Employees have 2 chairs and a table set up on the sidewalk that customers use to get from parking lot to door of store. They sat with their legs out and smoking cigerattes so the customers have to walk over their feet and through the smoke to get to the door or they have to step out in the parking lot to avoid this. I have asked the manager a couple of times to have the employeees move yesterday july 8, 2003 I spoke to her again about this problem and she told me that she had other problems and the only compromise that she would make is to move the employees to the other side of the store (still on sidewalk and close to front door and that I and any one else could just park on the east side of the parking lot if we did not want to walk in smoke. Having said this I agree that employees are entitled to take a break and smoke cigerattes if they so desire, but as a paying customer I feel that I have the right to walk in the store without having to breathe second hand smoke and take a chance on tripping over their feet and legs. I think that they should have a smoking area at the back of the store so as not to interfer with customers. I do not live far enough away from wal-mart, albertsons, and numereous dollar general stores to have to be treated as someone that does not matter to this store manager. I know that I as one customer will not be any problem if she lost my business (and she did) but we are a small community and word gets around. I have a video showing but it is longer than you will accept and I don't know how to make it shorter
Desired outcome: To remove employee smoking area to back of store or to the side of the store so customers are not subjected to their second hand smoke
Dollar General - Entire store
colbert, oklahoma store has bare shelves the stock is piled up and down the aisles until you cannot walk through the store. This needs to be fixed or shut the store down at one time the store had a manager but the district manager deciedd that hey needed to send her to another store and ever since this store has gone down hill so bad that there is really no need in going into the store unless you are going to go get someting that is vendor stocked because the product from the general store warehouse is just sitting in the aisle of the store never touched
Desired outcome: stores problems fixed back to the way it use to be when the store actually had p a manager and a district manager that cared about the storeeople that cared
Waste time and gas to come to a store that may or may not be open or if it's open you can't get down the isle. Pull your head out and hire enough people to do the job.. as of now I'm just going back to Walmart. Save yourself a wasted trip and just go to Walmart.
