Every time that I go into the Dollar Tree Store (Champlain Dr. in Fresno, CA.) there is only one checker and about 15-20 people in line waiting! This has occurred several times in the past year. Today was the same situation-nothing has improved! I got very frustrated and discussed this with the manager. I go the feeling that she could give a "rat's behind" to my complaint. That is why I am writing this complaint to see if anybody else can do something to solve this issue! I have been a loyal customer, and I will NOT travel another 7 miles to a different store in Fresno! I will give this another 2 months and if the situation has not improved - I will not give Dollar Tree any more of my business!
Desired outcome: To have a speedy checkout!!!

The store manager doesn't make the decision on how much help is at the store, or potential wait time at checkout. The store manager isn't even able to talk to anyone who can actually do anything about wait time. You as a customer probably don't know and won't believe when told with backed up evidence, but manager are often in the store by themselves for 8 hours a day 6 days a week cause the company will not provide enough budget to have a minimum of 2 employees in the store at 1 time for more than 5 hours a day. If they want more coverage then that then the store manager has to work those hours without any additional pay. Some do work over the required salary manager hours by as much as 80 hours a week. They have to stop at 80 hours though cause if they go over 80 hours a week they get wrote up cause even salary position are entitled to overtime past 80 hours a week and the company does not allow overtime for any position.
