Express Oil Change & Tire Engineers

On 04-25-23 I took my car into Cahaba Heights AL location for spark plugs to be replaced. I went in wanting spark plugs done, was there from 10:30-2:30 because they wasn’t sure my problem was spark plugs, he was saying he thought maybe transmission. They drove it off a few times and decided to do spark plugs finally. I confirmed that the opinion about transmission was incorrect now and he said yes, he was almost sure it was that until we did spark plugs and seen they was fried. They replaced them and then told me my car was showing a code which it wasn’t before, I had taken it too advanced auto before coming here and no codes showed up then nor when I first pulled into express. So they was trying to switch around the new spark plugs and see which was giving an issue now. I watched them yank around in my hood and kept reving my engine which I have always thought that was bad for cars.

I got told it was all good to go finally, asked if they test drove it to be sure and they confirmed they did. Which I did not ever see my car pull out again after the new plugs got in. I watched the entire time because I was so on edge about the entire deal.

Got 15 minutes down the road and my car wouldn’t accelerate anymore, it just started sounding worse and worse the more I tried to drive. Completely broke down on me and I made sure to ask him if this car will get me home now because I live an hour away. He said yes it will. I let them know I only had 400$ to my name which ended up being my bill total.
