Terrible service, one screw up after another, management doesn't take ownership of problems, never reached out once to call me and apologize for the poor service and sales rep disappeared after he got the order. After taking measurements twice, Verdun somehow ordered windows that were the wrong size, and a missing screen and handle. I was promised replacement windows within a week. Nobody followed up, nothing was scheduled when I called them 2 weeks later to see what was going on. 5 weeks later they are scheduled to come replace the windows.. Oops we only built 1 new window! Screwed up again. of course, nobody takes ownership, my sales rep is not returning emails or calls. I've repeatedly asked for the *** to contact me but never does. Finally on the 3rd appointment I call to make sure they have the screen and handle with them and the proper number of windows, I'm assured they have everything. Guess what, the screen was never even made. I call Verdun office again, nobody knows or cares, I've asked for the *** to call me, never does. I call and email my sales rep, he doesn't even bother to reply. This company is a joke, the windows don't function well. The locks are impossible to use, the windows don't glide smoothly at all, garbage product.

I had 3 contacts with this company and was given 3 different versions to explain whether a product could be under warranty. 2 versions were radically different.I discovered this company will not sell you parts. Many companies carry and sell parts to their clients or the new home owners... even if a warranty is not valid. For Verdun, it is clear that no parts is sold and no repairs are done, unless it's under warranty, end of the story. If you have a broken glass due to an impact, that is not under warranty. If your glass repair specialist damages the plastic trim, while replacing the glass, you will not be able to do a proper repair. I note the very unique design of the Revocell windows, no one else will have those parts. Therefore I see no possibility of improvement in the future.This company told me they did a financial reorganization in the past, in 2006 (just repeating one of the version I was told). I see a complex set of interlinked companies when reviewing the website of Verdun's group. I see various names over time when digging online. I would not trust this company, with their 25 years warranty. I would choose a company that supports it's past products now and, hopefully, they will later. Buyers beware.

Verdun Windows and Doors I am very pleased with the windows, doors, and service that Verdun has provided

I am very pleased with the windows, doors, and service that Verdun has provided. We had all our windows and doors installed six years ago. The workers did an amazing job at installing all our windows and doors while keeping our house clean at the same time. The finish of the frames reflects precision and careful design and construction. The installers were careful to seal all around the windows, and we are quite pleased with how well the windows and doors and caulking and sealing insulated our home and kept it free of cold air drafts in the winter.Its been six years since they were installed. Two years ago we had one of the seals leak in one of the windows. Verdun cam and replaced it in a very timely manner under warranty. The windows and doors continue to be in excellent condition. There were just a few very minor spots on our south/west side of our house this year where the contraction of the heat/cooling resulted in some minor spots (cracks) requiring caulking. I was willing to do the touch up myself, but Verdun were very quick to offer to come and touch up the caulking themselves under warranty, and I am very pleased at the job they did.My wife and I are very pleased with this company, and we would hire them again. I can highly recommend this company to replace your windows and doors.R White

We had our windows replaced and what a difference it made no more cold draft. We have an issue with the patio door hopefully it would be resolved soon. The crew (Jason and Rhys) showed on time and we were pleasantly surprised by their dedication and professionalism. We highly recommend Verdun windows. Suzanne

My experience dealing with Verdun has been quite positive, from start to finish. The window installers were highly professional and courteous. They took the time to answer questions and provide clarifications. They also did a thorough job of cleaning up. I would re-hire Verdun for future projects and recommend them to others. ***.

Verdun Windows and Doors Verdun Windows is the worst possible company when it comes to customer service

Verdun Windows is the worst possible company when it comes to customer service. Sales agent are very effective but once the contract is signed, dealing with delivery and installation of door and window is a nightmare I ordered 2 front entrance doors in February and I am still waiting for those doors to come in and be installed. The doors first came in January 2022 ( delay of 11 months). Th e installation team was here with doors on January 13th just to realize that the flash clipping on the doors was not the right color. On top of that, a screen door was added to the frame ( these are front entrance doors). It would be too long to write how difficult communication was afterwards to find out about the new delay on the doors. In May 2022, I was notified that the new doors were now ready to be installed. Installation was planned for June 3rd with a time frame of between *** pm. I call at 12:30 pm to confirm and was told that yes, installation team would arrive between *** pm. At 2:30pm, I call again to inquire what was happening. While I was put on hold, I receive an email notifiying me that the installation appointment was now cancel. They could not find the frame. From the beginning, the situation has been a nightmare, has created a great deal of stress and I am still in the dark about those doors that were ordered 16 months ago.

4 stars - it took 10 mths to get the windows installed, twice as long as stated when ordered in Dec 2021. Way too many emails, phone calls, and not the right products etc. BUT, the windows are wonderful - and a Big shout out to our installers *** A professional pair who did an excellent job! ( in the cold with a smile )

I have new front door installed. The quality is awesome *** who came were friendly, dedicated and attentive to details. We were so impressed with the workmanship and the can-do attitude of *** and ***. They went beyond the extra mile to complete a difficult job and we are blown away by the beauty of their work. Verdun Windows and Doors Again. Purchased new door in Feb

Again. Purchased new door in Feb. 2021 with deposit. Verdun called us in March?April and gave us an installation date of Thursday July 8. We agreed. Week before, they called to see if we could change the date but we were on vacation and got a voice mail after the fact. Tuesday July 6 we got an email confirming July 8 installation with instructions for preparation on our part. Wednesday July 7 we got a voice mail that our installation was cancelled. Thursday July 8, the date we had booked months ago, at 8:00 a.m. we got a voice mail that they had received a cancellation from another customer and now could, in fact, perform our installation. We had come home from our vacation so we agreed. They would be there around 9:00 and they were. The two man crew removed our door assembly but somehow, while unloading our new assembly, it crashed--faulty manufacturing was the reason given, and could not now be installed. Our old assembly had to be put back in place. Our alarm system connection on this door had been disconnected as we learned when we went to arm the system at bedtime. Friday, we were lucky to have a service call late in the afternoon, and we paid about $140. for this. We understand that accidents can occur. The scheduling snafu was totally unaccaptable. The sales pitch stated that their manufacturing and product were top of the line. We are now totally in limbo. Verdun has failed us miserably.

Had a large patio door replaced this year. Communication was great with main office, and installation crew did a fantastic job with the removal and installation. Both sides of the operation office/installers were helpful throughout the process, and I got exactly what I paid for. We will be going through Verdun for future door/window replacement projects.

We recently purchased all new windows and doors for our house from Verdun Windows. From the get go, things went very smoothly. We were very impressed with communication with all of the staff involved as well as the work they did. The installers were punctual, polite and professional.We are very happy with the custom made windows. They look amazing and the triple glaze noticeably decreases noise pollution in the house. Looking forward to seeing how much it lowers our heating and cooling bills as well!

Verdun Windows and Doors I have had an incredibly frustrating experience with this company

I have had an incredibly frustrating experience with this company. First they lost my window, which, to be fair, mistakes happen. I was forgiving and gave them time to look for the window and get back to me. I waited almost three months at which point I called and they rescheduled the installation. I get a call the day before the installation to once again be told that the window is lost! Understanding my frustration, they immediately order a new one and give me a significant discount for my troubles. If things had ended there, I would not be writing this review. The installers come to put in the window, but don't have the screen. We pay the balance in full regardless and they say, we will be in touch about the screen, Months pass again and instead of a screen, I get an email from the billing department demanding I pay the original price. I angrily send a screenshot of the agreed upon discount and ask to schedule the screen installation. I get a call scheduling it and then, less than a week later, I get an email from someone saying that I have not paid anything and they won't install the screen until I pay. I have already paid $100s of dollars, wasted hours of my time, and spoken to 6 different people over 10 months, none of whom seem to know any content of any other person's conversations with me. The left hand of this company does not know what the right is doing and I would advise against using their services.

Verdun Windows and Doors We ordered the windows in the fall of 2020 for our cottage

We ordered the windows in the fall of 2020 for our cottage. Price was held for the spring install in our cottage. a couple of weeks before they were to install we were called to say that the order would be behind a month and installed May 19th. We had decided to sell the cottage a couple of weeks before hearing this and it was sold by the time they advised us with our closing being May 20th. The sale expectations were that all would be done and this was voiced to the company who then, suddenly, could install on time to avoid the inevitable legal issues involved in a property not closing and causing a chain reaction in deal fails. Once install started, the staff was working well. Stayed distant and wore masks. No real issues to speak to but they left the window on the upper floor open with no screen and a squirrel gained access. The next day staff seemed unbothered by their letting the squirrel in and the company never bothered to comment on it either. On the third day of installation, the installer changed again to another guy who was far quicker than the first crew and could have possibly cost me a day less in work loss as i had to stay at the cottage for the three days. Overall, the company using COVID as an excuse was off-putting since they were still able to have all the cottage windows installed in a couple of weeks following but said they had no parts to build them. That was a really fast build and change of schedule which we believe was unnecessary. They were quick to request the review but have yet to ask if all was good. Not really the performance we were expecting. I have deducted one star for the scheduling, one for the squirrel and one for the lack of communication

Verdun Windows and Doors We ordered 17 windows and 1 patio door in July

We ordered 17 windows and 1 patio door in July . Initial discussion was that install would be in November , then the delays started, patio door would be late jan 2021, we are not going to replace anything in the dead of winter so we said to put everything on hold until the Spring 2021. In March we call and are informed that everything should be ready for a May install...yay! I take a week off work and the install is going very well. The 3rd day when the patio door arrives it is manufactured incorrectly, we call our sales rep who says that it was thier mistake and he will get another patio door ordered and it should take 4-6 weeks. I call after 6 weeks and am told that it should be here in August. I call in August and am now told 29 August your door will be here... I call on the 29th and now it's mid-Spetember for arrival...ok... call back and more delays... all the while ZERO explanation and ZERO contact from Verdun. I am always the one who has to initiate communication. Then it's 29 September for delivery, I call on that date and am told the truck hasn't been unloaded yet, so we will call you tomorrow... When they do call, my door was not on the truck and now it's 13 October and then another 2 weeks or more for install... but wait... I just called and now it's 20 October for delivery! I will call again on the 20th and see if my door has finally arrived! It's the absolute lack of communication from Verdun that is the worst, if I mess up with one of my clients, I put their stuff on a RUSH to make sure I get it to them ASAP! That is not the case with Verdun, you seem to just get put in the queue at the bottom of the pile and nobody seems to care about the client! I will update this review when/if my patio door actually arrives and I can only hope that it was made correctly this time!

Verdun Windows and Doors The quality of our front door was excellent and the installers were professional and respectful

The quality of our front door was excellent and the installers were professional and respectful. However, the customer service was very poor when issues arose. Due to supply issues, we were informed of an 8-month wait for installation after paying our deposit. After the 8-month wait, the door couldn't be installed because it was 7 inches too big (plus it did not have the peep hole requested on the order). The sales person was quick to call and said he would take care of us in terms of getting a new door quickly and with respect to a discount. Many emails to the sales person to confirm a new installation date and the amount of the discount were either deflected or not responded to. The lack of response created a lot of anxiety on whether they would install prior to the winter as our current door no longer closed properly. The new door was installed 2.5 months later which was a good turnaround time but the colour did not match the paint chip we were given and again the peep hole was not on the door. The company left it to the installers to share that they were giving us a $100 discount on a $5,000 door for their error. Either give your sales person the authority to provide appropriate customer service or have a customer representative contact the client directly to resolve issues. A courteous customer service representative to reassure us on a firm installation date and an appropriate discount for the inconvenience was all that my emails requested. The door is brown while we selected an antique brown which was very close to black. Apparently, they will return to install the peep hole. Verdun quality is great and their business is flourishing so much so that they can't keep up with demand. The company needs to assign resources to customer service follow through otherwise they will lose repeat business and word-of-mouth recommendations.

Verdun Windows and Doors I had ordered 6 windows, and had two separate installation dates

I had ordered 6 windows, and had two separate installation dates. I was extremely disappointed with my first 5 windows. I would have given a zero to one star. I asked for single sliders and ended up with double sliders with half screens. So when the window panes slid open, I have a screen on one side and can put my hand through the window on the other side. There were quality issues with the windows. For example, bug screen was installed with gaps that bugs can go through holes. The window panes can slide back and forth in the casement when in shut position. I was very puzzled why I had to turn up the heat in my house after the new windows were installed. I used an infrared thermometer and was shocked to learn that the window frame and my walls have a temperature difference about 4 to 5 degree celcius - colder, in certain areas. The new windows were draftier than my old ones! I was not a happy camper. Thank goodness they sent *** over to service the windows. He listened to my concerns and worked on each window as I pointed the areas that had issues. He resolved everything that I had asked. I give him 5 stars for his patience, his service and knowledge to fixing the issues.On my second window installation, which was scheduled before ***'s service call, I was very pleased with *** and *** service. I told them about the water leak from the old window to the ground floor. When they put in the new window, they went above and beyond to make sure that I would not have water leak issues again. They were very patient and knowledgeable with answering my questions and concerns. They were careful to cover the surrounding and worked very well as a team. *** to ***, *** and *** for your excellent customer service that earned *** the 5 stars from one star. I am enjoying my windows and have turned my heat back down again. :)

RE Verdun Windows and Doors I didn't want to do this; I didn't want to waste anymore time or energy on Verdun Windows and Doors. But for any possible future customers I feel it only fair I provide you with a sketch of my 9-months-and-counting experience with Verdun Windows and Doors (VW&D). Date: January 7 - I signed a contract and made a down payment on new French Doors with screen and a replacement transom window. 3. Three times VW&D made and appointment and came to my address (but not to my door!) and left with nothing accomplished. Reasons: too windy; couldn't find parking; what was needed wasn't in the truck. These three missed opportunities all occurred before the Lockdown. 3. Three times VW&D came to the house to install the new doors and window and left with nothing accomplished. Reasons: no transom window -- it was left behind at the shop; no moulding for the transom -- not made; no screen -- forgot to make it. 9. Nine months, coming up on ten months and still I wait. 3. Three bits of the best, though meagre, advice I can come up with for anyone daring to engage with this company. Know that if they have to cancel, or if they come to the house and get nothing done, they will not be back the next day apologizing and amending their error. No. You will be moved to the back of the list and may not hear from them for many weeks. Know that when they come to do an install that doesn't mean anyone has gone through a check list to ensure they have all the product etc. needed to fulfill their contract with you. Know that they will soon learn not to answer or return your phone calls. (Which leaves you wondering if they even listen to your messages.) Emails at least are a record of your efforts as a conscientious consumer trying to follow up on the contract you made with this company. Date: October 22 - I am waiting for a call or maybe an email (who knows?) to set up a new install date.

Verdun Windows Sales Rep will visit your home and sell you windows and door styles that you cannot see in person while assuring you that they are customized replacement windows. They even go as far as to tell you they have a no *** policy. This cannot be further from the truth or the experience I had dealing with Verdun. Colour: is not white as shown in their marketing brochures and online - instead they are grey blue meaning they look off once installed because they will not match your existing pure white/ or off white windows).Condition: my windows arrived unwrapped and damaged as though they were laying around at a construction site. They had abrasions on the surface, sand as though they had been installed at a home where they were adding stucco and a cut into one edge. Also, the screens come all scratched and the corners come with missing paint like and do not include a finishing corner compared to my older original windows meaning they look older and more worn compared to the windows I was looking to replace.Installation: While I was told my windows would be custom to my home so I could use my existing wood trim at 3/12 they are NOT custom. Instead they were ordered with a side note that the home owner needs to provide their own 4 inch trim. When I said I wanted to use the same size for consistency around my home I was ignored. Instead the order form simply stated HOMEOWNER TO PROVIDE and Verdun does not offer this size. So here is the other kicker when I followed-up to secure a 4 inch trim through a local wood trim supplier they explained they don't carry this size. They also said there should be no reason why my window could not be sized to accommodate my existing trim unless Verdun has a one size fits all window they sell you. So basically, I did not get the correct size windows and I cannot secure a 4 inch trim so I was sent on a fools errand.Communications: Once you sign a contract or if you have any issues Verdun does not respond. Verdun Windows and Doors Regretting purchase

Regretting purchase. Expected a professional experience but was very disappointed. Wish we had gone with another company. Sale rep was friendly and reassured our experience. Rep who came to take measurements came 3 hours early with no announcement but was friendly. Was then scheduled for 2 days for the windows to be installed. After the first day, we had some concerns so emailed the sales rep with our concerns and talked to the installer on the second day. There were nicks and cuts to our walls and ceiling, cracked trim, a nail sticking out, gaps in the trim, screws left on the roof, and small debris in the carpet. The installer assured us that it would all be checked when he completed the job and anything we were unsatisfied with would be fixed. Due to an issue with the order the installer was scheduled to come back for a 3rd day. We were informed by the installer which day he would be back, no call from the sale rep to address our concerns or the scheduling office to confirm the day. We were left with no trim on the main floor windows for more than a week until the installer came back for the final install. The two man team rushed to reinstall a 11 windows and left a mess on the main floor when they left. The cracked trim was explained as normal and puttied over, dust and debris was left on the main floor, screws were left on the roof. Pictures were taken of the nicks and cuts to our walls and ceilings and we were told they would be added to the file. A small crack in a pane was noted and said it would be reported. Our kitchen faucet was left with a leak and when speaking to a installer about it, said he didn't think he caused it and it was an old faucet but would take responsibility for it and drop off a new faucet the next morning and we would have to install it ourselves. Next morning came and nothing from the company or the installer. We called the office around noon to inquire what was happening with our faucet and asked if we knew how to install a faucet to which we said no. The office said they would contact the installer. The office contacted us and told us the installer would drop off a faucet. The installer dropped off a faucet after a couple of hours. We called the office a few days later to inquire about the cracked pane and have an appointment set up for someone to come take a look at that as well as the nicks and cuts to the walls and ceilings. We have also realized some of crank windows have problems opening or don't open at all so we will ask for that to be looked at too as well as an ill fitting screen. Highly disappointed with the experience. The rep who made the sale has not contacted us. We were not contacted by anyone to address our concerns though we have tried to reach out to the main office and the installer said he would add notes and pictures to our file.

Verdun Windows and Doors I had heard good things about this business in the past and decided to proceed based on that

I had heard good things about this business in the past and decided to proceed based on that. On September 16th we ordered a sliding door. We were informed that the installation would take up to 18-20 weeks as it was a custom order. It was installed on February 8th, only a single installer showed up so I had to help him bring the new door in and remove the old door. Within 24 hours (February 9th) we contacted Verdun to let them know that the floor transition was dented and that the flashings had been installed incorrectly, including gaps (Pics attached). They confirmed that a technician would come on February 24th to repair deficiencies. This is where our problems with Verdun really began. On February 24th, 2 hours into our appointment window, we received a call that they had run out of materials to fix our damage and would have to reschedule once a new shipment comes in. I placed a call and was told that they were out of black flashing and that they would call us once they had some. I further asked if they could come repair the transition while we waited for other parts - only to find out that the transition was noted on the work order, but the part had not even been requested yet as the wrong wording was used on the request. We also reported at this time that the handle had now become loose. We have tried to get answers several times, and it appears that each time things are handed off to new customer managers and notes are not reviewed. April 21st we received the following email: "This is Ibrahim from Verdun Windows. I wanted to book an appointment to fix all the outstanding repairs for Tuesday June 1st between 12pm-4pm, That is the earliest date we have for a job of this magnitude since replacing the damaged sill extension of the patio door means re-installing the Patio door please call us back on (613) xxxxxx or reply to the email so we can book it. Repairs: Fix loose handle Replace cladding/flashing for patio door Replace damaged sill extension for Patio door" I am not interested in working with a company that takes 4 months to rectify their own deficiencies. Further I find it interesting that the "magnitude" of deficiencies is used as a reason for why we should have to wait longer - we are the ones that have to have been dealing with their deficiencies for the past 3 months. Let's see if they happen to "run out" of our parts again on June 1st. I realize that the current situation of the pandemic has placed certain constraints on businesses and supplies, but at no point have I found the customer service that we have received to have been of a reasonable standard. At all points the onus has been on my wife and myself to chase them and remind them that we still have outstanding deficiencies. The delays have not been the worst part of this, but the treatment and lack of urgency is most worrying - followed closely by the fact that their item was so deficient. Before hiring Verdun I would strongly recommend meeting with a few other suppliers. As of today (May 17th) - Verdun Windows and doors has finally agreed to come and look at the door , at no point has any concessions or offerings been made.

Verdun Windows and Doors On March 24th 2022 a customer service representative from Verdun came and gave my wife and I a quote to have our windows done in our house

On March 24th 2022 a customer service representative from Verdun came and gave my wife and I a quote to have our windows done in our house. The total for the quote was $11000.00 (please see attached). On April 13th 2022, I called Verdun to put our 25% deposit down. I was informed that the sales representative would have to input the quote again. When I got the updated quote I was informed that it had gone up by $427.27, stating that when it was inputted it went up and there was nothing they could do. The sale representative is claiming that a training customer was used when we got our quote and we were informed that the price could potentially increase. Which we were never told and is not documented anywhere. On our quote it clearly states that the quote is good for 30 days, however the sales representative is refusing to give us our windows for the price first quoted. Please see the attached documents verifying our original quote, the email in which we received our quote, and the chain of emails outlining the price difference and the refusal to do anything.

We ordered a door from Verdun Doors on June 23. A $1500 deposit was made to order the door and arrange installation. We were told that we would be called on November 8th to arrange the installation of the door before the Winter season. It is now April 19th, 2022 and we have been ignored on many occasions when asking for Verdun for an update. While we have been told that there are supply chain issues, there is no transparancy and we have not been given adequate information when our door will arrive or when it will be installed. We have called the office dozens of times, but they basically ignore are calls or do not reply to our emails. I have enclosed some documentation to support our claim.

Verdun Windows and Doors I ordered two windows with Verdun in August and had them installed on December 17

I ordered two windows with Verdun in August and had them installed on December 17. On February 18, I noticed water leak through one of the windows in my bedroom leading to a leak in my living room later on Sunday February 20 ( I have pictures and videos). I called Verdun as I have a 25 years warranty on the windows, they sent me two people on Monday February 21 who noticed that there was no insulation in the upper part of the window, and insufficient caulking on the outside. As soon as the installer added more caulking and the insulation, the leak in my bedroom stopped, and the day after the leak stopped in my living room despite the fact that the ice dam was still melting .I had my roofing company send somebody over for an inspection, and the report that I shared with Verdun, clearly stated that the water resulting form the ice dam melt leaks into my bedroom through the window. I received a call today from Verdun telling me that they require from me a more detailed report, and that until then, they will not do anything about the loss they have caused me.

I ordered two doors December and had both doors installed June . Both doors installed incorrectly . The company came back and reinstalled the front door . 5 days later we noticed our outdoor porch light no longer working. I emailed the company and told them the installer must have put a screw through a wire and cut power to our light. At first the install manager agreed to send an electrician to fix it but I never heard from the company. In December I reached out again and was sent a letter stating as per my contract Verdun Windows and Doors are not responsible for any damage they may cause to your property during installation . They said I will have to hire an electrician myself at my cost to fix their mistake. Our second door has to be reinstalled and according to Verdun they ordered us a new door and that is coming in Feb 23, 2022. I want Verdun to repair the damaged wire to my outdoor light

My wife and I ordered a new door and upon further reflection we decided to cancel the order within the 10 day period as provided by the vendor. The request was sent to the sales rep as well as the vender on April the 8th and as of yesterday , the 18th, I have still not been refunded my deposit of $1700.00 I contacted the office and and was told that the person in charge of this was " sick" , but would attend to it as soon as she gets back. ..seriously? Verdun already had 10 days to do this .Can you help ? Electronic transfer is preferred but I'll take a cheque .

I ordered 2 windows and. Patio Door from Verdun Windows and Doors on March 16. They installed the two windows, but I still do not have the correct PATIO DOOR. The first one they came with the measurement were incorrect. I waited another month to get them back with the second patio door. they showed up with it again and began taking my old patio door apart for the second time. After I inspected the patio door I noticed that it did not have the internal blinds between the glass. I stopped the installation and had to stay with my old patio door. Since then they admitted they dropped the ball on the patio door installation twice. They still have not given me any compensation for the destruction to the facings and leaving the old patio door with nail holes in the facing everywhere. I was offered 10% discount on future window purchases but nothing for them not following through on their part of the contract to install a patio door with blinds. I send two emails to the person in charge and have not heard back from him about when I will get the installation done. I am ready to cancel the contract and go with another company.

Verdun Windows and Doors Sept 01, 2021 order with Verdun Windows and Doors lacks follow-through

On September 1, I placed an order with a representative from Verdun Windows and Doors for a front door, including installation, totaling $3468.09. A 25% deposit of $850.00 was required, which I paid. The company committed to professional workmanship with installation scheduled for the fall. On October 13, I received a generic email about shipping and inventory issues due to Covid, with December 6, proposed as the new installation date. However, I received no further communication from Verdun despite my numerous emails and calls. Installation dates have passed without any update. My last interaction with the company was on April 27, 2022, when I asked to cancel the order and get a refund of my deposit. The representative mentioned the door would arrive on May 11, 2022, and promised to schedule installation, but I've had no contact since. I demand immediate cancellation of my order and a refund of my $850.00 deposit due to poor customer service and Verdun's failure to meet reasonable timelines. It seems Verdun is unable to fulfill the order and has been misleading with their promises.

Ordered a classic/standard patio door from Verdun Windows and Doors. Estimated # of weeks to installation: 20 to 22, from the signature date which was April 26. Door received from manufacturer and installation scheduled for September 17. Installers advised incorrect door was ordered. Sales Rep was responsible for error. Telephoned company twice to determine workaround. Calls were ignored. No resolution imminent. After a week, requested call back from Service Manager. Service Manager returned call September 24. Offered zero apology and zero compensation. He merely indicated a replacement door was being requested from the manufacturer but no timeline as to when the door would arrive. Advised of dissatisfaction of after-sales service. No impact on Manager. I also advised potentially new targeted date for installation (another 22 weeks) would significantly impact an 87 year old living in the house due to weather conditions. Absolutely no impact on Manager either.

We ordered 3 basement windows, a front door and back door to the garage as per the attached contract on May 27th. We were told installation for everything would be October. The 3 basement windows were installed on October 22nd, mind you with a huge scratch on one of the exterior frames. The windows were not anything special considering the price they charged. The biggest issue now is that Verdun cannot provide an ETA for the installation of the doors. There answer is basically sometime in the future, who knows when. Blaming covid delays etc. I told them I no longer want to do business with them and would like my deposit back minus anything owing for the windows as per the contract. I was told no and that they are committed to installing the doors in a professional manner but who knows when. Maybe 2022? 2023 at this pace.

Verdun Installed a new front door for us in July and we found the fit and finish of the cosmetic trim to be very poor. After waiting over 6 weeks for new trim to arrive and be installed we found the replacements to be not much better then the originals and notified Verdun of our opinion, Verdun indicated they would order new pieces again and that they should be in within a few weeks. After waiting 3 weeks and not hearing anything from the company we contacted them again to find out the status and were told they had determined the finish was fine and that they had decided to close the file without telling us. I then asked to speak with the service manager who told me he would order new pieces and it may take up to 6 weeks to get them even though the doors are manufactured in Montreal. After a number of weeks I received an email from the service manager indicating "we sent the new picture of the new screw cover to the manufacturer. They look really good. They pass the industry standard." The fit and finish do not look really good. I asked for a copy of the correspondence from the manufacture to validate their statement but was just ignored on my request.

Order and deposit was placed Aug 3, 2021 for a new front door and patio door. We were told verbally that the target install would be Oct/Nov 2021, but contract stated 20-22 weeks (Jan 2022). The date came and went without contact until we reached out twice for an update as our first inquiry went unanswered. We were then told it would be 10 additional weeks (mid Mar 2022). That date too passed without contact and once we reached out we were told mid-April 2022. For a third time, we reached out for an update and asked to be put in contact with a supervisor. We raised these concerns and got a generic email back that failed to address them. We proposed solutions and have yet to hear back. Our installation finally happened on June 1 (though could have been about 2 weeks sooner but we were not available), which would have still been double our estimated time frame in our contract. The delays themselves are one issue, but the fact that they failed to communicate about ANY of the delays directly to us despite having $1600 of ours was appalling customer service. After asking for a resolution directly to the company and being ignored, we felt our only option for recourse was to file a complaint.

Verdun replaced our front doors on Friday February 19, invoice ***. The doors met our expectations and we paid the invoiced amount to Verdun on February 19. After the installers left, we cleaned up the area near the doors and discovered that several floor tiles had been cracked during the installation of the doors. On Monday February 22 we contacted Verdun regarding the damaged caused by their installers. That same day, Verdun requested photos of the damage. We sent three photos of the damage to Verdun on February 22. On April 6, after several calls and emails, Verdun offered us $1000. We refused as we had obtained two preliminary estimates of $6,000 and $10,000. On April 16, we and Verdun agreed that their adjuster would be consulted. The adjuster recommended that a claim settlement of $5,000 be made to us. We indicated that we would accept this proposal. Since that date, there have been many emails between us and Verdun. Verdun proposed a repair of the tiles by one of the installers of the doors who had verbally threatened to take us to court! (reason not specified.) The last email from Verdun requested that we prove that the installers were 100% responsible for the damage. Our proof is that the damage was not there before the doors were installed and, after the installers left, it was. This ongoing issue has not been resolved for far too long and Verdun seems to want to wait until we drop the issue. We will not.

We are not very happy customers at this moment, as we wait for someone to call us and try to resolve this issue. The installer mentioned that we would likely need to have a totally different solution. We have an ongoing case with the complaintsboard.com regarding this sale, and we will be adding this info to the file. Contract: #***, dated 25 May (deposit paid to Verdun) and July (contract signed and order submitted to Verdun). Problems: (1) After 12 months, our front door installation remains incomplete; (2) No updates have been provided regarding the tentative timeline for full and proper installation; (3) Alternative solution proposed by Verdun (i.e. install a mismatched colour door) are unreasonable and contrary to the T&C of the contract; (4) Verdun response time to repeated and numerous inquiries over past 12 months is unacceptable. Damages (to date): due to the numerous and unsubstantiated delays in fulfilling this contract, all of which are attributable to Verdun, we have suffered (1) economic loss due to lost wages; (2) additional monetary loss given that we are no longer eligible for the government Rebates program; (3) repeated unnecessary loss due to Verdun failing to return phones calls over past year (multiple phone calls and emails Verdun representatives and departments have gone unanswered and/or have not been returned). Resolution Sought: (1) Verdun return deposit in full (aprox $2,418.52) within 10 business days; (2) Verdun pay accrued interest (at BoC rate) on deposit (from date deposit received by Verdun in July to date complaint); (3) Verdun continue to pay interest on our deposit until such time that the deposit is returned in full to my banking account; (4) monetary damages for loss of wages (as noted earlier); (5) monetary damages for loss of rebate eligibility; (5) commitment from Verdun to install the front door, in accordance with the contract (with the correct colours) within 30 business days. Verdun Windows and Doors We have had a number of issues with Verdun's windows due to improper fitting / incorrect measurement or damage to the windows/patio door itself

We have had a number of issues with Verdun's windows due to improper fitting / incorrect measurement or damage to the windows/patio door itself. It has caused delay and disruption. 1. Patio doors Required the addition of sill extension to each of the four patio doors. At measurement, a thorough examination could have prevented the issue and wider patios door ordered. The sill extension is being supported by the 1inch siding when proper backing should have been used to support. One of the screens has scratches on it. Awaiting the replacement. 2. 2 corner windows The first set of windows did not fit correctly due to the bow in the 2x4 (part of the house structure) uncovered at installation. At measurement, removal of the trim could have identified the issue with the bow. The window winder on one of the windows sticks > one of the screw heads is not sunk fully. All four screens do not snap into place. Awaiting the replacement - received end of October . A call was placed at 7:30pm with a message to call back by 8pm with a decision if we wanted to adjust the window split by 16 inches. We felt that was a big decision to make and such a short time frame to make it. We received an email informing us the second set of windows would require the split to be 16 inches higher which we never received technical reasons after requesting this information. The second set is 21 inches higher and not 16 inches. We did not approve this order. 3. Front door Hinges squeak. We sprayed a lubricant on it and it seems to have stopped. 4. General We spoke to many different individuals from the accounting department, scheduling, installation manager and no one was aware of our situation. It was frustrating to deal and one point of contact would have been preferred. We requested a price adjustment and request went ignored for months. The sales agent referenced it was due to supply issues when we clearly indicated above it was improper measurements.

Verdun Windows and Doors On February 25th, I signed a purchase contract with Verdun Windows for the Cachet Novatech double front entrance doors

On February 25th, I signed a purchase contract with Verdun Windows for the Cachet Novatech double front entrance doors. I was told that the delay would be approx 3 -4 months because of Covid. A delay of 11 months was when the first scheduled installation was booked ( January 2022). On that day, the installers were here but had to leave without installing the doors after they realized that the flash clipping was the wrong color. Also, a double screen door which was not ordered had been added to the doors. Communication with the company from then on was a total disaster. No follow-ups were provided and we were left in the dark. In May 2022, we were notified that the doors were now ready to be installed. Verdun schedule a new installation date for June 3rd. On that day, after they did not show up for the schedule installation, I received an email informing us that they had to cancel again because they could not find the frame. Because this was the 2nd time that the planned installation did not go through, I went directly to the manufactury on June 6th and had an hour long in person meeting with the ***. I was told then that I would be getting a follow-up within 24 to 48 hours. On June 13th, I sent another email to Verdun indicating that I was still waiting for a follow-up. On the week of June 20th, I was notified of a new installation date for June 28th ( this was going to be the 3rd attempt). Again, on that day, after not having Verdun show up for the scheduled appointment, I receive an email indicating that the installation was again cancel ( same reason, they could not find the frame despite the fact that I had spoken with them the week before to confirm that they had the frame). It was on July 19th that I receive an email indicating that I was going to get a follow-up. It is now August 4th 2022 ( 18 months later), I am still waiting for the follow-up and still in the dark as to what is happening with my order.

Verdun Windows and Doors Purchased front door & 2 sidelites 8.26.20, order 101-6030

Purchased front door & 2 sidelites 8.26.20, order 101-6030. Included custom colour for door, sidelites trim, grills and flashing/trim around the door. Paid in full $7k (incl HST) on install date of 3.11.21. Immediately noticed flashing & caulking did not match custom colour & inside of grills on sidelites had large hand written numbers which are an eye sore. Installers documented issues for Service Dept and I notified Sales Rep. Was assured these issues would be fixed. 3.21.21 on ladder to remove Xmas lights and saw large space between top door flashing & soffit above. Concern raised about insects or mice getting into space, so installer sent on Mar 25 to fix issue. Since he did not have the custom colour flashing, he temporarily fixed using inside out flashing where steel is now showing rather than painted flashing. On same service call, he agreed there is dirt inside the right (street view) sidelite thermal window and it should be replaced. He also noted that original install did not provide proper wood support behind the side flashing, so he put in an order to have these two additional issues fixed. Service called me in August to advise all parts received and they scheduled appt for 10/14 to address all remaining issues. Installer showed up on 10/14 without the replacement thermal window, no custom colour flashing, no replacement grills. The only issue resolved is the wood was installed behind the still wrong coloured flashing. I lodged a written complaint to Sales rep, but no phone call rec'd from service nor general mgr. Phoned Service Mgr Oct19. He said new thermal expected first week of Nov. Told him our door is not winterized since on Oct14 when wood framing done, installer warned if we chose to have it caulked, we'd need to wait another 2 mos before they could remove it to install proper flashing when arrives. Called him again Nov9 for status on new thermal and getting temp translucent caulking as discussed. Call not returned.

Verdun Windows and Doors VERDUN since they received our final payment are very slow to resolved several issues

VERDUN since they received our final payment are very slow to resolved several issues. 1-VERDUN made some damage to our house during the several visits since the initial installation. (Siding / door handle / blinds) 2-The door handle is now complete after 8 months of wait. 3-The blinds were damage 4-Financial compensation offered by Verdun but never finalize the issues. We sent over 75 emails to the company and we still at the same stage. 2-Hello Mr., Since our last telephone contact exactly 2 weeks ago, NO but NO news, NO short follow-up calls it's incredible, so disappointing. The holiday season will come shortly and you will be firm again and again everything will be delayed. We should have waited to give you the last portion of the payment for the shoddy work done, maybe you would have been a little faster to complete the job.
