The Yandell Rd Dollar General in Gluckstadt Ms. 02/21/2024 at 2:25 pm I purchased a netspend mastercard and placed $20.00 on it. Proceded to activate it and it said to call netspend. Called netspend and they said the card was not processed correctly and drive back 10 miles to the store and have them call dollar general help desk and re process the card. I drove the miles back. The general manager offered me seeing the amount I wanted to transfer to the card from Cash App said he would personally do it for an ATM fee. I told him no thanks…He said that Netspend does not tell him how to run his store. I had him listen over the speaker phone to the Netspend representative and he still would not help. I became irritated and threatened to call the police because 22.95 had been taking out of my bank that Cash App did not support.
We have a contract I have a receipt and bank statement indicating money was withdrawn and manager will not help. I know its just $22.95 but it is the principal of doing business with a store that is suppose to have more integrity. I also think the general manager is not showing integrity when stating he would do it himself for a ATM fee.
Claimed loss: 22.95
Desired outcome: Either get the card activated or have my money refunded at another Dollar General Store that I trust. The Manager should be discipline. I asked him for his name and he told me he was going to call the cops. I left the store.
