Dollar Tree

So my wife and I went into the Dollar Tree Store # 3948 on 1265 El Paseo Rd in Las Cruses, NM. [protected] to do some very quick shopping. In that time we both had to use the restroom. Their were two restrooms, one for employees which was locked, and the other for customers in which you needed to get a key for the restroom. My wife and I had to wait to use the customer restroom being that someone was already in there. After that person had come out my wife went in and use the restroom. After she came out I went into the restroom. She had told me there was no toilet paper in the restroom so she went and spoke to an employee whom claimed she was the manager whom was a tall black lady with curly hair. She told the employee/manager that their was no toilet paper for the restroom. The manager said to my wife that if she (my wife) got it off the shelf that my she (my wife) would have to pay for it which is completely very bad customer service to make customers pay for toilet paper for "Store Use" in their restroom. So the manager did not stop what she was doing to get toilet paper. The manager could have said something like, "I'm sorry ma'am. Let me get some for you for the restroom." But instead told my wife that she had to pay for it. Very bad customer service.! So my wife got it off the shelf and went back to the restroom and gave it to me, All The Meanwhile I am here in the restroom.

So let me tell you about the restroom. The entire restroom was a complete disgrace! I was very appalled by the looks of the restroom. Upon entering I saw toilet paper rolls on the floor of the restroom, I sat down on the ugly dirty toilet and notice toilet paper on the floor and a ball of wet toilet paper underneath the sink and the floor was not mopped at all. it was completely filthy. After sitting there, I noticed a black ring inside the very dirty sink and writing on the wall. After getting off the toilet and flushing there was also a very black ring inside the toilet as well. That Restroom looked very neglected like it was not taken care of for months. It truthfully looked like a very nasty gas station restroom.

So after leaving the restroom, we went to the register to pay for our items. I had mention to the clerk, whom name is Simon, about the restroom needing attention and he could care less about what I said. He did not say anything back to me after I told him about the restroom. You know a nice jester would have been to say "Thank you for letting me know. We'll get it taken care of right away." but he said nothing!

SO here's the thing... if you are employed at that store, it's the job of All Employees, Including The Store Manager On Duty, to clean the restroom. it does not matter what your job title is at the store, your seniority, and what you are currently working on, it's the job of ALL EMPLOYEES to help clean the restroom including the manager. When someone puts in a complaint about the restroom at the store it should be taken care right away/immediately. And not only that throughout the day the restroom needs to be check for cleaning and toilet paper and after the store closes it should be cleaned as well and ready for the next business day. This restroom was not taken of for days or possibly weeks. It was so super gross inside. Not to mention there is no air freshener of any kind in the restroom. No canned air freshener or no wall mount air freshener. I hope this gets passed on to all employees whom work at that store and the head store manager should be written up for not taken care of this issue as part of his/her duties at the store.
