I purchased a samsung plasma tv 6 months later it quit and was repaired by samsung. Six months later it did the same thing. The warranty company and p c richard & son said i was lying and then gave me a run around about my tv. It took 1 week of calling every day an 3 hours of sitting in the store and refusing to leave without a tv and telling them that we were going to sue them if they didn't honor the plan that we had bought for us to get another tv. They said it was going to take them another week for them to decide if we were going to get a new one. When the repair was going to cost double what the tv cost knowing that the tv that broke was the only one we had. It was nearly 2 weeks to get another one after it quitand wiuld have bee longer if we had not been proactive about getting it taken care of.

PC Richard & Son - i will never shop p c richard & son again, and i'm hearing that from more and more people.
I bought a dishwasher planning to install this weekend. They said they couldn't get it until Tuesday;. Went to pick it up Wednesday, they said it wouldn't be there til Friday;. Got a call Friday letting me know that once again, it won't be there til Tuesday|. I'm remodeling my kitchen and have ordered appliances from Home Depot and Best Buy and have never had an issue|. I will never shop P C Richard & Son again, and I'm hearing that from more and more people;. And that's pretty bad considering our store in New York:. has only been open about two months

You can say sorry all you want. You can admit you sold a poor product. But stringing a customer out for weeks without a TV and no solution is a JOKE! Stay away from P C Richard & Son they are a nightmare to deal with. Sold me $2400 piece of junk TV that has gone up in smoke 4 times. Have strung me out for weeks with no resolution. No returned calls. Given another number that no one will help. Local store is worthless to resolve problem;. After weeks I still don't know when or what will be done to replace TV:. Oh, I forgot'. I purchased the extended (and expensive) warranty". They now have to replace the unit because their repair people say it's not repairable, . This is the fourth time this turkey of a TV has gone up in smoke;. Horrible experience.. Never, ever want to deal with this company again

We received a rebate Visa card from P C Richard & Son for delivery cost. The value dropped every month prior to expiration due to some bs maintenance fee;. No other merchant pulls that bs?.
P C Richard & Son store manager's James attitude was ok bad". Next time read the small print'. The sales people only tell you about the rebate, not the loss of value nonsense:. A Visa card should be a visa card and the expiration date should be the policy not some small print included with the card:.
Go to Home Depot or another retsiler who will deliver free wiyh out a nonsensical rebate card, .and save yourself aggravation.

I went to P C Richard & Son to buy a washer/dryer weekend -- free holiday on energy efficient appliances. Ended up purchasing an LG set and was told it was the newest and highest rated on the market. I negotiated the price, and they ended up coming down off of the listed price about $30. However, they kept telling me that it was even lower because they weren't charging for tax -- finally I told them they needed to stop bringing that up as part of the deal cause I could go anywhere in Paramus N.J. that weekend and get the same deal - it was not special to P C Richard & Son. Then, when we were checking out -- all of a sudden there were all these extras - powercord fee, vent fee, delivery fee. At that point we should have walked away - but again they took a little off the price to offset these additional fees;. We were told first we could get delivery same day for an extra $25 - I said okay because we just moved in to our new home and didn't have a unit, . Then we were told, no its going to be next day, then after paying were told 2 days!. Was irritated that they kept changing it, but at that point we had already paid". They call the day before delivery to tell us that they don't have the unit in stock and that it will be 10 days before they can deliver, but they are willing to give us the floor units.. When we ask about a discount/ or warranty cause they are already out of the box, we are told we are already getting a great deal and that no one will be able to beat it and they aren't willing to throw in anything extra;. So I had them charge back my card and I took my bussiness to Brandsmart, where they really had the newest model (lie #1 P C Richard & Son), at an already cheaper price (lie#2 P C Richard & Son), and they didn't charge any other fees, just for delivery! So I ended up buying a newer model for cheaper (buy about $100)!. DO NOT GO TO P C Richard & Son - was helped by Ola.

8/24/12 customer service and the sales employee saw me walk in they were all standing around talking to each other but no one approached and asked if i could be helped. I walked to the appliance and the tv section thinking they might notice me if they thought I was going to buy an appliance or a tv set. still no one approached me. 15min later a sales man asked me if he could help. their customer service and sales people really need to realize that without customers money they wouldn't be able to feed their families

I bought a Bosch gas dryer from P C Richard & Son, with an additional 5 years warranty. The dryer broke after being in use for two months. I had a technician from Bosch, and from P C Richard & Son come and examine the dryer. They said it is not reparable. I contacted P C Richard & Son, and asked for either a full refund, or exchange. The store offered me a partial refund, only for $350 (I paid a total of $801). PC Richard would allow me only to re-select a dryer at their store. I have been on the phone with P C Richard & Son central office [protected]), for six business days (from December 19 through December 29, 2011). They have the worst customer service ever. If I accepted their partial refund, I would lose $451. They do not want to exchange the gas dryer either. Never buy anything at P C Richard & Son. Their extended warranty is worth nothing.

You have legal rights under express and implied warranty laws. 2 months use has ZERO to do with the "4 years extra warranty." Bosch is obligated to do a warranty replacement. They actually credit PC Richard for this. Contact th NJ Dept of Consumer Affairs.

I called the store on Wednesday night and inquired if they would sell me a Sony TV for the same price offered by Sears. After 20 minutes on the phone (the associate had to discuss it with his manager), I was told they would match the Sear's price. The next morning, I went to the store to pick up my TV and was told I couldn't buy it for the price we agreed on over the phone. The manager James claimed he was working the night before but knew nothing about my phone call. Another associate overheard us talking and chimed in that he was working the night before also and knew all about my phone call and the agreed price and they still wouldn't honor it. So, I left and will never shop there again. In time, they will go the same route as Circuit City, out of business!

PC Richard & Son - do you not care about word-of-mouth or customer satisfaction? apparently not.
P C Richard & Son: A customer should be able to walk into a store to buy a $500+ appliance and have knowledgeable and helpful salespeople to assist and then get competent delivery and follow-through on promises your managers make. Why do you seem to go out of your way to make buying a refrigerator or other appliance a difficult and unpleasant experience from start to finish? Do you not care about word-of-mouth or customer satisfaction? Apparently not.
Every single thing you sell, we can buy somewhere else! The ONLY reasons we have to buy from you are lower price or better service or both. It's easy to have a lower price but what customers really care about is the way you treat them--that is the way to achieve customer satisfaction and gain repeat business. You need to get back to basics.

PC Richard & Son - of course the delivery guys had done it the wrong way.
After they guys left and I had taken all the styrofoam and tape out of the new refrigerator and put my food in it, I read the instruction manual. It clearly warned not to move it by putting the dolly under the side-it should go under the back only. Of course the delivery guys had done it the wrong way and I can only hope that my refrigerator wasn't damaged. Don't they train people how to move the appliances?
The plastic cap that is supposed to cover the hole for the screw that attaches the freezer handle is missing as well. I had asked to have the door reversed and the doors are not even quite level, but good enough. So the assembly was sub-par but barely acceptable.

Well, the refrigerator was delivered late, at a few minutes after 2:00 pm. I was actually okay with that--I would have preferred it to be earlier in the day but fifteen or twenty minutes late is no big deal with me, I've had people show up many hours late or not show up at all. Besides, I'm sure delivering appliances is hard work and not the most pleasant job in the world and this was confirmed when I heard the two guys cursing with the foulest Spanish possible outside in the hallway. Hey guys, I speak Spanish! Not a nice thing to do! However, they were polite to me and for all I know one of them dropped the refrigerator on the other one's foot.
While the delivery men were bringing the new refrigerator into my house, I saw that it had several small dents on the top right side, some with white paint in them, as well as a very large dent on the corner of the refrigerator compartment door. What? I had ordered a new refrigerator, not a floor model or scratch & dent special!

Their sales people may be fine but if you need service, it's exactly the opposite. You are at their mercy & they stink. Today is the 3rd service call on the same appliance, a refrigerator?. They refuse to give you a time frame ahead of time, so you have to leave the entire day open|. Of course their time is more important than yours, every time:. I spoke to a supervisor this morning & he was very uncooperative & offered no alternatives for resolving our problem'.
By the way, this is not the first time we had problems like this, . The last time we had to appeal to the salesman & the store manager for help?.
It is 9:30 am & we just found out that the tech will be here between 1 & 4.. We'll make sure to roll out the red carpet for him.

I bought a washer a little over a year a go on june23 the washer stop working with my clothes locked up inside of it i called customer service they give me such a hard time just to send a service person just to open the washer so i could take my clothes out they finally send someone when the service person check he said the washer needed some parts which he ordered according to him would take 5 business days it is going on three weeks already each time I called all I am getting is a run around do not have service person in my opinion pc richards stinks i am a very unhappy and disastified customer

PC Richard & Son - they lost a very good customer.
Bought appliances at P C Richard & Son, paying off through my account with them, through GE Money. Paid monthly. When attempting to pay the full amount in order to avoid the interest, was informed on the phone that the bill was incorrect and I owed $50 less than the bill was stating. I asked the woman to take the full amount and refund later if this was the case. She refused, repeatedly, and only would take what she said was due. I told her, then, I'm not paying anything else, and I better not get charged any interest, .
Next bill said I owed $50:. plus the year's interest/. I called P C Richard & Son and explained, and said even though I was furious this happened, I'd pay the $50 I did owe, but they insisted I owed the interest.. I told them they'd get $50 or nothing". After repeatedly harassing me by phone, they've reported me to all the credit bureaus?. They lost a very good customer for $50, . Beware of this tactic.

I purchased a Whirlpool Washer (still under warranty) that takes 90 minutes plus to do a medium load. They tell me this is normal. PC Richard & Son - i called p c richard & son again and they sent yet another &repairman& out, but without a new lock.
My Samsung washer has not worked since the Middle of July. The first man stayed only 20 min. and told me that he couldn't do anything because I had not writen down the "code" from my display screen. There was not a code, never was. The display screen just said "does not drain, call service".
The next repair man decided that it was the pump. I had to wait a week before that part came in". I was told that they would call me, which they never did so I called the next Mon|. only to be told that the part had come in the prievious Thursday, .
The next repair man brought the new pump, took the top and front off the machine, but only with the help of my Superintendent and my porter;. He replaced the pump but did not stay long enough to check to see if it was working properly|. He left my machine out in the middle of the floor so my Super'. and porter had to push the washer back and found that the repairman had broken the lock when he took the front off?. I called P C Richard & Son again and they sent yet another "repairman" out, but without a new lock. That had to be ordered so another week went by. When the repair man finally instulled the new lock he found that the machine still did not work, it was the same "does not drain" message. He told me it was the the computer board which he would have to order, the manager Pat at my P C Richard & Son Paramus has been trying his best to help me but it seems that the repair service has all the leverage and he has not been able to get them to resolve the problem. They told him that they had only been out two times, which is blantly untrue! They have been to my home five times.
I have spent over $40, 000 with P.C. Richard & Son over the years because I bought all my appliances from them when I did two major renovations. Everything from my Sub-Zero, to my 5 air-conditioners to my 3 different microwave ovens to my washer and dryer. The only reason I purchased from P C Richard & Son was because they advertise that they have their own repairmen.
I have been treated so badly, that it is nothing less that totally outrageous

Never ever buy a GE product! Especially at P C RICHARD & SON The worst experience you could ever imagine! First, GE Products have a history of at least past 3 years of extremely poor quality control. Over a 96% premature failure rate!
Sears is an authorized distributor/dealer of just about every name brand appliance available! We have been so happy with this local Sears store and the unbelievable knowledgeable customer experiences we have received! We have purchased over $20k with them, and that should speak for itself!
They have a small awesome appliance department staffed by about 3 very courteous, extremely knowledgeable, wonderful people who live in the local community. They would never recommend or sell you anything that would be troublesome. They also take the time to research both the product feedback, and price matching for us and everyone we have recommended to them for the past several years without having to ask.

I am highly disappointed in the service of your company. I own several appliances purchased from P C Richard & Son that are General Electric appliances. I will not be purchasing any others from there. I have recommended several people to the store, who have also made purchases. I have also completed complaint forms on line. I am also disturbed that I am unable to speak with someone about the matter and rectify it in a timely manner. With that, I need to keep rescheduling appointments. Not getting a satisfactory response is unacceptable. I also do not understand why there are no schedules for Saturdays, when people know that others have to work during the week, as well as maybe on weekends. I no longer want a repair. I feel a new stove is in order. If the part installed did not work, then the stove is inoperative. Therefore, a new stove is warranted, and it is under warranty. How many times is the same part going to be changed? How long will I continue to be unable to cook in the manner in which I'm accustomed? It is now six weeks and I still have no oven! I am disgruntled, disappointed, and dissatisfied!

Broke the exhaust pipe while installing a new dryer - We had a very unfortunate, incompetent mistake happen with our dryer installation on Thursday, that could have caused the death of our whole family. The installers crushed the exhaust pipe and broke the gas line valve and did not even mention it to me! This caused the gas to escape into the house. I arrived home after work on Friday, to the gas smell and was smart enough to call PSEG. The whole house would have blown up. I want to discuss compensation with the president of P C Richard & Son or the legal team! I have pictures of everything that was broken and damaged

If you need to buy something but good luck if something should go wrong. Their return/exchange program is impossible to navigate. James (store mgr) seems to be "in charge" and he is a compete ### with zero customer service skills.
Here is what happened. I purchased a Frigidaire air conditioner and the compressor died a year later. Store is willing to replace it (with a $50 delivery fee even though I live 3 blocks away) but they insist on picking up broken one at the same time. They can give me a delivery date but not a time. It's the middle of fall in NJ and they want me to take out the unit now to have it ready for pick-up even though that will leave a hole in the window. PC Richard & Son - p c richard & son for installation of after market car alarms as they don't seem to know.
The installation was supposed to take one hour, and it took almost 4. When I prepared to leave, the alarm kept going off almost immediately after starting the engine and starting to drive away. It took the installer three tries to finally complete an installation which appeared to operate properly. Four and a half months later my headlights and taillights stopped working, so I took the car to the dealership. They quickly diagnosed that the alarm had been tapped into the wrong wires, causing a short circuit and blowing the fuses. They corrected the installation and replaced the blown fuses. They fixed it but it cost $120.56. I am still trying to negotiate a refund of my repair expenses. If they fail to make full restitution I will take P C Richard & Son to small claims court. They will have to send a lawyer to defend which will be much more expensive than reimbursing me. I have all receipts and a statement by the dealer of the problem and repair. I would recommend avoiding P C Richard & Son for installation of after market car alarms as they don't seem to know all they need to know to complete the installation properly
