Through this company, I paid off a debt that I had
Through this company, I paid off a debt that I had. Afterwards, I contacted them to find out how long it would take them to report to the credit bureaus that the account was paid off, cause according to some reviews, it might take them months or perhaps they will not report to the credit bureaus at all that the account was paid off. Their agent told me flat out that they "DO NOT REPORT TO THE CREDIT BUREAUS"... So if you have a debt that needs paid off, do not pay through them. Contact the original debt collector of your account.

I went through a rough patch financially a few years ago, and I had to try to manage several delinquent accounts like the one True Accord is handling for Merrick Bank with me. I wish everyone used True Accord. Without having to make numerous voice calls or be demeaned and bullied to make larger payments, True Accord arranged a manageable repayment plan online and handles the monthly payments and notices professionally and accurately. Now that I am nearing my final payment, I can only say positive things about my experience with True Accord.

Fair and respectful communication from a debt collector is rarely seen and is basically unheard of. Thank you for creating this platform that allows for open communication between debtors and creditors any time of the day or night. As a 2- time Covid survivor it's been very difficult to manage even the simplest of conversations so I personally appreciated the fact that I didn't have to get annoying calls all times of the day while I was trying to rest and recover. Your program allowed me to create a payment arrangement I could manage, stay updated on my accounts, and get the debts resolved! It has been a pleasure to do business with you.
Thanks for the eMail! This was a simple but stupid oversight on my part, thus the prompt pmt. upon receiving your first eMail. My credit *** not be perfect but I guard it like a father bear, LOL. Have a great weekend!
This company is very knowledgeable and responsive. They are a life saver when it comes to financial issues. I wish they could assist me with all of my debts!
You are all doing a 100% a whole lot more better than you all did before. I appreciated all of everyones help. Thank You! Congradulations! In Best Regards:

TrueAccord contacted me about an account that ultimately did not correspond to me. The agent I spoke with was *** (ID 1226) and she was very thorough - she went through all the disclosures and helped me understand some of the more sensitive details of the account in question. After our exchange and review we came to the conclusion there was likely an old ID theft related account that was not my own, and we progressed to a C&D step (which her notes supported). I had a positive experience with TrueAccord, end-to-end, regarding an unpleasant event I didn't even know had occurred."
Great company to work with. They make sure your payments are easy and attainable. Thank you!
Yes they worked with me ? % I sure appreciate it to!?
There was no hassling phone calls. Initial contact was very professional, non threatening. We were able to work together to agree to an amount that would satisfy both parties to eliminate my debt.
The company was professional and seamless, never missed a beat!

I would sincerely like to thank TrueAccord for helping me resolve some of the financial problems that beset me since 2018 in the wake of a multiple faceted personal & financial calamity (business closure & devastating house fire followed by 6 mos of unemployment) that predictably led me to questions regarding how I might resolve my liabilities going forward without further excessive bloodshed in the process. Your company's willingness & ability to work out a feasible repayment option was a godsend in so many ways as I near the close of this adverse chapter in my life & turn the page towards a brighter future. With eternal gratitude, F.W.
They are great, they don't blow your phone up 24/7,They give you the opportunity to handle your debt on your schedule, zero pressure, for once a collection specialist that treats you like a human being and goes up and above to treat you with dignity&respect . Thank Youou &God Bless
They are extremely easy to work with, respond to emails in a timely manner, and offer multiple payment options and plans. I'm more than happy to have been able to work with them. If only all collection agencies could follow their ways, more people would be able to pay off their debts!
Working with you was a great experience. Other third party agencies can definitely take notes. You guys understand that sometimes life happens, but you made it simple and easy to settle and resolve my account. Thank you True Accord

Thank you so much True Accord
Thank you so much True Accord. I was able to take care of at least one of my debts strictly online, and was able to make the payments that I can afford. I was able to extend the due date, if I wasn't able to make the payment on the due date stated and I was able to pay it early if I had the extra money. I just paid off one of my debts today and hopefully am able to use True Accord again to help with some of my other debt. Once again, thank you for not being rude, or calling and threatening me about my debt. You definitely made it to where I actually wanted to attempt to make the payments and not have to deal with rude customer service representatives, who can't understand what we are saying.

I figured I would provide a review
I figured I would provide a review. They were very persistent, I would receive a call or two every week and emails to boot. At first when funds were low it was frustrating, but at the end of the day I was the one that caused a collection agency to come after me. Whenever I spoke with someone on the phone, they were never mean or disrespectful, they were always understanding and I genuinely felt they wanted to help. Today was my last day of payment! I can't tell you how it good it feels! I hope I never have to communicate with TrueAccord Corp. again! I mean that in the kindest way possible! Thank you for being empathetic & professional. And, also for the different payment options to choose from.

This company sent me an e-mail trying to claim that supposedly I owed over $1,000 in debt that was owned by *** North America. Upon further diving I discovered that it was instead targeted towards a family member that wouldn't have never used any credit card or banking services. I attempted to call and acquire information but I did not divulge any information more than necessary. To which after telling them it was targeted towards a family member and not myself they shut down. All they did was recommend that I tell my family member that they have outstanding debt done comma which I can only surmise that after and forming them of this they might write their own Complaintsboard.com review and also a scam report.

If 0 stars were an option
If 0 stars were an option... I acknowledge a debt, I agreed to settle, and I asked for contact information for the company that would be reporting to the credit bureau. More than 3 times I requested this information, each time my request was responded to with an obscure 30 day reporting email with no contact information. When I asked again clarifying I was ready to settle the balance but wanted the contact information for the company they were representing, since True Accord was not the reporting party, I was replied to with a "we are no longer handling your account". Today's world is full of scams, I believe I am entitled to a.) ensure my payment is legitimately being sent to resolve a debt and b.) discuss reporting with the authorized party
This is not my debt with Merrick Bank!
This is not my debt with Merrick Bank! My Identity was stolen and I will be writing a letter to you to have this account closed and ceased collections. I need you to instruct the 3 major credit bureaus Transunion, Experian and Equifax to delete and remove this account. It is a pandemic and this company is trying to collect payment from me, when I can't even collect toilet paper from the store. I find it highly unethical during these times people are selling "alleged" debt. I will be filing complaints with the Complaintsboard.com, CFPB, FTC and any other company that will accept complaints until this account is deleted completely! I will remove complaints and negative reviews once the company sends letter stating that they will delete and remove these accounts and contacted the reporting agencies if it has or was going to report to my credit. Thank you

I am getting emails from a business about a debt I do not owe
I am receiving emails from a company claiming I have an unpaid debt, which is false. They are attempting to extract personal information by alleging a non-existent debt. I haven't used a Verizon phone in 15 years, and all my bills were settled. I've requested they cease emailing me and to provide physical proof of the debt's validity, which they can't because it's unfounded. They may have acquired a list of accounts to pursue without verifying the accuracy of the data. I have no outstanding Verizon debt; everything was paid off. Moreover, any alleged debt would be too old to collect. They must furnish evidence of this claim or cease their intimidation tactics. It's a complete fabrication. No, I did not provide them with my address, as I wouldn't share such information with anyone trying to scam me via email or phone. I demand proof by mail, which I'm certain doesn't exist.

True Accord NEVER once pressured me in a negative way
True Accord NEVER once pressured me in a negative way. I will say they sent dozens of emails all within the realms of our laws and FINALLY I'm able to begin paying my debt off. I've been extremely ill with serious health issues, lost both my mother and father in September *** $400.00 a month. Thank you a million times over True Accord for allowing me the chance to pay my debt all while you where the utmost of true professionals at each turn. I am truly honored that you represent my creditors and they too have allowed me, with dignity, to pay them. Godspeed to each of you in this tumultuous times, please remain healthy during this pandemic and bless you all. It is my sincerest hope you have AAA plus complaintsboard.com ratings! I received a email front his company in March and nothing since then randomly I get another now in June
I received a email front his company in March and nothing since then randomly I get another now in June. I called them to let them know I had paid my debt in full in November . I even called the company I took the loan with and they had confirmed the amount was 0. I dont understand why all this time later they are inquiring about a debt. No letters in the mail either. The company I took the loan with had no issue sending me notices when I missed a payment before. Also when I logged in to check my payments my balance always said 0. I gave them all of my info in fear that it was real, now suddenly Im being told I owe more then I paid off. Which is odd to say the least. The loan company has never called me since which they have in the past before and suddenly I apparently owe them money and TrueAccord is sending me emails. The whole situation is funky. Definitely considering that the paperwork they sent me from TrueAccord verifies my payments and indicates no balance! Its just a copy of my agreement and no verification of a amount still being owed. Over the phone they still could not provide sufficient profit. Such a scam! Dont give these people your information!

0 Stars if possible
0 Stars if possible. TrueAccord Corp has to be a scam company. TrueAccord sent me an email with my full name and have my email address stating I owe them $2,015.00. And to click on a button to pay now or make arrangements for payments. I first tried to contact them by phone. And this is where the scam sets in. They say I need your full SSN. I question them back with, who and what is your company. Why would I give some total stranger my full SSN. That screams Scam, even if it's not. You should never be asked for it. You have the info, you sent me the email saying I owe you money. And not just a little bit of money. I pay all my bills. I have no collection accounts or late payments. To get an email like this is not good. How many older people that don't know any better just click on the link in the email and make payments. This company should be audited to see how many people have actually gave them money without owing it. Filed a dispute and received emails stating they are reviewing it. And the account is so old that they can not *** for it. And will not report it to the credit agency. But the best part is they can't tell me who I actually owed the money to? So is it just made up in the hopes of me just saying ok I owe you where do I pay. This is basically legal phishing. Since they do actually have some legit collection accounts.

Funnily enough I was in the process of paying down this debt a while back, and then one day logged into the site of the old agency that held it, and it had just completely disappeared and I couldn't find a single bit of info on where it went, so I greatly appreciate the opportunity from you guys for me to finish that up, and the ease with which it was accomplished here with your office. This took 5 minutes from seeing the email to reading the FAQs to done and paid in full and now writing this review. You guys are officially the first, one, and only, debt collection office I have genuinely had the pleasure of working with and sending money to. I sincerely hope that this kind of thing is the future of this industry, the email communications and straightforwardness in particular, and you guys are doing an excellent job, frankly the likes of which I've never seen in anything similar. I'm writing this right now, and even putting it on the Complaintsboard.com site too, so it must've been a good experience lol... I've dealt with a whole lot of different places over the past couple years getting my financial life back on track, and so many have been horrible places with obscurity, uncertainty, and threats draped over everything, all of which only made me more adversarial towards them. But this. This was an excellent and streamlined experience that made it incredibly easy to take care of a prior obligation I'd had every intention to in the first place... In conclusion, this debt was one of the last things I had to take care of, and I'm quite glad I was finally able to, and in 5 minutes at that. Like, just amazing, 11/10 to you guys.

TrueAccord Complaints 8
Since Feb 17, my account was charged off to a debt collector, and resolving it has failed.
MULTIPLE TIMES I've tried to resolve this since Feb 17 when my account was charged off to a debt collection company, TrueAccord (allegedly)-- I didn't realize this was going to happen, I didn't realize I had $80 outstanding, and every time I try to pay it off and restore my credit it's not possible. When I call the original company I am consistently told: We are unable to process your charged-off payment (though they try), it has gone to TrueAccord, you need to contact them. And then every time I contact TrueAccord with the information the original company insists I should be filed under, they have NO RECORD of my account, email, phone number, name, and on the cycle continues. I owe $80 and it's destroying my credit and I can't figure out how to pay it. I would do anything to pay it to the right person and scrub it from my record so I can move forward with my life. Neither party has been able to help me figure this out AT ALL since Feb, despite the fact that I've spent hours trying to contact BOTH parties at TrueAccord and the original company to NO AVAIL.

I have been contacted over the last year via email by True Accord telling me that I have a debt of $339.30 with a company that has acquired the original creditor's account and that my True Accord account number has been assigned. I have never had an account with this creditor, nor have I ever made a purchase with them. I have no knowledge of what this debt is for, nor do I know what the purchase of $339.30 was made for. I have never received information or communication from the creditor stating I have a defaulted account with them and do not accept any responsibility in the repayment of this debt to True Accord or the involved company.
If there has been a purchase made in my name and an account created in my name, it was done so fraudulently. I would like this to be rectified immediately by having the debt and my information deleted from the systems of True Accord and the creditor and not sold on to any other third party debt collectors as I did not create this debt. I also ask for True Accord to please cease and desist any further contact with me.
I received an email from TrueAccord that seems to be a phishing email. It claims that I took out a loan in 2006 with a company they didn't name. The message provided no other details besides my email and name. It mentions an address linked to the account but doesn't specify what it is. I have never lived in Reynoldsburg and was still in high school at the time. It's suspicious that they've somehow connected a random email to me and are trying to collect money. I want my email address removed from their records, and they should immediately cease any practices that link random emails to their debt collection activities.
I received a threatening debt collection email from this instrument of evil. I have never had an account with the company they say I owe. For this to happen they must be taking un-confirmed claims and threatening random people. I HAVE NEVER HAD AN ACCOUNT WITH SAID COMPANY.
I just received a letter from TrueAccord, received it on September 24, 2022
I just received a letter from TrueAccord, received it on September 24, 2022. The letter references an account with ***, account ending in ***, which supposedly went into default on December 7, and was "charged-off on June 9", over three years ago! TrueAccord writes that it's now the current owner of this "account" and is directing me to pay $619.07! During the year 2017, I learned I had cancer, and in 2018 I went through surgery, chemotherapy, radiation, etc. I have absolutely no knowledge of any account with ***. whether this is a mistake or a scam, I do not know. What I'm absolutely certain of is that the period mentioned in TrueAccord's correspondence, 2017, 2018, I would not have opened an account with ***, or any other institution. I was sick, trying to stay alive! Please help me with this issue. I'm not well even yet, am 71 years old, have been able to find a full time job, finally, and have no time or eneregy to spend with the likes of "TrueAccord" or "***". thank you for your attention, and time.
Early October 2022. I received a phone call from true accord, telling me I was being sued for fraud Turns out it's from a 12 year old credit card debt...statute of limitations in the state of Maine is 6 years. My last transaction with the credit card was over 12 years ago & is not even on my credit report. Account # with true accord is *** Statute of limitations protects me from this collection agency I want no further phone calls or emails from them.
I have received two emails from TrueAccord Corp. The first email was directed to my junk folder, and the second one found its way to my inbox. They are attempting to collect $659.41 for a bill from a company I have no association with. I have never made any purchases or held an account with this company, and consequently, I do not owe them any money. My TrueAccord account number was provided, but its relevance is unclear to me. I am uncertain about the legitimacy of TrueAccord as a collection agency, and their actions do not instill confidence in their authenticity. Their approach seems to be sending mass emails in hopes of ensnaring unsuspecting individuals. According to the email, the age of the purported debt precludes them from initiating legal action or reporting it to credit agencies. They claim to be a licensed collection agency in the state of Tennessee and allege that they are collecting this debt on behalf of another unfamiliar company, to which I also have no financial obligations. My intention is to demand that TrueAccord cease and desist from attempting to collect a debt that I do not owe. Furthermore, I believe that if their operations are as dubious as they appear, they should be stripped of their collection agency license and any accreditations they may hold.
I have been contacted twice now via email for an account belonging to *** This is not my identity. I have not given TrueAccord permission to contact me and I have no accounts with them.
true accord agreed to settle this debt for 603.76 and to remove this from my credit report and they didn't they stating that i owe them 150.00 and is reporting it as collections on my credit report I'm demanding them to remove this debt from my credit report immediately cause they are in violation with the law
I've been notified by True Accord about a debt of $339.30 with a company I don't recognize.
Over the past year, True Accord has emailed me claiming I owe $339.30 to a creditor I'm unfamiliar with. They say it's linked to an account under my name, but I've never opened such an account or authorized any purchases. I'm unaware of this debt's origin and have received no prior default notices. I reject any obligation to repay this amount to True Accord or any associated company. If an account or purchase exists, it's a case of identity theft. I demand the immediate removal of my details from all related databases and insist True Accord stops contacting me and doesn't pass my information to others.

They say they are collecting the debt for *** which is another company I have never used before and do not owe them anything. I seek to have TrueAccord cease and desist form trying to collect a bill which I do not owe. I received an email from TrueAccord that indicates they are trying to collect approximately $328 in unpaid debt to an unnamed original creditor. The address they gave for me is unfamiliar; I do not recognize the amount, the creditor, nor have I ever lived in Tennessee. Because of the above information, I am suspecting this is a phishing scam and am reporting it as such. Please advise on the next steps.
On or about February 8, 2022, I cancelled a contract with a company to install a security system in my home. The company had an arrangement with a financing firm to cover the cost of the equipment. A representative from the security company, Mr., assured me that the $1,031.46 received from the financing firm was returned to them on or about February 24, 2022, when the contract was cancelled. Even though I never personally applied for a loan with the financing firm, they forwarded my information to True Accord for collection. I have contacted True Accord multiple times in an attempt to resolve this matter. Despite my objections to this debt, True Accord has negatively impacted my credit by reporting to the credit bureaus, leading to the cancellation of my credit card by another financial institution. Enclosed is a copy of my correspondence with the security company that was dispatched to their office. Your help in addressing this situation would be highly valued.
This complaint is about a previous issue we raised against a certain company.
This complaint is about a previous issue we raised against a certain company. We bought airline tickets, financed by a third party, for a flight that was canceled during the pandemic. We were informed repeatedly by the airline, who works with the financier, that our charges would be reversed due to their cancellation, and they assured us and Complaintsboard.com of a refund by Dec. 30, 2020, with no collection activity. However, True Accord is now contacting us to collect on behalf of the financier. We've shown True Accord proof that we're owed the refund, which the financier has recognized. Yet, True Accord continues to disregard our evidence and harass us with demands for payment.

So they are allowed to go after the credit card companies that had to write it of because of fraud that was disputed and still trying to make anyone personal information that was compromised in the first place pay because the credit company that sold it to a collection agency to still collect because it wasn't paid out? Unbelievable ! This is harassment and these companies should not be able to do this because they clearly give themselves up stating they wont sue or send to credit agency's. so why harass me ? I just want to know WHY and clearly state the age of this debt they send a disclosure of Texas laws that they cant sue send to agencies so why is it that you still harass? This is simply Preposterous I was emailed August 11th, 13th,16th & 17th if this isn't harassments what would it be called? This need to stop. I've already sent 3 letters to the three credit agencies to report both *** and TrueAccord, next will my FICO for them to know what these collection agencies are doing.
On 12/21, a debt collector contacted me about a $981.05 debt I allegedly owe.
On 12/21, a debt collector reached out to me regarding an outstanding debt of $981.05, which is being collected by the current creditor. I have been a loyal customer for over 25 years with a consistently good standing account, never having a late payment. I suspect that True Accord has incorrectly associated my email address with this debt. On 12/29, the same debt collector contacted me with similar information and a request. On the same day, I responded by providing the account number assigned by TrueAccord and disputed the debt. I requested verification of the debt, believing True Accord had an incorrect email address for me. Later on 12/29, the debt collector acknowledged my dispute and halted all collection efforts, informing the account owner and beginning an investigation. They assured me that collections would not resume until I received validation documentation. However, this was not the case as I continued to receive collection emails on 2/11/2022 and 4/7/2022. I responded each time, reiterating my request for debt validation documentation as legally required. I received an email confirming my request and stating that all collection activities were on hold. Yet, on 6/3/2022, the same debt collector contacted me again with the same request, which seems to be a continued violation of 15 U.S.C. 1692g Sec.809(b). It seems True Accord lacks an effective system to manage debt disputes or their employees are not adequately trained on the procedures.

Made it easy to settle my outstanding debt balance thank you
Im very grateful for how easy they were to work with. They helped me find a repayment plan I could afford. Happy to say my account is now paid in full!
Great company to work with, if you have too. I had to postpone 2 payments and they had no problem with helping me do it. Thank you so much
They are very helpful. Made you feel comfortable so it was easy to talk with them. When you made a payment they would send you an email with the payment made and the ones coming up so you knew how many more months you need to pay and the amount.
