This was the tow bill my insurance company received on trying to retrieve my vehicle. This was for about a 25mile tow. I originally wanted them to take it to my house as I could have stored it behind my fence, but the driver insisted and said I would get a ticket from city (which would have been cheaper by the way) and that I have full coverage insurance so there is no problem.
It appears TAR AUTO Recovery is charging some excessive fees that may not be covered by your auto policy.
$200 LOADED MILES
$110 DEADHEAD MILES
$600 TOW
$300 ADMIN - not covered
350 LABOR - this represents over 7 hours of labor. We question if this is accurate.
1100 STORAGE (11 DAYS AT 100 PER DAY) 2/1 - Allstate will cover reasonable daily fees based on the area. This is about $40/day.
300 GATE FEE - This charge is covered at $100
Total - $1860
Recommendation: BEWARE!!! TAR Auto Recovery Plano Texas charges insanely high and excessive fees
