I was hired on in Gainesville at the browns Bridge location. I told them I couldn't start until the 1st of November so they scheduled me in on the 29th of October. I came in did cbls and wasn't scheduled to work until a week later. Ever since day 1 I would get group texts which usually consisted of the manager stating something wasn't done and we should all fire ourselves. I thought not much of it seeing how I haven't actually been on the floor or anything until I realized this manager was saying all this over the smallest of things to absolutely everyone even I in training. I went in for a second day and things went as OK as no training will get you. Then received a text the next morning referring to our work as garbage and again we should fire ourselves. Now I tried my absolute best with another 1st day and a 7th day employee, and was told I was doing well even though I had no idea what to do. I kept asking how to do things but the store was busy and there was no clear instructions given to me. So after crying for about a hour due to how belittling and mean the texts where I finally quit. I don't think bullying is the right tactic of training because insults still don't tell me what I'm supposed to be doing. I used to frequent this store for just about everything and now I never wish to return just knowing how the employees are treated. I wasn't given a store number or even last names of anyone. It all seems rather strange to me.
