Dollar Tree Pooler GA 5/27/2020. After completing a application and interview, I was asked to fill out employment tax forms via email. I was then asked to bring in my id and ss card to schedule training. When I arrived on the agreed date the manager stated she was unable to upload the information requested and submitted to her in the system and ask that I call before returning the next day. Upon calling to check if the system was up and working before returning to the store the manager stated the system was still down and to call in two hours. Two hours later I again called and the manager answered and rudely asked me if I was just waking up or under the influence. Dollar Tree do you train your managers to ask applicants if they are under the influence of alcohol or narcotics over the phone? Some people may not find this offensive but I do! Do you each look forward to the call from the person of authority each day asking if you have been drinking or doing drugs? Are you teaching your children how to handle a call like such from their job or jobs? Parents in America do you say to your children, Tommy when your boss calls and ask if you have been drinking or doing drugs this how you should answer? I am appalled at the disrespect and lack of class needed to be called managment by Dollar Tree. People, my only mistake or bad judgement was applying for a position where they look for employees they can demean by disrespect. Also I left a message with the district manager Deena Smith, still awaiting her call.
