I pray the hackers will be caught and my money will be refunded.
Why did paypal take all of my money out of my vanilla gift visa?! My brother gifted me this card for Christmas! Im suffering from heart failure and needed that money for my care. Something needs to be done. Now vanilla's website will not show the invoice that shows PayPal taking all my money out.. I pray something can be done and I can get my money back. Thank you Roland Mullins
Visa gift card
I was given a Vanilla Visa gift card for my retirement in October. I did not take it out of the package until sometime in November and I went online to activate it and it has already been used. It was a $150 gift card and there was 68 cents left on it.
It was purchased from Walgreens on 10-25-22, confirmation #[protected] and then used online on 10-31-22. It was never even taken out of the package, not sure how they would have gotten the security code. I have attached for history on this card in a photo.
Desired outcome: I would like to be reimbursed for the $150
Complaint
I received a $50 vanillagift card as part of a Christmas gift. Using it for an online purchase has been impossible. A friend tried to help me, but that didn't prove successful either. I don't have a means to purchase except online and my finances are such that gift cards are greatly appreciated. This one is a nightmare. I tried yesterday to complete a purchase. No luck.
My $500.00 in a check I can deposit into my bank account as I cannot trust vanilla gift cards.
Over 2 years ago I had purchased a Visa Vanilla gift card. The numbers had worn off before I was able to use it. I contacted them about a replacement, but told them to keep my card active. The Customer service deactivated it against my wishes. They then said I would need to wait for the replacement and it would take a few weeks. The card never came. I called again. They said they needed more information. They then said the card would take a month to get there. It never came. I called again. They said I now need to email the information. After emailing who I was directed to, they said I had to email another department. I went back and forth departments a few times. Now, 2 years later I finally got the card. But now the card cannot be used as there is something wrong. I have spent years emailing, as well as over 10 hours on the phone with customer service. I still do not have my $500.00. They need to be held responsible for this theft.
Desired outcome: And an apology from a CEO. Attached are photos of the old and new card. My email is [protected]@gmail.com
Vanilla visa gift card (on receipt as thk u grn $50-$100)
I purchased this card yesterday, january 11 2023 (receipt picture provided) so that I could order some things online. As you can see from the photo of my receipt, the card was for $100 and I paid the $5.95 fee to have it activated. The card has been declined, not only from the website I was ordering purchases from, but also was declined when I tried to use it through another site to see if it was only one retailer that was not letting me use the card, and it also says "insufficient funds." I can see from my receipt that I had loaded $100 onto the card (picture provided). I have tried to check the balance of the card online but the check balance tool on the website is not responding! I have called the 1800 number on the card and cannot check balance and when I try to access customer service no human ever comes on the line to speak to. Not only am I out $105.95, but I still don't have the purchases I needed (for my children, picture provided).
Desired outcome: REPLACEMENT THAT WORKS OR REFUND!!!!!!!!
Processing fee to be credited back to me.
I placed an order with Vanilla Gift Card on 12/22. I called back because I forgot to put in the promotion code to waive the $2.95 fee. It took them a while to answer my call. The representative created case # [protected]. I called today on 1/12/23 and was told they closed the case without notifying me.
This is bad customer service. I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH VANILLA GIFT CARD AGAIN!
BAD BUSINESS.
Desired outcome: I would like the $2.95 credited back to me.
Vanilla Visa Gift Card
I have bought a Vanilla Visa gift card and from the start I couldn't check my balance because there was a system error on the website. I've called and tried to reach out, but nobody picks up and I stay on hold for hours. I went back to Walgreens where I had bought the Vanilla Visa Gift Card and they told me I did not have an account for the card, and it was no longer their problem but the company Vanilla Visa Gift Card. I've been calling the numbers [protected] and [protected] for the past few days and I've waited on the line for somebody to pick up, but nobody does. I need to get it fixed or get a refund because I have put $140 into the card, and it is not fair that I don't get to spend MY money.
Desired outcome: refund or fix the issue
I am in the same situation, Waiting my money to be returning from Dec 17th 2022, today they told me to call them back next Tuesday (Jan/17th), this is a disappointed situation for me.
I would like to be refunded for this gift card.
I was given a Vanilla Gift Card worth $50.00 for Christmas. I have tried using the card three times - each time the card was declined. Today January 10,2023 I tried using the Gift Card again... it was declined. I decided to call the number on the back of the card to resolve the issue. Once connected I spoke with a gentleman with an Indian accent, who informed me that I had to set the card up with using a Pin. I said okay; how do I do that. He said that he needed my address and phone number which I gave to him. Then he asked for the sixteen numbers on the Gift Card, expiration date and three diget security code. I gave him this information. Then he tells me that I was a lucky winner for a $100.00 Gift Card along with the $50.00 gift Card. That's when he connected me with a automation system asking me the same questioins he asked. Once I repeated the information to the machine, the gentleman comes back on and ask me for my email address and birthday — which I declined to give him. I was getting angry and told him... all I want you to do is activate my $50.00 gift card and I wasn't interested in a $100.00 gift card. He insisted that he needed my email and birthday to activate my $50.00 gift card. I told him I wasn't going to give him that kind of information and this sounded like a sacm, he hung up on me. Come Vanilla Gift Card get your act together. After looking at all the complaints about you Card why don't you guys do something. Your cards a being SCAMED and if you guys are getting a "horrible" reputation. I will never buy a Vanilla Gift Card and will insure that all my Social Media friends are alerted to this SCAM! Shame, Shame on you for allowing your customers to be SCAMED!
Desired outcome: Please respond to my comment to prove that you actually care about what's going on with you Gift Cards.
Ya I had the same thing happen to me...all I wanted was my card off hold but this idiot hung up on me twice.. I finally well hope I got the right place to find out why and this person told me 7-10 days I would get a new one ..like I believe these idiots...I'll never buy another one or recommend it to anyone..all I wanted was my card to work but I get nothing..if I don't get it in 7-10 days god help them because I will cuss worse than a marine.. and report their [censored] to the BBB.
save when you buy 3 cards at once SCAM
I'm STILL looking for the saving. I bought a 3 pack just before Christmas and have yet to see any saving on this purchase. It's a SCAM. Bought this product at CVS and NO ONE could explain this misleading advertising. I went ahead with the purchase anyway thinking I could follow up with the company afterwards. There is NO WAY to call them to resolve this issue.
Desired outcome: I would like to receive the saving that was offered on the 3 pack.
$100 vanilla gift card
Purchased the $100 vanilla giftcard for my son for Christmas. When he went to use the card it said there was an issue with the card. We called on three different occasions to try and speak to a customer care rep and was not able to get through. We were on hold for approx 35 minutes and called two different numbers. We purchased the gift card at Walgreens on Dec 11. He attempted to use the card on Jan 6.
Thank you
Desired outcome: Please refund
Replace card and $300.00 balance
Card #[protected] Security #545
I received a Vanilla Visa gift card for Christmas. I have tried numerous times to use it for purchases. In checking for the balance today you indicate I have a zero balance. The form states today I made a purchase $150 at 2:41PM and another purchase for $150.00 also at 2:41. I have not been able to make any purchases with this card and now it looks like you have stolen the $300.00.
I have attempted to call your customer service @ 833/322-6760 several times and have got nothing but voice mail instructions which are invalid for this problem. No one ever answers the phone.

Visa vaniila gift card
My gift card was charged falsely by Pay Pal. They corrected it and paid Visa back 10-10-2022. I still havent received any refund. My case number is [protected].When I call its a useless waste of time with wait times and lack of information. Just stall tactics. Ridiculous! I sent the dispute packet form via FAX last October. Please tell me what other information you need. The case number is on file with Visa. I spoke with one of their phone reps on Oct. 23 at 9:30 AM and they said it was approved. just more beaurocratic lies.
Desired outcome: Refund for $20.11 !! They should send me a new card for stated amount. The old card is void. Card number is [protected].
Vanilla gift card ($100)
I received the card in the mail as a gift from my mother-in-law a few days before Christmas. I did not even open the packaging until last Saturday, Jan 7, when I attempted to use it for the first time at a local store, and was told that it only had approximately seven dollars (and change) remaining of the supposed one hundred dollars vale. When I called the number provided on the back of the card, I was allowed to hear a list of previous (fraudulent) charges dating from the 24th of December (when my card was still in its packaging on my kitchen table.) I have not been able to reach anyone about this via telephone. I also tired to contact the issuer online, but their .url seems to be non-functional. I
Desired outcome: I would, of course, like the remaining $92+ returned to me, as it is my rightful property.
Activate my two cards. Or return my money...
I am 83 years old and can't get around much. I buy your cards every year for games.
I did so again this year, started with a $25 card. when I tried to use it to buy chips on Face book, they told me it was not acceptable and being held up at Vanilla cards etc. I have been working with them and doing everything they ask for 2 weeks (?) I still didn't get it fixed. They had me give them a new Home address and Billing address, even though it was the same as it was last year. They had me change my Password about 15 times and they still want me to do it.
I needed the card so I bought another one a $50 card. Yep, your right! The same runaround is still going on except with 2 cards. I need those cards open to be used as that is the max I can spend on cards per a year.
Thank you very Much for any help you can give!
Desired outcome: PleaseAt my age (83) no picture taken of me in many years.I just tried to log into your sign-up sheet
150 dollar gift card
I received this card as a gift December 2021.
I have tried everything this company has asked me to do! I can’t get this card activated. I have called cannot get through or line is busy or I have to wait. I have waited 3 hours and never spoke to anyone. Their recording doesn’t have an activation button. I also tried the website and my number which was correct was not acceptable. Type in first 8 numbers and it was not applicable.
Desired outcome: Refund $150.00
Restore the card so it can be depleted by the recipient appropriately.
Got card for xmas 2022 $100. Used it once to put $50 of gas in my car. Now the card is not working. There is $50 that is just stolen by Vanilla because their cards do not work.
Not sure why there is a "desired outcome" section, since there is no place to put my contact information to resolve this theft by Vanilla Gift Card.
I would also like to understand why there is no customer service for these gift cards. A useless customer service number where nobody answers - ever.
This is consumer theft by Vanilla Gift Cards and fraud.
My son also has a Vanilla Gift Card, but I am afraid he won't be able to use it.
Is there a secret to making sure you do not steal money from consumers and only allow one use out a a gift card.
I have provided a photo of the card AND the security code.
Desired outcome: Vanilla Gift Card was paid $100 for this card - yet you are keeping half of that. That is FRAUD AND THEFTcontact: [edited]
Gift card balance
Originally, the gift card was $200. I spent 150 the balance should have $50 and went to use but was declined of insufficient funds. Got a vanilla visa card for $50 and it won't work
I got a vanilla for my BD. tryed to use it and said it had a problem. Went on line and followed the instructions and said the same thing. Then called the # on the card. It took 56mibns for them to answer. They wanted me to send me a copy of my license, and a copy of the vanilla visa card. She wanted my name, date of birth, and email address. I was told they would then send me a replacement in about two weeks. These question are not normal nor is asking someone to send a copy of their license. The card was for $50. Is there anyone that could help?
Desired outcome: Would like to get the money back
Visa gift card
I received a vanilla visa gift card and tried to use it online but it wouldn’t work. So I called customer care 3 different times on three different days and made sure it was during normal business hours. The first two times I had to hang up after 30 minutes in hold with no one answering. The third time I waited over an hour with no one answering and had to give up again. I’ll try again when I have more time to waste on this garbage company. By the way, I have a feeling they make it really, really painful to get help knowing that most people will give up on such a terrible inconvenient process and then Vanilla can just keep the money on the gift card once it expires.
Desired outcome: Answer your damn phone or reply to an email.
I would like to understand how to get this card to work
I tried to use my vanilla gift card (have two for $50) and the card was DECLINED! I tried calling the number on the card and no choice for declined card or how to activate and no choice for customer service human to discuss issue on the card. I also tried there website and no chat and when I tried to input card number and cvs and expiration date it stated “sorry connection problem try again later” I tried over 20 times throughout this day and NOTHING! No one to discuss this issue online or their customer service number and no prompt when pushing all prompt numbers to push answer this questions, my gift card was a con! My kids were robbed $100
