Dollar Tree

I am an employee (cashier) of the dollar tree on e. Pershing rd. Decatur, illinois, 62526 since april 2020. As of today, august 18, 2020, I was told by my store manager that our corporate office will not allow us to wear a mask stating the president's name only after a customer cussed at me, threatened me, called me all types of names and no one said anything to the customer or me. I was harassed by the customer who held up my line and was very demeaning. I had been wearing the mask for two weeks as I was told that I was able to wear anything I wanted as a a mask since april, including handkerchiefs etc. I was told if I didn't take the mask off and use one of theirs that I had to leave. The incident with the lady happened the day before (the 17th). The issue is that the masks dollar tree provides are from wuhan china where the pandemic started. Not only did a customer get away with harassing me, but I was told I could not wear a comfortable, sturdy breathable mask as I have breathing issues, just because it stated the presidents name and only after being harassed by the customer. Suddenly only dollar tree masks were allowed or plain print masks just asap proceeding this incident. I was told I cannot mix politics with work yet everyone mixes politics at work, and giving essential employees masks from wuhan china is highly political in a very bad way. All ppe should be from america not china. Why am I forced to support wuhan over my president and be threatened by customers. Nevermind the fact that I had an issue with the dolar tree bank locking up my funds for a month and no one would help me, not district, store or corporate level. Furthermore the store is filthy and our customers are not made to wear masks. A relaible employee should never be forced between supporting wuhan china and her president. No one should be. This store needs a health inspection and to get ppe from proper places, not tell employees they must wear a wuhan mask for nonpolitical reasons. This is insanity and I am ready to quit over it. No way am I wearing a wuhan mask because someone isn't doing their job right purchasing ppe from china, and my constitutional rights are extremely violated. I have every right to support my president quietly, especially over china, especially when 75% of our customers don't even wear a mask
