Dollar General - Tobacco product. Incompetent cashier and manager

Ref - 7/11/22 DG. Store #17224 manager John...

Apon cashing out I asked the cashier for 2 packs of marlboro 100 red. She then asked for ID which I provided. As I picked up my bag I noticed that not only did she not get me 2 packs but also gave me the wrong cigarettes (not what I asked for). 1 pack of the wrong brand of cigarettes... so I said you gave me the wrong ones and handed her the pack... she then called out manager John to ask what she should do. Manager John told me we do not refund Tabacco products. I said I would like to exchange them your employee gave me the wrong ones... (this all took place at the check out I never went outside with the cigarettes or my bag) even though it was his employee that made the mistake he argued with me and refused to exchange for the correct product and forced me to buy them. I asked for his bosses name and number. He never did tell me there name and said I will get you the number if I can find it. By this time things were getting really heated and figured I would leave before it escalated any further.

Bottom line... I did not make the mistake. I did not leave the store and return after the fact. His employee made a mistake and I was forced to pay out of my pocket for that mistake... this is no way to do business or to treat a regular everyday customer since this store opened. I feel I should get a personal apology and be refunded my money for the pack of cigarettes I was forced to buy.. I will never shop there again and will definitely let everyone I know how I was treated by manager John.

Desired outcome: 1) I would like a apology. 2) I would like my money refunded for the cigarettes I was FORCED to buy. 3) would love to see this guy fired. But will except the 1st two outcomes ..
