from *** for the energy we had to consume from them due to our system not producing enough. We were also billed the full amount from ***/Trinity even though our system didn't perform and they did not respond to our reports of a problem. We should have spent $768.69 in charges to *** during htis period. Instead the toal between *** & *** was $1,690. Now we are battling to get reimbursement for the overcharges to no avail. Customer service at both organizations has been awful, no follow through and now I'm looking at waiting a year for them to reevaluate their "guaranteed production" and make an adjustment to our monthly charge. Both point the finger at each other and could care less about the customer or the fact that they "sold" us on a much different experience. In the meantime I'm out of pocket almost $1,000 during a pandemic and they could care less.

Unfortunately, I did not do my homework before moving forward with this company
Unfortunately, I did not do my homework before moving forward with this company. In April an individual knocked on our door to set up a consultation, which we had soon after to discuss getting solar panels. During discussion with the representative, my husband and I asked questions concerning the roof as it was over 13 years old and we knew it would require fixing sooner than later (during inspection 3 years prior we had been told it had 'probably 10 years left' at most). We were not in a rush to get solar panels due to this but were assured the following: there would be NO COST to *** of the solar panels if the roof needed to be replaced, short of "going up there and taking a *** to it" we would not be liable for damages to the panels, and we were "covered for 25 years", and we could get rid of the panels anytime we wanted. We confirmed more than once that R&R of the panels would not cost us anything as it otherwise would not make financial sense for us to put up the panels. The panels were installed in July-ish and we began to receive bills from Sunnova (the owners of the panels) in August.Fast forward to November when consultation with a roofer uncovered some disturbing conditions on the roof that require a redo. Called Trinity to schedule R&R and was told it was $3,500 for the service. When I expressed that I had been told it would be free, the individual reached out to the salesman that we spoke to, who denied ever saying that to me. When I asked price to only remove I was told that was not an option. I decided to call Sunnova to confirm the 25 years, damages from natural causes, and if I could remove. I was told I was LOCKED IN for 25 years, damages were not covered, and given a price of $20K to pay off after 5 years have passed. My research on complaints shows these tactics do not appear to be an anomaly. Disappointed in myself for getting locked into this 25-year problem. I would like R&R completed without cost as promised.
