I recently purchased a entry door. I had a glass storm door on the outside that I liked very much and wanted to keep. My door was functional and looked very nice. It had some weather wear and tear, but nothing that stopped it from being very functional as it had been for the few years that I had it. I paid for the new door and installation and I also paid for the storm door that I had to be put back on after installation of the new door. The installer came while I was at work as I had left the door unlocked for him to do the job (too trusting). He, Mr. Doorboy called me at work and told me that my door was broken and I need to buy another one. The door WAS NOT broken when I left the house. It was still functioning as it had always done. I told him to put my door back on and that I would not be buying another one. He chose not to do so. When I got home, my storm door was placed on the side of my house like junk and pieces of it were left on my living room floor. HE BROKE MY DOOR and told installation services that it was already broken. When I called I was told that usually you compensate for the broken door. I waited for someone to come take a look as the person said that it would take 24 hrs. No one came. Today, I called to inquire what was going on and was basically called a liar and told my door was broken and I needed proof that it wasn't. I was in a shouting match with Chase because he was basically shutting me down and telling me I needed to buy a new door. He claimed there was a refund sent because the installer did not put the door back on. I never received any refund. I am appalled at this bad service. My entry way does not look any better. He made trash out of my property and lied and said that it was broken. An honest person would not have left his work that way. If someone was to look at it they would see that it was broken by the installer. I took pictures of it. My neighbors know that nothing was wrong with my door. I want to be made whole. I wish I had not paid for the door before the work was done. Marcia Garrison
Desired outcome: I want my door replaced or repaired. I also want the compensation that I was made aware of the first time I called. I want my doorway to look nice again.
