I have canceled my plan 3 times now and still can't
On 10/13/17, I called and canceled my plan.
Again in November i called to cancel my plan
In December i called to cancel my plan.
I don't understand why they can't get this done.
I am having to continue calling and this time I am reporting to the credit card company to stop payments. I have paid $8.00 each month and I feel I should be reimbursed my $32.
I bought a kyocera hydro elite smartphone for a christmas gift for my husband on dec. 1, 2017
well he dropped and broke his other phone this past Friday so i gave him this new one he went and had it activated and the phone will not stay on keeps going off and on. I would like a refund for this phone been trying to reach you since Monday but noone will answer the phone and sent an e-mail and no answer so i would like my money put back on my card...i don't won't to open a case with paypal because i know there can always be something wrong with a phone that just slips by with no fault on your part ...but i had to go buy my husband a new phone yesterday so i would just like my money back...my order no. is 40315 [648795]
total protection insurance
I canceled this two months ago in the store. I tried to cancel through phone months ago, and thought it was canceled, but then was still be charged, which is why I finally went into the store. I haven't had this phone for two months now, and I don't even remember signing up for this! Why would I sign up for 2 different insurances on the same phone!? Cancel this, I am disputing the charges through my credit card company, I am reporting this to the BBB and I want my money back for the past two months at least!
insurance
This insurance is like a cancer that won't go away. I have tried to cancel it and it keeps coming back! Every month I get charged 7.99 and 9.99 for two phones that I have canceled months ago with Verizon. I have contacted the 1-800 numbers, submitted complaints and even have email correspondence that the insurance will be cancelled and my money refunded...but the charges keep coming back! I would highly discourage anyone from using the company EVER. You will never get rid of these insurance charges. I am thinking that I will have to completely close my credit card down and get a new one for these charges to stop.
I tried to cancel it also, but it took pure determination! Call DWP Claims & Billing at [protected] and hit number 2 for updating your credit card. This is the only way that I was able to speak to a person. I informed them that it is ridiculous that the cancellation number will not answer, and none of their email addresses work. I also let them know that I am just as sneaky as they are, that's why I hit the number 2 to update credit card info. I told Ethan from DWP that I want it cancelled today and to provide a confirmation number. It was finally handled and removed.
I hope this helps anyone in this position also!
Thank you! I called them and was told that they will be deleting my card number so there won't be further charges. Here's hoping it works!
Can you please provide me their number? I can't find information for Diamond Wireless anywhere other than being redirected to Victra. Which is the store I purchased my new phone from and they told me they couldn't cancel the insurance on my dead phone even though Victra bought out Diamond Wireless.
the verizon diamond wireless insurance is a complete scam
Been paying for insurance to them at 10.00 bucks a month since oct of 2014 . put in a claim to them July of 2017 and pretty much got the blow off and they found a away out of it . I explaind that i am handycaped and have no way or can i jump through the hoops that they are asking of me to do . All I get is the same, sorry charlie . Even if they did decide to do the right thing and cover it its a $ 200 dollar duductable . By the time you add it all up it is cheaper just to do your 24 months and up grade . Please dont fall for there BS and waste your money with . even thou there is the verizon name verizon says they are independent for they and wont lift a finger to help you .
deceptive and fraudulent practices
After my experience at my rating would be lower than your "stars" allow.
My wife and I - both long time Verizon customers - went to the Verizon Wireless- Diamond Wireless store at BJ's in Monroe NY because her phone was not receiving incoming calls. The woman at the desk did what she called a diagnosis (in 10 seconds) and said the phone could not be fixed and would have to be replaced, and it would be cheaper to just get a new phone. Although our contract with Verizon had several months left, I asked what it would cost to replace both of our phones. She said we could get 2 new Samsung Galaxy Core phones for 'about $100.00'. Since we were told my wife's phone could not be fixed we opted for that deal.
While waiting for her to transfer data from the old phones to the new, which seemed to take forever, we did a little shopping at BJ's, but when we were done she was still transferring data and we had to wait.
At some point another clerk asked my wife if she would sign on my behalf on a tablet. My wife said she could not sign my name but the clerk said just scribble something, it is not a big deal.
I find it more than strange that she would no ask me to sign my own name, and my wife did not mention this to me at the time.
When the data transfer was finally complete we were presented with our new phones, which, unexpectedly, had black protective covers on them. We commented that we preferred different color covers to distinguish the phones and she said black was all they had. The only prior conversation about protective covers was earlier when I noticed that the new phone was slightly different in size and our existing covers would not fit. The clerk said 'no problem, we have covers', but we never discussed choices or prices. But at this point, having been dealing with this for nearly 2 hours, we said OK.
When I asked for a receipt the clerk said the amount of the bill was $96.72 (consistent with the quote of $100.00) but that her printer was not working so she would email it to me. I never received it.
When I checked my online Verizon account a day or two late I discovered some shocking information. I had entered into contracts for $196.00 for each phone, had incurred $20 a upgrade fee per phone, and had purchased insurance from Asurion for $9.00/month per phone.
I contacted Leslie Jo Howard, a customer service pro at Verizon who looked into this and informed me as follows:
- my wife's phone was not broken; she had merely inadvertently switched on call forwarding, which was easy to correct.
- the $96.72 charge was not for the phones but just for 2 protective covers at $29.[protected]@ plus $36.74 in sales tax for the purchase of 2 $196.00 phones .
-the Samsung phones we bought were the most limited phones in the Samsung line.
- she could - and did - reactivate our old phones and transferred our data back (which took seconds instead of over an hour).
She emailed me copies of the 'contracts' for the charges and services, and asked me to verify my signatures on the contracts. I had never seen let alone signed these contracts. I turned out that one was the one that my wife had 'scribbled' on - just a wavy line. (All she was shown was the signature page, and admittedly she should have asked for more info or asked me, but that did not happen.) That contract included the Asurion insurance and upgrade fees, plus monthly charges of $50 per phone, the same plan we already had. The other 'contracts were signed with my initials, but not in my handwriting, in blue ink, an evidence of forgery.
Leslie Howard corrected the account, cancelling the phony contracts, and refunding any improper charges. I cannot say enough about her thoroughness and attention.
I have reported this to the local police and the Attorney General's Consumer Fraud Department, but my main concern is that people who engage in deceptive and fraudulent activities be properly punished. I hope the authorities act favorable. I know I will never use Diamond Wireless again and would discourage anyone from doing so.
broken iphone and refused to replace it
Terrible service and two horrible experiences at University Mall (Orem, Utah) store! My daughter's iPhone was broken, so we had my wife's old extra iPhone diagnosed and found it was working fine. So my wife and daughter went to Diamond to have the SIM card and data transferred and they blew out the motherboard. Then, they refused to admit it was their fault, claimed it was already broken, and would not replace the iPhone they themselves broke. Not only that, the manager was rude to my wife and daughter. This is the second negative experience we've had with these people. You're throwing dice when you go to Diamond. Instead go to a regular Verizon store such as the one in American Fork.
insurance
Purchased insurance for Droid phone with credit card that had auto renewal annually and had no idea they would continue to bill forever. Paying for this insurance monthly payment $7.99 for all of 2014 and 2015 and two months into 2016 before realizing that this was an insurance policy on a phone that I no longer and was also paying for insurance with Asurion via my verizon wireless bill for the smartphone. This was a result of buying insurance through a verizon wireless store which is private franchise and then buying from a verizon store -- there is a difference. In any event was paying $7.99 to Diamond for a total of $207.74 and had no idea this insurance policy was in effect. Asurion would not insure the new phone I bought for $800 due to 2 losses in a year and even though had been paying for the Diamond insurance they would not cover the loss of the new phone because (1) it was smartphone and payment was $2 more monthly, (2) I lost the phone out of the country. I cancelled the insurance the only thing they did for me was credit the two months of payment for 2016. It was my responsibility to know I had the insurance premium payment for ever -- so guess it was also my responsibility to let Diamond know that had upgraded phones. And there is no way for verizon to know you had insurance with Diamond when they sell you asurion coverage.
Same infinity charge. Canceled 2 lines over 1 year ago. 1 line remained active because i updated the CC info for final bill. I was offered pro rated $9.31 refund if recording proved i canceled both lines after a review.

protection program
I strongly urge anyone considering purchasing the insurance program to reconsider. Unless you have the most recent version of a phone, which is usually only a few months, they will send you a refurbished phone. The screen on my Samsung Galaxy 4S went out after 11 months of use. I paid the $100 deductible and got the "new" phone, which immediately had lots of problems with the screen and I learned it was actually a used, refurbished phone. After calling to complain, they sent me another phone that was obviously refurbished. It had about half the battery life it should and seemed to have a defective antenna. It dropped calls and often people couldn't hear me but I could hear them. After 3 weeks, it now won't make or receive phone calls. It works well as a handheld computer for texting and managing my schedule but is worthless as a phone. I then said I would go through the process again if they would promise to send me a new phone and was told that was not possible unless I had the newest model. In the year since I bought this phone, 3 new models have come out. The details of the insurance agreement state that "replacements are often new but may be reconditioned". However, I'm told that in my case it is extremely unlikely that I would get a new phone. I pursued a refund of my deductible since they didn't provide what was promised but was rejected because it was more than 14 days since the claim. My original complaint was in September and my client phone number is [protected]. I believe the resolution should be that this program should either follow through on their claim that "replacements are often new" (because surely "often" would mean at least 1 out of 3 would be new) or they should refund the $100 deductible I paid in order to receive defective replacement phones.
I've had Diamond Wireless for over 12 years. In that time, my family dropped and ruined their phones at least 8 times, and DWP has always promptly sent me new phones, with few questions. When I've called for service, it has not taken long to get help (compared to Verizon, which takes forever). I kept my original contract and just call the number provided, and get through. People who are upset will complain, so we see your reviews, but those of us who have had good service usually don't say anything because we're content. Perhaps I'm just fortunate in having had good service, but it's been consistent over these many years.
not a verizon store
Diamond Wireless located at 6191 South State Street #5508, Murray, Utah 84107. They pretend they are an actual Verizon Store, when in fact they are a re-seller of Verizon. We were lied to numerous time while upgrading our phones. Told we had to pay for our phone up-front that Verizon no longer let you put the phone price on your account, so we did. Only to...
