I am writing as both customer and parent. I have been a customer for 20 years and have never had any issues. But in store number 7596 I have seen the way employees are treated. As a parent of one of those employees I have been very concerned. My daughter and a coworker were berated in front of customers.
But what has happened these last two days really has me concerned. My daughter has 2 masters in business as well as a bachelor's in fine arts majoring in interior design. She was recently offered a job that will more completely use these skills. She could not refuse an offer to like this,
She gave her resignation to her manager giving the 2 week notice. The manager did not even speak to her afterwards. Then she gets a call from the District manager who is very put out about her leaving saying as how he had planned to change her assignment to another store closer to home. She requested that she do her two weeks in her present assignment.
Very little time passed before she received a text from him giving her no choice but to report to the other store and the employee there will be filling her spot at her store. She later found out that this employee had been threatening to quit if he wasn't moved from the other store. She is being treated as though she is deserting or something even though she is being totally professional about it all.
Desired outcome: I would like to see their behaviors addressed and she should get an apology. Also, she should be allowed to finish where she is.
