I am submitting a complaint against an employee at [store #3858] 30056 Grand River Ave., in Farmington Hills Michigan. A young (African American) male working the cash register appeared to have made a mistake when giving me back incorrect change (as I, our mom and sister purchased items). The young man was very rude and unintelligent. He made false claims of giving me $25 back before breaking change (as I had given him a $100 bill) to complete the sale. He was $10 short but kept insisting that he had given me $25 dollars back when he hadn’t! My sister informed him that she had been watching the transaction the whole time and that he had never given me anything prior to taking the $100 bill. Again, he was very rude, and began to insult our intelligence! It took another manager there (a Caucasian gentleman) to go in the back and count the money. He discovered that the total was $10 dollars over (which proved that he hadn’t given me the correct change). He was not apologetic for making the false claim and refused to apologize for “his very own mistake.” I feel as though this young man is a liability to your establishment. It appears that he is not very good at counting money, nor does he possess “adequate” customer service skills needed to keep customers wanted and welcomed back to Dollar Tree. If you would like to contact me about the matter you can (by email). Thank you.
Sincerely,
Randy Montgomery

Desired outcome: His employment should be terminated.
