I put $100 on my gift card, but wherever I went to use it, the card would be declined. When I called customer service to see what was going on and why my balance was saying $0 after I had just put $100 on the card, the person on the phone very rudely told me that was because of a maintenence fee. What kind of gift card has a maintenance fee at all, let alone for $100? I did not appreciate the way I was spoken to, and I do not appreciate the fact that I lost my $100 either. Last four digits of my card is 3036

I purchased a vanilla gift card for $91.97 to pay a phone bill. The company WOULDN'T accept it , so I used it for $21.00 at shell gas station, I got the receipt printed for the purchase of $21! I came home n called the amt left on the card and it said $16.97!;
I am furious! It says I spent $75 at Shell on gas, my car WILL NOT even take $75 in gas!

I went use a gift card that given to us for our wedding, brand new. It was declined so looked into the transaction history and notice someone used it two months after it was loaded. I called VGC immediately and filed a claim. This was done beginning of Oct, and as of today I still have no resolution. Every time I call it’s the same thing. I keep being told my case is being worked on and everytime they say I’ll have to transfer you to a manager. I sit on hold for more than 45mins and then just hang up. This is so annoying. Their customer services sucks so bad. Sometimes I think I talking to the same person with a different name. How does this get resolved?

I received (2) $25 gift cards and when I went to activate them, the first one sent me to check balance which showed someone had already activated it and made a $25 purchase; the other one would not even let me activate or check balance, kept saying information invalid even though I entered all the correct info numerous times from the card. Obviously, this company runs a very lucrative scam. I will NEVER buy one of these to give to anyone or to use for myself.

Card for $300 was given as gift on 5/20/2022. It was purchased online that day. I tried to use it 9/2023 and it was declined. I went online and saw that of the $300 i now only had $3 left in the account even though i did not ever use it! It had $297 dollars that were spent in 7/2022 ,in a purchase to a bogus company, but not by me! No one else has access to the card. I called and filed complaint on 9/29/2023 and was told there would be resolution in 7-10 days. Then when i called in October 2023 they told me 30-45 days and then when i called 11/6/2023 they told me a check had been sent. I received it today . It was for $3 ! I called today 11/13/2023 and was told the matter had been investigated and “no discrepancy “ found. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was put on hold…. I hung up after 35 minutes. I called again and got the same response. Please don’t buy this card, ever!

Back in March I had a total of 3 of my vanilla gift cards used on draft kings for a total of 300.00 well I filed my dispute and I waited and waited and waited but nobody ever got back to me.
On September 22nd I had arrived hoke after being out of town all week and I got my mail out of my mailbox and I had received my refund check from them I sign the back of my check I write on there FOR MOBEL DEPOSIT ONLY and I had to put my banks name on there I done my mobile deposit and was curious why I never had received my funds so on the 26th I contacted the bank and I was informed thar the check came back in their system as suspicious so I contacted vanilla gift card was told a replacement would be sent and still nothing so I just called again and the representative told me I had to go to bank of America and I don't have one near me but my payment isn't going to be refunded now and the supervisor wouldn't even get on the phone.

I received a Vanilla gift card of 200.00 in 2022, I used it for one purchase of 50.00 plus dollars at walmart. three weeks later when checking my balance to make a purchase with the remainder it was showing that I only had 2.00 in the account and was missing 80.00 plus dollars, I exhausted every means to reach someone who could correct this, I called numbers no one ever answered, I tried reaching the bank listed that had the Vanilla contract, I called numbers other suggested, that number on card, all hours to no avail, so after nothing I still have the card it is so unfair to the person who gifted me the card, it is their money you have taken or allowed someone else to take, I don't know. So I am sending this complaint, I will wait for your response at a reasonable amount of time, and then maybe I will seek other avenues to see how many others have had this problem and how and if they were given a satisfaction results and see where that goes.

I was given a $25 gift card and one of the numbers is scratched and I cannot read to activate it and the person who gave it to me can’t find the receipt. I called and gave customer service the numbers on the back but she couldn’t help me. I think the card was scratched when it was sold. I believe this is a scam to get your money and will tell everybody not to buy these kind of cards.

I bought a 50$ vanilla gift card on 8/29/23 that only came with 12 numbers on the front so it couldn’t be used I called customer service and they created a case that said 30 days I would have my card in the mail. It has been 65 days and I didn’t get anything in the mail everytime I call back they say give them a couple more days and at this point it’s ridiculous. Company and customer service insbility to resolve problems
Purchased a $500 gift card at CVS to use for work expenses. The first time I tried using it (same day) it was declined. Logged online and got message saying "card was compromised". Called Customer Service on Sept 28th, they offered to re-issue the card, asking for me to wait 7-10 business days. I called October 16th due to card not been delivered. Got told there was no tracking number and to wait 3-5 business days more. Waited 8 days, called back on October 26th. Supervisor said he was going to reissue, and started asking for me to send proof of address - I offered this condition made NO sense, specially after 3 calls. He said it was ok, I re-spelled my address. He offered I have to wait another 8-10 business days (no tracking) and to "trust" the process. I find that offensive to ask after the clear, repeated evidence that their "process" doesn't work. I find it profoundly stressful and frustrating to have no recourse against this abuse.
Desired outcome: Delivered $500 gift card, or a complete refund (plus $4 cost of the card).

I purchased a vanilla gift visa card. I put 260 on 10/23/2023 and its 10/24/2023 and there is only 60.00 left on it supposedly I called and bc uber and the first 6 times they tried to hit the card they were all declined. But no the last one for 200 they paid. I live in a small town in 'kansas we do not have uber> this card company is a joke. No will answer your phone call or there is no email to contact anyone...
