Lowe's - Whirlpool washer

I bought a whirpool washer from Lowes Midland Texas. I returned it back to the shop within 10 days on 11/15/2023 because it was not working.

I was told they would not take it back because it was more than 48 hours after the purchase. There was no sign or any information about the return policies where this item was displayed. There is no way a customer can know the policy without displaying it where the items were purchased. The receipt has no information about the return policy

The store manager who attended to me lacked compassion and was very rude. I left the appliance at the customer service.
Lowe is holding onto the applicance and my money
I want to appeal to Lowes management to either replace my appliance or return back my hard-earned money.

Thanks.

Hi Ayodele.

We appreciate hearing from you and recognize your frustration.

Unfortunately there are contracts now in place where Lowe's is not allowed to handle the equipment after 48 hours. This does not mean Lowe's is not willing to assist in getting someone out to service your unit if, in fact, that's what is needed.

In additon to this, many locations simply do not have the space to arbitrarily store an appliance for a customer. Whereas your unit was simply "left" at bay, it's possible it is no longer there or that it may not be able to be located.

For your own protection, we'd suggest contacting the specific Lowe's you've left the unit with. Make sure it is still available and arrange to pick it up. At least, this way, you won't be paying for something you don't have.

What exactly is the problem with the unit?
