Prepaid gift card
I've purchased for my children 2 prepaid cards as christmas gift, each for $100 cad. To my children's disappointment both were showing 0 $ balance. Leaving aside the fact that I am a single mother raising them on my own so not quite swimming in money here, but this company managed to ruin my children's christmas and continues to be a total disappointment as 2 weeks later we are still trying to get a hold of someone in customer service being on hold for hours with no results. Do not buy any vanilla prepaid card!... You will lose the money... They issued duplicate card numbers and the ones getting the second issued card will lose their money... My kids credit card numbers both in december 2022 were already used in march 2022

I purchased a $500 Vanilla Gift Card August 17, 2022, I dropped the card and need to say, I was advised that I dropped the card from a Good Samaritan. By the time, I was able to retrieve the card, it was open and so forth.
I called Vanilla Gift Card immediately to place a stop on the card and requested a new Card.
The Representative on the phone asked me several questions, (Card #, Value, name of where it was purchased, and receipt). All of the information was provided.
I received the replacement card in the mail 2-3 weeks later. Once I tried to activate the card, I was told that someone else also tried to activate it therefore, I will need to submit to submit a Dispute form (that you are not able to get online). I waited over a month plus to receive a Dispute form via email &/or mail. I never received the email to date of today with the form. Thank God for regular mail.
Once Dispute form was received, I completed the form and submitted the form with copy of old gift card, copy of receipts, copy of my ID. I submitted the information via Reg Mail and Email on 10/3/22. I received an email response saying Dispute was received on 11/3/22 (1 month later) asking for front and back of gift card and copy of Driver's Lic ID. Information sent via email on 11/12/22.
Today, is January 6, 2023, 5 Months later, and still no resolutions.
Unacceptable on every label. Unprofessional, worst Card ever. I will definitely never purchase another VANILLA GIFT CARD. Terrible Customer Service.

i purchased this card as a christmas gift and cannot use it. It keeps saying it's declined and i can't get anyone on the phone to help me, the online site is not working either. on Jan 4th 2023 around 2pm 215pm i purchases two, 50 dollar giftcards from my local speedway gas station. for a birthday gift for my child, in my household. because it said it could take up to 24hours for the amount to verify. i opened and checked the availability myself that same evening online at the vanilla.com specified sight. The next morning i picked those cards back up off my table and got online again to the vanillagift.com to check the status of availability and all but 1 penny to 1 dollar on each card was already accessed! In less the 24 hours ! Tell me how this is not a scam? The wait on the phone was hours and the dispute process is veg. even what was showing up as a pending purchase still customer support said they could not cancle it, or "do nothing about it"! so waiting on 1 filed dispute and waiting on the other card to not be pending a purchase, till i can even file a dispute. this is rediculious. This company needs to do something more about there sercurity measures on this product, if the minute a card is purchased and the funds are available someone is waiting in the wing to make transactions with the info!
Desired outcome: i will call again and file the dispute on the second card on Jan 11th 2023 like your customer service rep told me to. Givin the amount of complaints and reveiws online about this same incident i experinced.
Vanilla debit visa
On january of 2022 I received a 50.00 gift card that I never used. Now when I check status of card it is 0.00 and there was a purchase on 5/28/22 of 50.00 to firaffe. Shop that I did not make! The card # is [protected], the expiration date is 8/29 and the code on back of card is 066. Jill cummings

As of October 3rd, 2022 I submitted information that my credit card gift for $100.00 was used by someone from Service Linen Company for $99.98. Left.02 on card. I called Vanilla, they opened up a gift card dispute. I just called after 90 days, and was told to wait another 24 to 48 hours. I thought that was ridiculous, and wanted a supervisor. After 40 minutes waiting, a supervisor came on the phone, and told me she couldn't hear me, and hung up. Called another 800 number and was told that I had to wait another 4 days. When asked if I could speak to a supervisor, I was left holding, period. All I wanted was the $100.00 that one of my friends gave me for Christmas 2021. I can't believe that a company the size of Vanilla would be so absurd to dismiss a dispute, plus create frustration for me for $100.00. I was in a hurry to pay a bill so on my way home feom work I purchased one and put 450.00 on the card.. within 3 minutes ALL 450.00 was gone! and after being on hold for 2 hrs I was told that all 450.00 was GONE.. spent on Mac Cosmetic's
and I been fight ever since! Someone needs to shut this company down because all they seem to do is steal people's hard earned money

We purchased a $100 Vanilla Gift Card for graduation gift and right after activation all but $0.50 was left on the card when we checked the balance. It went to Infotechy in two transactions. So, we put in a fraud claim to Vanilla and they said it would be up to 90-days to resolve. The ticket was put in July 2022. I started trying to contact them in October. I have been unsuccessful in getting through to them on the phone and they do not have any chat or email options. I do not know what to do at this point to get our money back. Can you help or point me in that direction?

Just before Christmas, I bought a 3-pack of these cards for $75 (plus $8.95 service charge) at Walgreens in St. Petersburg.
It says on the packaging "Save when you buy 3 cards at once"

My friend bought me a vanilla gift card around Christmas time. I called Vanilla and waited probably about an hour on the phone with them. I was expecting them to help... but really got nothing. They said I would have to call back in two days to make a dispute. They would not cancel the other person transactions and would not resolve the mistake. They said that they could not confirm one or the other I spent the money or not. Ridiculous!

Fraudulent business
I purchased a vanilla gift card to buy car parts & materials online, only to have a vendor say insufficient funds. I loaded the card with 400., only spending 80 of it before the rest was spent elsewhere by who knows who. It isn't the first time this has happened either. I shrugged it off as a loss as I havent the time to chase down the money...which I'm sure the scammers realize. If I can't get this resolved a few days before christmas, I'm another small business that will die soon.

Save your card and call the vanilla company; request fraud dept. Ask for a dispute form. Fill it out and send it in or send it online. If you can; try to log in at the vanilla website and enter your card number. It should show purchases made. It may be too late if they shut it down BUT, the main company “incomm” can SEE all transactions.

I got a vanilla gift card in the 18th dec, I had 200 on it. I spent 24 at walmart and 10 at mcdonalds. When I checked balance it said I had left.30. When I looked up my transactions it showed 2 of them I did not do. I called customer care got hung up on 2 times and called the nect morning, took me 3 hours finally a lady answered looked it up and saw it said to call next day to dispute it. Now I hvae been calling for 5 hours still no answer and im getting irrtiated. I have conacted better business b on you guys. I told the store and they took all your cards off the shelf also went to walmart and target asnd told them the same thing. You are scamming people for their money. That was my kids christmas presents and you are not helping me get my money back. I will contact a lawyer and sue you. I will not stop calling until this is handled.

Vanilla Gift Card - Visa Debt
I received the Vanilla Debit Visa Gift Card for a Christmas Present from my mother. When I try to activate the card, an automated attendant states there is a problem with the card. When I attempt to active the card on Vanilla Gift Card website, it doesn't recognize the card. I have made several attempts to call and speak with someone, however, stayed on hold for over 32 minutes, then again for 20 minutes without anyone from customer service answering or addressing that I was on hold.

They probably don’t answer the phone because they know they are going down! I was trying to get medicine for my RA and some POS from the call center spent it on a lame purse at Saks in New York! I'm appalled by the total LACK of customer service and self-service options when using these cards. When I try to log in or check card balance online, I get as system error report and no matter what I do, no matter what browser I use, I cannot get in no matter what. The help section is the OPPOSITE of helpful, and just directs me to a phone number bot that doesn't even give me the ability to talk to any live agent or report the same issue. I'm trying to dispute a specific transaction that was made in fraud without canceling the card, because I want that money back, and should be entitled to its refund. But without logging in, I can't access the ability to even try. No email to contact, no customer service, not even a helpful help section for live-chat windows or anything of the sort. Buy these gift cards, and you're flushing money down the drain quite literally. I will not be buying from Vanilla ever again after this. That will teach them to prevent us from logging in to our own [censored]ing account that WE PAID FOR!

The company I work for gave me a $500 Vanella gift card for being at my job for 10 years. Well, I had lots of plans for that $500 which came to a halt when I found out this past weekend that someone made an online purchase of $492. So, I called the number thats on the back of the card.
