6/8/21 Purchased strainer and 2 pair sunglasses; Paid cash $3.25. Got to car and noticed one pair of sunglasses was scratched; I had already removed tags. Took glasses and receipt to cashier. She said she could not give refund, but could exchange. Said, "Didn't you notice they were scratched before you bought them? I said apparently not. I got my other pair and at the counter she said,"Did I sell you your sunglasses? I said, no, the lady next to her did. She then went to the manager's door and was speaking with him for a few minutes. They turned and look at me at the same time. All I heard him say is "I'll do it this time". I exclaimed loud enough for them to hear, "It's a dollar! What's the deal?" The manager said, "Didn't you notice they were scratched?" I said, "No!" I wouldn't expect you to sell defective merchandise."At this point I was wondering what the heck is going on here? Do they think I stole them? She rang up my new glasses, had me sign a receipt, and handed me the receipt for the replacement. I told her I had the little labels that I removed from the defective glasses in the car. I left and returned with the labels and told her,"Here are the labels since you thought I stole them" She said she didn't say that, but I told her, by their actions, yes, they had implied that. All this for a pair of 1.00 defective glasses that I returned WITH the receipt. I was humiliated and very angry. My name is Claudia Sanchez/[protected]@yahoo.com. Desired outcome: Address this with the manager and this clerk; a written apology would be appreciated and the way they handle situations needs to be reviewed.
