Was frequent repeat customer who used the store from its opening until ran into serious problems with customer service and COVID safety. Have not been back since October as my repeated attempts to get, Anthony, manager, to take charge and effectively enforce Employee Mask Safety Policy came to no avail. In fact, spoke with him at least 4 different times, including in privacy of the back room. Thought each time the Mask Problem would be resolved. Personable enough and seemed, at first at least, interested in following through. Perhaps he gave up.
Only know that one cashier, Vanessa, had a poor, belligerent attitude and demonstrated on more than one occasion that she thought she could get away with being outright snide and talking back to me.
Apparently she thought there would be no repercussions.
When I was there in October got into showdown at register with her as had had enough of her sloppy mask wearing (or lack of). She never backed down and rudely told me the manager wasn't there when I asked to speak to him. That was last straw and I insisted to speak to someone in charge. There was line building (which could care less at that point) and some lady, who seemed nice enough, came out but appeared to be ineffective.
Among other things I said should not have to be treated that way and that this was not the norm anywhere else. Volunteered to leave my name and number but she said that they didn't need it as they already had it.
Waited weeks with NO call. Have left 3 msgs on district line. NO response.
Am 67 years old and rarely have ever had as rude a clerk as her. Certainly not at another $ Tree and have been to plenty of them over time.
That said, knew was going to be made fun of (and already had been) if returned so have refused to go back there until this gets Resolved.
Since I favor this location for its convenience and aim to buy Local,
need Prompt Response without further delay.
