Walmart

A Walmart security personnel kicked me out, had me handcuffed, charged with trespassing, and banned from all Walmarts and Sam's Clubs after I asked to talk to a manager about a self checkout employee that took items that I planned to purchase. The items were in plain sight on the counter but she claimed she thought "I didn't want them". I was still at the register and there was no reason for her to believe that. I am an African American woman with a PhD. I have never stolen anything. I was handcuffed and and put in a police car. The security officer refused to give me a copy of the ban because I would not sign without legal representation. I contacted Walmart's National Ethics Division. After 1 1/2 weeks they emailed me and told me to call and handle it with the security manager at the store that had me handcuffed and charged with trespassing! Walmart Ethics is "supposed" to be an independent organization that handles ethics concerns. Apparently not! Instead they send you back to talk to the store that created the ethical concern.
