I am filing this complaint regarding an issue that I have with an incident that took place in your Huntsville Mo. Store approximately 30- 45 minutes ago. The incident involved myself, as well as the manager of the store, the employee running the register, and several customers who were standing in line behind me at the time. As I was paying for my items the store manager walked up to me in front of several customers and another employee and stated loud and clear that I might want to watch myself because a customer earlier today had told them that I had put something into my pocket. I assure you that anything they may have seen me place in my pocket would have been my own personal belongings (phone, wallet, etc.) And nothing belonging to DG.
While I understand the managers stance about people stealing from your store and the fact that she was listening to a customer and trying to speak to me about this complaint, I absolutely do not appreciate the fact that she chose to bring this to my attention in front of so many other people without trying to even be discreet about it. It was very unprofessional to say the least. I am a well known and well respected member of the Huntsville community and I was very embarrassed by the accusations that were made in front of so many fellow citizens. Had I actually taken something or had she witnessed this personally it may have been excusable to approach me in this situation. But for her to go on the word of someone else and choose to approach me when she did was absolutely out of line. She could have asked me to step aside and talk with her in a private, respectable manner and I never would have had any issue with the situation at all.
The embarrassment that she caused me by approaching me when and where she did was completely unnecessary. Regardless of whether I actually did it or not, the fact that the other customers heard her accuse me of it could result in my fellow citizens judging me as a thief when in fact there is no proof of any wrong doing on my part. Only here say and a poorly timed accusation from your management. I do not appreciate this whatsoever and I am seriously considering not doing business in her store again. I have even considered contacting an Attorney based on the fact that this could effect me professionally in my community. I do construction work and anyone who thinks that I may have stolen something from Your store simply because she said so in front of them, may not give me their business. These are very serious matters in my opinion and I am shocked and completely embarrassed that this has taken place in my neighborhood store. It was absolutely unprofessional at the very least. Whether you choose to reply or take action is totally your call but This may very well have cost your company a loyal customer. I will have to give it some more thought as to whether I will take any further action.

Dollar General - this store is a nightmare
This store needs immediate attention. You cannot get down aisles because of merchandise piled in carts. A handicap person could not shop here because of aisles being blocked. Merchandise cannot be found because it's not where it should be. It is the only place to shop in this town and I believe the prices are escàlated because the compañy knows there is no where else to shop. If there were a fire it'd be difficult to get out of the store quickly. Someone from Corporate nerds to visit it soon and clean it up
This is all to often a complaint for this company. Easy solution just call your fire marshall, your isles will get cleaned up and no ones life is in jeopardy with the blocked isles and mdse all over the store. More ppl complain maybe Corporate will see that this is a common complaint. Tennessee office needs to correct this issue with these stores. Corporate wake up, it’s right here In your face, your stores would be so much better without all these complaints
