Unauthorized credit card charges.
I put in a dispute about my vanilla visa gift card. The case number is [protected].the card number is [protected]. Experation date is 06/30, and the security number is 230. I have not received my new card for 500.00 dollars. My daughter Jennifer knapp Dominick put a dispute in for me, Elizabeth knapp, on October 3rd. I myself have put in a few disputes, in December 2022. And in January, February, 2023. My address is 1301 w Whitestone blvd apt 139 Cedar park Texas 78613. My money is gone
I just purchaced a $60 vanilla gift card and went in to check balance said $60. Went to buy something online an hour later and it would not go through.. Went back into Vista and it said 5 or so purchaces had been made right after it was activated. This is the 3rd time this has happened. I am disabled on fixed monthly income and can not afford to lose money like this. And yes I bought from bottom rack in the middle of the stack that was visible to cashier. I can not afford to keep doing this so I will not be buying anymore. I will also tell my friends and family not to buy anymore either or anyone who will listen if I am in a store that sells them. I am attaching a screenshot of my account when brought up and whoever stole my money through paypal. Its not like I can use this card right now anyway.

I haven’t been able to buy anything with my card I called and said that I still had 25$ and I waited thinking it was later available to use I tried and tried and it didn’t work at all I tried in another app didn’t work either and it’s confusing because it still has money I even try calling to see what is the problem and it had me waiting for an hour I tried again and the same thing happened I really need it fixed because I don’t wanna lose all that money mostly if it charged me more now for getting a gift car .

Prepaid Visa Gift Card
$89.75, disappeared from my card today at 4:16 am and showed pending, then at 9:32 am, it was amended to $87.56 and posted all while I slept and the card was locked in my safety box. These people are scammers, don't buy this card. You are not protected. The government needs to do something about them. Years ago there was a class action against them, now their at it again.
A gift card
I was given a gift card from my employer. Someone used half of the $200. balance. You determined that I should be given credit, ticket # [protected]. I received in the mail another card that says, "A gift for you $108.62". When I attempted to use this card, once again someone had used all the credit except approximately $4.00. I called the number on the back of the card and was put through ridiculous stuff and then was asked to give them my bank account card number, which I did not do. I have spent hours and days trying to resolve this and have had no success. The most recent card number is: [protected]. Expiration date is 02/32. The security code is 145. I will NEVER recommend Vanilla to anyone.
Desired outcome: I am owed 108.62 as I did not make the purchase that used up this gift card.

Vanilla Prepaid Gift Card Purchased recently, had February Expiry date which already passed and no online website accepting the card.
I cannot use the card as its shows past expiry date on it.
Vanilla Website shows status full paid amount with Card status = Initialize.

Unauthorized credit card charges
Purchased a $500 gift card from Walgreens. Card was in my possession at all times. That night there were charges made which I discovered after I tried using the card at Walmart the next morning.
Can't get through to customer service.
charges that were unauthroized occured on 4/3/23 throughout the evening and into the morning.
Have tried many many times waiting on hold for hours at a time unable to get through to their customer service.
Desired outcome: Please refund the $500

I received this card as a gift at the end of November 22
I used it on 1/14 a Jewel Osco and there was only 1 cent available on the card!

This company is a joke, and should be fined for taking money and never putting funds on the cards.

Worst gift card ever! Do not buy these. They are a total scam!
They do not work online, are constantly declined, and embasrassing to use.
Read the directions, you can never use the balance, you always have to have at least 20% more on the card than you are charging!
Used $100 Vanilla Visa card for 97.00 dollar purchase on amazon, add as credit card as advised on Vanilla visa site and card was declined.
I hate knowing the gift giver is getting screwed by these guys as the givers intentions are good and they have no clue they were screwed and the customers they are giving these gifts to are frustrated.
How as a business, making the money up front from the charge of the card, all the cards values that go unused, can you not just make it simple to use the card to its capacity? Think about it, you could sell more cards? Just a freaking thought!

Prepaid visa gift card
The vinilla visa gift card was purchased by my 14 year old son who was saving for a pair of boots. Took him to the dollar general in Blanchard, OK where He purchased the card and loaded $130 on it. Before we could even get home and get online to purchase the boots he wanted the card had been used at "Clinique online", I guess to purchase makeup. My wife has been trying to reach the customer service listed on the back of the card for 2 days now but no one answers.
Winn never buy another gift card like this again.

This is a scam Vanilla Gift Card. the card i was given as a gift was not activated, is shows activated on the receipt that i sent in the electronic journal to consummed their email and it was still rejected as they said the receipt was already used by the purchaser (who gave me the card and she did not claim the money). so after 6 months my case was declined.
canada should ban this company so no one else gets issues like i did. the card was bought at walmart

Fraudulent usage of my vanilla visa gift card
I just tried to use my $200 vanilla visa card. I went online to check the balance to be sure I remembered the amount. The vanilla gift card check balance site showed that yes the balance was 200. Within minutes I went to amazon to load my amazon account so I could make a purchase. It was declined. I tried several times thinking maybe I entered wrong. Nope.
I went to vanilla site again and the site itself would not work for this card, it was not a site error because it worked for my other card just fine. I tried and tried and tried. It kept saying to try again.
By the time I got into the site the next day the balance was 200. I did the same thing with amazon. Again declined.
Now today, I can actually see the transactions on vanilla and I see all my transactions declined but there are approved paypal transactions with this: paypal *zhangshaaoj -! Like what the heck, right?
Now I am currently on hold with vanilla for almost an hour and no answers to what happened or how it can happen? Seriously?
Do not by vanilla gift cards. They are not reliable and there is no customer service worthy of the amount of money I have spent on these cards over the years~!
The rep tells me that their policy is that it is like cash and therefore has the same risk. However, how is that possible when the card never left my possession? It has been sitting under my computer keyboard and no one had access to it.
This is crazy. I asked to speak to a supervisor, manager, vice president, ceo anyone and they put me hold and here I sit on hold again!

The Vanilla Gift customer service supervisor said that they are aware of the fake websites that look amazingly like Vanilla's and that customers should type in the web address manually rather than search for it.
I responded that that should be in big giant red letters on the packaging - It is not on the packaging at all.
I am surprised that some agency is not monitoring and cracking down. :(
If you ask me, this is an omission of irresponsible business practice. It should make them liable.
no option for removing hold from cards
so, i dont have a card. i dont like the monthly fees they charge, so i just use vanilla gift cards. they always work fine for me until the status says "ON HOLD your card is unable to be used at this time please immediately call the customer service number on the back of your card."
every time this happens, i ALWAYS call the customer service number but theres literally no option for removing holds on cards etc - like what? you told me to call the number because my card is apparently on hold?

Prepaid Vanilla gift card
I ordered two books from Amazon. I had 55.00 on it. The first one was declined. The second one was paid for$24. Something. The first one was only $11.96. Those don't add up to 55.00. I am told I have 0 balance and it's a invalid card number. I was trying to get a hold of them 3 times yesterday and I was on the phone for an hour. I got in touch once. The man said he couldn't hear me but I heard him fine. He hung up. Now there are 3 charges on the card I didn't place. One is for 1.95, $1.95, and 28. something. I only ordered the two books and I am not receiving one.

My brother bought me a $500.00 Vanilla gift card from Walgreen's on 9/7/2021. in Colorado.
When I went to use it this past November there was a $2.40 balance. The card was still in the packaging and in my possession. I called Vanilla to complain and after waiting the 120 days and dozens of calls they disputed my claim.

I bought the card at Stop and Shop supermarket on Saturday in Falmouth Massachusetts. I made a couple small purchases. Two days later I tried to use it at a restaurant and was declined. I tried calling for nearly 2 hours and when a rep finally answered she told me there was nothing she could do to call back in 7 days. The only info I got from her was $76.56 was used online at draft kings betting site. So just got scammed and feeling frustrated.

My mother in law got me one for Christmas 2022 and when I went to use in February of 2023 it I was put through the most ridiculous hoops in order to activate it. After providing their requested documentation (a driver's license to activate a gift card that someone else paid for? really? that's insane), I was told that I had to provide further documentation being a confirmation of the other cards that were on the receipt, despite already providing the card number that I needed activated.
Don't get me started on the customer service when I tried calling. I waited 30 minutes on hold and when I spoke to a customer service representative it was like speaking to a wall, they kept repeating the same thing over and over again without attempting to provide any resolution and requesting even more documentation. Avoid buying their gift cards at any and all costs.
Desired outcome: I want my gift card activated or a refund provided to the original purchaser.

I received the vanilla card for Christmas from my brother. I am in heart failure and was planning on buying items to help make things more comfortable. I ordered some pillows.
