On June 21, 2021 I opened a Lowes Credit Card and purchased a washer and dryer. I had the ordered scheduled for Thursday July 1, 2021. I called several days before the delivery date and had the date changed to Monday, July 5th. The representative assured me my date was change.
The day before my original delivery I received an automated phone call that my order was being delivered 7/1/21. I called Lowes and was again re-assured that my delivery was changed to 7/5 and to ignore the calls or if they show up, do not accept delivery. I received several more phone calls, so I decided to speak to a representative of the delivery company.
They informed my that my delivery was still scheduled for 7/1/21 and that only the dryer was on the truck. I said I ordered a washer and dryer and was not taking delivery and would call the Lowes in which I ordered these appliances to straighten out.
I called Lowes and spoke to a representative that told me that my original date was not changed, but that he would make sure if was now changed to 7/5/21.
On 7/4/21 I wondered why I was not getting any automated calls regarding my delivery that was supposed to be arriving on 7/5/21, since I was told that they would provide a time frame of either morning or afternoon and then call me 20 minutes before they were to arrive.
On Monday, 7/5/21 I called Lowes at approximately 7:20am to find out if my order was being delivered. I was informed that the records indicated that I had physically come in and picked up my washer and dryer. The representative at Lowes said he would try and see if my washer and dryer would be able to be delivered today.
Around 9:40am I called back Lowes since I had not received a phone call confirming whether or not my appliances would be delivered. I was told by the representative that he thought someone had called me back and said my delivery was coming and thought I would have been the 1st stop.
Unfortunately, I was not the first stop and also was not given a timeframe of either morning or afternoon so I had to wait all day without knowing when the driver was going to show up.
I have been a long time card holder and customer of Home Depot, but thought I would give Lowes a try since I thought their visually they had more of a variety. I was informed by a family friend that Lowes was not good with their deliveries but thought I would give them a try anyway. Needless to say, they were correct. My first experience with Lowes was less than satisfactory. This experience will make me think twice about using my Lowes Card again.
Since I will be coming in to add the warranty to both the washer and dryer, I feel I should be compensated for at least 1 if not both of the appliances for the 5 year warranty.
I will also be coming into the store to discuss this matter in person.
