I lost my medication Metoprolol in my residence, how it disappeared, I do not know. I called the above Pharmacy store, informed them and requested for another refill. The pharmacist asked me to call my health Insurance for an override. I did, they promised to contact the pharmacy. All processes completed, the above pharmacy called me to pick up medication on Saturday Feb, 20th 2021 at 12PM. Getting to the pharmacy for the pick up, the pharmacist denied she did say so that I can pay $22.00 instead to have the medication. A passerby customer intervened on my behalf. Arguments started over delay of payment for following day. On the long run, the pharmacist said she could give me only one tablet for the day, and return the following day with the $22.00 to pick up the rest of the medication and after that, she added quote "I'll make sure I'll take you out of this location" end of quote. For what I asked? and hit my hand on the customer counter.
She handed me the one tablet of the medication. Security officers of the Target were invited, and they escorted me out of the Store.
On getting home to take the one tablet she, the pharmacist gave me, it does not look like Metoprolol. On Monday February 22, 2021 I took the medication in the bottle she gave me with it to two different CVS pharmacists in different locations in the Bronx who confirmed that the medication is a wrong medication; it is Atorvastatin instead of Metoprolol.
My desirable resolution is that, that pharmacist be removed as she constitutes a danger to customers and to the community. I could not see her badge to read her name; but the Supervisor of that location will know the pharmacist that was on duty on that Saturday February 20th, 2021
This is the second time I have been given wrong medication in that location.
