Vanilla Gift Cards Gift card and prepaid card

These lying * stole all of my money. I had bought a $500 gift card. I paid for one meal for my family that = about $30. Immediately after getting the food (before I even took a bite) I tried to pay for my paramount plus account to be active and there were $0 no funds! They tricked me into thinking I was being on top of the situation. I called before it had even gone through. They told me the money was spent at a mens clothing store in some other state and I told them don't let the payment go through. I didn't buy that stuff and they just let it remain pending for 5 days and then they let the payment go through. They said they would investigate (what I have no clue) and. Called everyday for a few months until they eventually told me that it had been too long. I should have somehow done something sooner - tho for the life of me I can't even imagine what. They said my almost $500 was gone and there was nothing anyone could do about it - there was nothing they could do about it when it was pending. They couldn't have done any kind of investigation because then they would have learned something that I hadn't already found out with 2 hrs of it happening. It's a total scam. The people on the phone talk down to you and they manipulate you into thinking they aren't really going to take $500 away from a needy family... They aren't really going to f* take from a single mother who is struggling. They're going to fix whatever theft or error happened and make it right somehow or at the very least explain why they can't lt won't do anything about it

Vanilla Gift Cards virtual e card

Vanilla Visa put a hold on my vitual card -thiu I could not use the funds.

I did not report unauthorized charges I tried to use the card and was denied I went ionline to check the balance. Thats were I noticed there was a mesage for me that indicated the card was on hold. I have several times in the last week and each tiime Im on the phone up to one hour, I was given two case numbers even thought is one virtual card. each customer service person tells me something differetn.

First I was told that when my refund went back on the card--the on hold would be taken off and I coultd use the card. That did not happen Then I was told I had to wait three business days and I would be contacted by Vanilla Visa-the investigation department. No one contacted me

Then ii was told by customer service that he wwas putting the info in the system and I could expect a replacement card in 7 to 10 days

Then iI was told all informtion would be given to the back order department and today I was told no refund is given on a virtual card and the information would be given to front office management and someone would contact me in 7 to 10 tdays. this is so frustrating . I want the money put back on a virtual card.

Vanilla Gift Cards Vanilla cancelling my card and tthe excessive time it is taking to be contacted by customer service

I used my Vanilla gift card to pay a purchase and the merchant was unable to fill my order and refunded the amount to the card. Vanilla then put a hold on the card--siting possible fraud. I spoke with customer service and identified the charges as well as the merchant would be refunding the caard.

Customer service gave me a case number and told me someone would be contacting me--no one has The card did not need to be cancelled it was not compromised. Now im waiting for someone at vanilla vis to call. what good is customer service if they can not fix the issue . Will never us vanilla visa and would advise others the same

Vanilla Gift Cards Unauthorized Charges

I searched for the Vanilla website to check the balance on my newly opened giftcard. The web took me to a website: vanillagiftcardclub.com. I entered all the card information and said the card is invalid. Finally I went to the right website and it showed that there was already a transaction in the card which I didn't make. Now my balance is only $15 left out of $75. I tried calling customer service line but could not get a hold of a person. How can I file fraudulent transactions on vanilla giftcard?

Desired outcome: I need my money back and they should be able to track fraudulent activities on the card. There is no security on the cards. And no email to contact customer service or their service sucks.

Vanilla Gift Cards Scam

I have the card. And it showed that purchase stuff in new york and calforina which I did not even use the card. I was suppose to get a email about a dispute which I never received. My email address is jose, [protected]@att.net the card# is [protected] exp is 06/31 and the pin on the back is 121. I bought this at walgreens and spent 475 on the card and there is not a dime on the card that I used. The whole card was hack. I would like my money back. This is so disappointing. That you customer service person did not even send me a email

Vanilla Gift Cards Gift card

On January 19, 2023 I purchased a 200.00 vanilla gift card for my daughter's birthday. I mailed it 2nd day air on 1/19/2023 to my daughter. She attempted to use it a few days later. And it read "Card Error". Upon looking at the card, the middle numbers of the account number were missing and/or scratched out. We have attempted to call the company several times, with being on hold for hours. We have gotten zero help.

Vanilla Gift Cards Gift card

I received the card as a gift and was never able to make a purchase with the card. It would not work online. I call for assistance. I was told to try at a different store and if it continued to not work, I would be issued a replacement. Needless to say, it’s been a month. I call today complaining that I am not able to make a purchase with this card and would like a replacement. This issue is an ongoing issue. The lady places me on hold over and over again. When she finally speaks to me, she says, ‘try to make a purchase at a different store’ WHAT! I just told you! That is what I’ve done and for a month.. it doesn’t work! I’m completely livid! $200 wasted! This is horrible customer service. If nothing can be done, then the person who gifted me the card should, at the least, receive their money back because he’s been robbed!

Desired outcome: Refund/replacement.. good customer service would be a great start.

Vanilla Gift Cards Vanilla Gift Card

I am writing in regards to my vanilla gift card. It was given to me as a gift on January 24th, 2023.

I tried to use it on January 28th, 2023 and said it was already used and 2.50 was left on it.

When I opened the card everything looked to be intact and nothing unusually about the packaging.

I would like to have the amount given to me in another card.

I received a gift card for Christmas on the 23rd of December and once it was activated I was scammed and my gift card balanced got sent to a paypal account that I did not authorize or had knowledge of until I tried to make a purchase.attached I added the purchase of gift card. The purchase of gift card, the activation date and when the gift card was stolen and sent to an unknown PayPal account.

Vanilla Gift Cards My web account with them

I created a VanillaGift.com web account in the understanding that I could combine multiple gift cards (ie. the remaining balance on one card to another active gift card). Once I had the web account created, I found this was not possible. Therefore, the web account is of no use to me.

I attempted to delete/cancel my web account. However, there is NO means on the VanillaGifts.com website to do so. There are a couple of telephone numbers to call (ie. customer support) BUT no one understands how to delete/cancel the web account... after 2 hours on hold and multiple agents and supervisors, I was repeatedly told "there is no ID for your account"; "you can do it yourself"; "we don't access to your account"; on-and-on; basically a run-around to keep my email address on their files (for future SPAM I'm sure).

These folks are fraudulent and their web site is geared to capture your personal and financial information.

There customer support folks are "reading from scripts only" and act "dumb" otherwise when you logically spell out to them what needs to be done.

Desired outcome: My vanillagift.com web account to be deleted/canceled/wiped from the Vanillagift.com webservers.

Vanilla Gift Cards Visa gift card

I paid for a card at Walgreens and loaded $70. Haven't been able to use it and now the money was stolen through eBay somehow. I'm a single dad. I have bills like everyone else, and I'm active-duty military. This kind of crap should not go unanswered for, and I hope these fraudulent [censored] rot in a cell for taking from people in need. This was money to feed my daughter in me.

Desired outcome: My damn money back and these cards shutdown everywhere.

Vanilla Gift Cards Unable to use card due to fraud activity.

I was given this $25 Vanilla Gift card in March of 2020. I tried to use it a couple of times after that, but the transaction was always declined. I thought I needed to activate it before using it again, then forgot about having the card entirely until today. I went to the web site which was no help, then called the [protected] # to check the balance, which to my suprise was 5 cents! Apparently some one had accessed the card for a purchase. I called that number back & sat on hold for about 20 minutes waiting to speak to a customer service rep before hanging up. Tried to call again & after being on terminal hold for a second time decided that Vanilla had wasted enough of my time. I found this site by accident & came to realize what a fraud this company is, & how I was one of the "lucky" ones to be out a measley $25. Warning for others: DO NOT purchase Vanilla Visa Gift cards - they are a rip off!

Desired outcome: I would like to have the original sum of $25 refunded to the card.

I received 2 vanilla visa gift cards worth $500 on each card. I made a few different transactions with the first one and then it just stopped working. It was getting declined left and right. I went online to check the balance and it said there was a system error. I then called the number on the back of the card to check the balance and it said $306 left. I then tried to use it again, it was declined. I called the number again to check the balance and this time it said "There is a problem with your card".
I tried calling the customer service for help multiple times but no answer. I then decided to use the other gift card right away and cashout the full balance because of this issue.
Bottom line: do not buy any vanilla visa gift cards. Everyone prefers cash anyway.

Desired outcome: Company needs to shut down and stop scamming people, give me my money back.

I purchased 20 gift cards two of the cards were useless. I have been trying to get in touch with the company. I have two hundred dollars on these cards. That I cannot use. I have tried calling, the email address is useless. I even called the bank that handles the cards for Vanilla. I had to purchase more cards to replace the two that were useless. I have tried to use the card

but the cards are useless.. How long do I have to sit on useless cards

When I called the number I was told that some one would call me that never happened. If this company is going to sell cards they need to be responsible. They need a email account that is user friendly. I purchased the cards at Safeway, thy could not help me. I want my money for the cards

Desired outcome: I would like Vanilla to take responsibility for their cards. The cards had had been used before packaging. Pay me the two hundred plus the 1190 fee for the cards..

My 13 year old son has received a vanilla gift card from a family member for christmas. He had been using to buy credits for his xbox games. He went to use it on yesterday and discovered he did not have the funds available, we checked account and saw where someone used the last of his funds on the card. I googled company and it is something with instagram stock we do not use or have instagram so how they got hold to his e card is puzzling to us. I immediately called customer service of vanilla to report the fraud on the account and I was on hold for 45 minutes before I talked to shelia who was not understanding and was rather rude, she said it would take up to 3 months to clear up, I asked why so long cause a child don't understand that. She took all of the information finally and said we would get an email to fill out and return shortly. The night went on and half of the next day and still no email so I had to call back on today 01-19-2023 and remain on hold again for an hour and reexplain everything and give her (melva) the reference// dispute number and she sent email. When I opened all it had was where I sign my name. I called again and waited for 45 minutes to see where questions for dispute were and got no response, asked for name and got no answer> when I asked for corporate number she said she did not understand what I was saying, finally she said we are located in southeast asia. I proceeded to ask for physical address and she gave me an address on 250 william street in atlanta ga 30303

My child is heart broken and I am getting lied to and being given the run around I do not know how people can be so heartless with a child's gift

Desired outcome: want the 53.00 issued back to my child in the form of a physical card or by a check

Vanilla Gift Cards I want the money back that was taken from my visa

I have been trying to contact vanilla gift visa for 2 days, I have a charge on my card that I did not authorize, I have been on hold for hours and their system apparently is down, Can someone please help me with this matter? I've been on their website and called 2 different customer service numbers, even tried chatting with them online and they want money to fix my problem. I will never use vanilla gift visa again.

Received a $200 gift card from my employer. Tried to use it and purchase did not go through. Called 7/08/2022, CS said it had been used to purchase from google. CS said just $120 left. I have never used it. They said they would send some paper work to submit a claim. Could take months. Issued a case number.

Seven months later no paper to submit a claim. Called 1/1//23 and stayed on hold 30 minutes and my call was disconnected.

Going to FTC.

Vanilla Gift Cards Got this card as a gift and I can’t use it.

Got this card as a gift can’t remember who give it me. Try to use it for an Amazon order. Order declined. That is when I found out that the card wasn’t activated at the store at the time of purchase. Since I didn’t remember who give me the card I can go back an ask for the receipt. Customer Service wasn’t helpful because they want the receipt to proof I didn’t steal the card. won’t tell me if the card has been use. They need to have some protection against these type of situations.

Vanilla Gift Cards Want my 250.00 refund as promised

I have submitted receipts from July 2022 and all necessary documents that my gift card for 250 was fraudulently spent. This was bought at dollar general and I believe as soon as the card was scanned, the funds were gone before I even used it and reported this right away. I have all the receipts. I never got to use the funds nor have I received my refund. They lied and said they were in receipt of my request, then emailed stating they do not have any claim under my name. I have done this twice. For the first 3-4 weeks when I called I was given 4 different companies to call, first truist bank, then Meta, with wrong numbers given multiple times for each bank. Each rep told me that it was companies that ran Vanilla gift cards and to call those other banks. Finally after I realized those were lies, I called vanilla, got a claim number and started sending the information. To date, no refund. I am a disabled person, I have no job and between this 250.00 that I was using to pay bills has left me in an extremely difficult position. I have done everything possible It doesn't seem like a lot to them but 250.00 for somehow who has not a dime is an enormous loss.
