I stopped by the store one day to use the bathroom and pick up something to eat for my husband and I. I used the restroom and when I came out I grabbed some snacks and went to the register. The girl working said her register was locked up and to come to the other one. I walked to the other register and she said that one has to reboot so I went back to the 1st one. She took my items like she was gonna ring them up. The door opened and I looked up at it and saw two cops standing there, one of them walked towards me and asked me to come outside. I followed them outside and they told me that I was barred from there for stealing. I have never stolen anything from the dollar store, I use to work at 1. I left without my items. I called there the next day to speak to the manager not knowing she was the one who called the cops and she was extremely rude to me,she cussed me like I was a piece of crap. Well come to find out Miranda Gore(I think is her last name) is the girlfriend of my daughter's x boyfriend. I didn't know her but she knew me. She called the cops, told them I was stealing, and had me barred because she hates my daughter. I don't appreciate that crap one bit. I shop at the dollar store everyday if not twice a day but u can assure you that they will not get anymore of my business nor the business of anyone else in my family because if that's the way employees treat their customers then I don't need anything from there. Family dollar will get my business now and it's 10
minutes further away than the dollar store. Plus my best friend is black and she called him a [censored]. This girl does not deserve to work at the dollar store or anywhere else for that fact.
Desired outcome: She should be fired.
Dollar General - linda, the manager
The manager of this particular Dollar General Store is a racist. She berates the black employees in front of customers and if the customers complain about it, she blames said black employees. She is driving business away from this store, and I'm not sure how many complaints it will take for the corporate office to do something about it. I have NEVER in my life experienced anything like what I experienced during the last week or so of August. I live in Louisville, Ky but I am from Paducah and I was visiting my family. I went into the store, and a clerk by the name of Crystal (at least, that's what her name tag read) was yelled at behind a closed door so loudly, we (customers) could hear her screaming at the register. This is crazy. I was always glad that I left Paducah, but this really solidified and validated my feelings. Something has GOT to be done about this woman. I am thinking about offering to pay for an attorney for the associate because she needs an attorney to deal with this woman if she is not going to be removed. That day was so bad, a customer actually went to the office in which Linda was in and asked her to come help the associate, but she refused. The associate had to restart her register twice, to no avail. It wasn't working. Subsequently, I counted 12 customers who put their items down and walked out.
