This has been an ongoing issue for about a month. I've been kicked out of dollar general several times now because I was wearing a drawstring backpack. The bag usually contains my FPV headset, my tablet, my SSD for FPV footage, my drone, and whatever other electronics I might need that day. The first time it was a male cashier who told me I had to leave it by the door. There is not a chance I'm leaving over a thousand dollars worth of stuff by the door, so I had to leave. A week or so later I went back to buy cat food, got all the way through the store, and was told to leave at the cash register, and then to not come back. I have never stolen, I have never said anything to anyone for any reason, and there is nothing posted anywhere that says I cannot wear a back pack in the store. This is at the Dollar General on Valley pike in Dayton, Ohio zip code 45404.
Desired outcome: I would like to know if I am officially tresspassed, and if so, why?

OP you are not unfortunately i have to do the same at CVS. many shop lifters in the past have used personal bags [purses, back packs, string bags] as a way of stealing. to combat this companies ask that it is left by the door so they can ensure no one [yes even innocent people] don't steal. i have had to do it since around 2014 for my local drug store JUST to go into the back for my prescription. i have learned though if you ask them they will hide your bag behind the counter if you are concerned. i was doing shopping for the holiday and had a gift in mine that i did not want stolen and they graciously let me hide it behind the counter. Though not every store might be as accommodating.
my advice is to leave the store as last thing of the day and leave your bag at home when you go that way you dont have to leave it all up front. i use earbuds for my headphones, that way i can just quickly put them in my pocket and do what i need. my bag is a camel pack fyi so all a thief would steal is water. hope this helps OP.
