I bought some Bose glasses today. They did not have a pair that I bought to try on. I got to my car and tried them on and didn't like the fit. I went back in the store and ask to swap to the tempo. I was told there would be a $37 restock fee. YOU LOST A LONG TERM CUSTOMER OVER $38 DOLLARS. I MIGHT HAVE COME BACK AND SPENT $1500 ON FURNITURE. THE STORE MGR WAS ON VACATION SO I HAD TO DEAL WITH JENNIFER. BASIC ECONOMICS! IT WOULD BE A BIG ZERO IF AVAILABLE
Desired outcome: Train the staff accordingly. It's not about the money, it's the principle.
Conn's Home Plus - unethical behavior/scam professionals
I bought a laptop and garbage disposal at the end of august 2018, I was told by conn's representative in the store the day of purchase that the 12 months 0 finance started from my first payment. I also declined all insurance and took a copy of my homeowners insurance when I purchased these items. I went to pay my balance off which is less than $200 and they told me I owed them $900 because I did not pay it off by the day I signed the contract. Imagine my surprise and how upset I was. This also explains why conn's uses edocs to go over contracts and your signature. As they explain it to you they are not really telling you the truth, they are telling you what they verbally told you and you agreed upon. I now see why conn's has it's name. I will be sending my payment for the balance of which I know I owe and from there turn it over to my attorneys. I just did some research on complaints against conn's and it seems to be a standard practice to lie, manipulate and deceive your customers. This is the 3rd time I have used conn's on the 12 month 0 finance and have never had this issue.
This comment is for Conns on Hulen they sold me a broke tv and didn't take it back the customer service number is just as worse they gave me the run around for four months. I finally reached higher up when they investigated it returned my down payment and taking it off my credit. I had to go back to conns on Hulen to get the money put back on my credit card. During the long process of this situation, the manager and assistant manager Brandi lied the whole time, and the manager was downright rude. But on my return, I made sure they knew who I was. During this visit, I met an associate name Julie Bowman that was very professional and courteous and went out her way to help me get the refund she was understanding and apologize for the issue and talk with me the whole time. I got my money back. Ms. Julie Bowman should be the manager; she has the right personality for the job.
The manager never apologizes or the assistant manager for their actions, which looks bad for the company.
