Walgreens - Shorted 20 pills in my prescription refill yesterday

I went to pick up a prescription refill yesterday (7/27/23), I also took my fiancee to pick up her prescription refills. This was at the walgreens in elkin, nc on bridge street.. We went through the drive through pick up window.. Upon contact with the female at the drive through pick up, I was greeted via intercom and I acknowledged her, told her we were their to pick up prescriptions, gave the female my fiancee's name, date of birth, etc for her prescription pick up and then gave the female my name, date of birth, etc.. The female then briefly left the window to retrieve our prescriptions.. I began to feel a uneasy feeling that something wasnt quite right.. The female pharmacy (tech), (I doubt) returned to the window with prescription bags in hand.. She asked for our last 4 digits of our phone numbers, address, etc... She then told me my total and asked for my id.. I placed my id and a $20 dollar bill in the retrievable tray, the female pulled same inward, etc.. She then began to gather the bags of prescriptions and started stapling them together. This really when my gut was saying something isnt right, the female stapled the smallest bag (my prescription to the rear of one of my fiancee's prescription bag. (I noticed this very clearly, mistake or not, a hipaa violation). Upon retrieving all the bags of prescriptions through the drive through slot I had that inner voice telling me to check my prescription bottle and count the pills..Instead of listening to that "always" right inner guidance I asked my fiancee if I should count my pills, she said no, but I said at least let me look at the bottle.. My fiancee handed me the bag after pulling it from being stapled to one of her prescriptions. I then tore open the bag and saw a small pill bottle container with pills in it.. I took the top off and saw that it was filled to overfilling.. My fiancee saw the bottle and contents.. I said to myself, there's no way thats 180 pills, but waited til I got to my fiancee's residence and hurried in to the kitchen and proceeded to open the bottle and poured the pill content out onto a large tablecloth. I counted the pills at least 4 times and only 160 pills were the total count each time counted.. I then began to get really angry and my fiancee then counted the pills herself at least 2-3 times and came up with the same amount of 160 (20 short).. I then called walgreens pharmacy in elkin, nc.. After waiting for awhile my call was answered.. I asked if it was the pharmacist I was talking to and they indicated it was.. (steve thomason) I then advised the pharmacist of my situation, advised them of the odd behavior and actions of the female pharmacy employee I dealt with at the drive through and that I was missing 20 tramadol pills, the small bottle and over flowing pill content and that im subject to a pill count via the pain clinic I regularly go to.. Steve thomason advised id have come by tommorow and see someone in charge to have the situation resolved and indicated they couldnt do anything tonight... Needless to say I was and currently highly p*ssed off about this encounter.. Ive decided ill contact elkin pd shortly after I arrive at walgreens in elkin to file a police/ incident report.. Ive already placed a nasty review on google and if the situation isnt resolved in a satisfactory manner ill file a complaint with the nc board of pharmacists and contact the local dea office and file a complaint, contact tge district manager for walgreens for this area and numerous other avenues to put the walgreens in elkin, nc in the spotlight by any means necessary! Walgreens in elkin, nc is bs!, no one answers the phone and when they do, they hang up and now this incident of possible >diversion/ theft of my prescription meds

Desired outcome: I Want My Missing 20 Pills and I Will Not Ever Have Any Further Dealings..If my Prescription Meds missing Were Diverted/ Stolen, I want to see Prosecution Of All Involved Individuals..
