Window installation and Duke Energy Rebate-

Our transaction date was January 8, 2020 and you came out to our home
on that date. We placed an order of 5 energy saving windows to be
installed.
You told us about the Duke Energy rebate program and getting the
needed forms, which I obtained online. You also told us that we did
not need to have
an inspection by Duke Energy within 2 years of the window installation
which was indicated on their form. Since you never told us directly we
thought it was waved.
You mentioned that we would have to drop off the completed form for
you to complete the measurements and direction of the new energy
performance windows.
We had that completed by you and with that we submitted all with the
necessary window certified labels.
We were so very disappointed that according to Duke Energy, we did not
qualify. As you did not tell us we needed to have an inspection by
Duke and this is the reason
that we were turned down for the rebate. You said, no one had been
turned down for the rebate due to not having the inspection. Fran at
Duke Rebate Program said, no one
can obtain the rebate without the Duke Energy Inspection and Lowe's
knew about the pre-inspection that was required for the rebate.
Since you dropped the ball Eric, we believe that Lowe's, as your
employer, should take care of their customer and make up for this
error.
We are senior citizens and certainly looked forward to the Duke Energy
rebate to help pay for these windows.

Hello, I never told you that you didn't need an inspection. I said that you needed to register with Duke Energy for application for the rebate for the one time

Eric, you just told me on the phone the other day that an inspection
was not needed for us to get a rebate. Why would I even think of
dealing with Lowe's again when
I wasn't told the most important thing in order to be eligible for the rebate.
Yes, Duke made the policy but they are stating that since we were not
given the right information that you are responsible for us losing out
on the rebate.
I would like to see a discount on Michael's store credit card to make
up for our loss of the rebate.
Can you tell me who you report to? Who is your direct Supervisor/Manager?

Eric, you did not tell us that we needed to have a inspection by Duke Energy. This is why we were not eligable for the rebate. You told us what had to be done, yes, but not about the Duke inspection that was the major thing we needed to get before the installation of the new windows.
