Dollar General - Employees

Hello my name is Natasha McMillan and around 5:45, I visited your store at 4385 Castle Gate Dr, Snellville GA, Store 20478, (470) 242-8273. When I first entered the store I noticed that two elderly women, were asking the store rep that was behind the counter " y'all don't wear mask here?" she was polite was simply asking, as the cashier did not have on a mask, but was talking over everything. The lady's completed their purchase and walked out. The 2 store employees must have assumed that the store was empty because they started talking negatively about customers. I was disappointed and shocked that they would be so unprofessional and condescending with their words. When I appeared around the corner one of the employees (middle to older black female) quickly stopped the conversation and was shocked that someone was in the store. The other rep (white middle aged women), continued her conversation stating that the women had an attitude (they didn't) and that no one should be questioning her about not wearing a mask, the mask doesn't work, and she doesn't believe in the views. She continued her negative rant as if customers were not in the building. The other employee initially seemed shocked by her comments, but then joined in to talk negatively about other customers concerning the bathroom, and the man that just left from out of there and that she wanted to close it. How could employees that represent the brand be so careless and unprofessional. I get it we've all been there, and I am not even upset about her not wearing a mask, even though it is a policy on your website (unless they have health issues), but it was the inability to be professional, and to respect all value customers within the store and the ones who just left. There are thousands of people who don't have a job during this pandemic, and here you have two employees that lack compassion, and company values.

Please counsel or provide training for these two individuals on professionalism and company standards and values. If mask are to be worn, then it should be enforced. Talking about customers, and especially in front of other customers is unacceptable.
