Unemployment payments
Can Someone Please help me
Dear Sir or Madam:
My name is James B. Hammill. I am currently collecting unemployment payments from Virginia. My social security number is [protected] and the Pin number I am currently using is 693513.
Today I checked my checking account which my unemployment funds are transferred to. Looking over my statement I saw that I have not received any unemployment for the month of May 2021 even though I have been submitting for my weekly unemployment over the phone each week in May 2021 and there was no indication there was any problems. My last unemployment payment was on April 28 2021.
I have been receiving unemployment benefits using the above Pin number since November 2020 with no issues.
I went online to the Virginia unemployment website. There was a message dated 1 May 2021 which stated: The VEC recently re-mailed you a copy of your PIN letter. Effective this weekend you will need this PIN # in order to complete your weekly continued claim filing. I never received this letter.
The only letter I received from Virginia Unemployment recently was a letter dated May 3rd 2021 which addressed only changes to job claims beginning the week of May 30th 2021 which requires I submit weekly job contacts made in my search of employment which I have attached.
Can you assist me in having the new Pin number mailed to me ? Once I have it will there be any problems in my receiving my May back unemployment payments ?
Also I have been receiving though April 28th $678 dollars a week. Is this correct ? I read on-line that the CARES Act provides an additional $600/week (FPUC) to supplement the state unemployment benefit through July 25. Should I be receiving this supplemental benefit?
Thanks for your assistance
James B. Hammill

You have failed the people of virginia!
Over 4 months with no assistance at all! Every time I try to call to speak to someone, the line disconnects after advising me to call again later. The new chat feature disconnects every time as well. We need to pay rent, bills, and get food. This is absolutely asinine and i'm beyond livid at our state government! Useless!
Lost pin
It's been 10 months I lost my PIN. I have been calling VEC on all nbers but I can't proceed with out PIN and there is no option of any representative, no option of anything. It simply hangs up. How this trash organization is working. I have no idea.
Desired outcome: I want my new pin
Threatening emails
My fiancé and I both have been receiving emails threatening us from gov2go.
Below you will see EXACTLY what we have been receiving every 2 weeks since Thanksgiving. We have tried to find out exactly what information that they need, but have not been successful. We have not even been able to figure out HOW to give them any information.
I used to have a mobile boat engine repair business, but with this "Pandemic" I have not only lost my business, I have lost many of my customers to covid-19, and now I'm being threatened with loosing unemployment AND with having to pay back what little I have received.
My fiancé, received her paperwork stating that she received $18k, when she didn't even get 1/2 of that. These people are just trying to take advantage of all of us.
Maybe it's just me, but I can't just sit by quietly while a hard working mom and/or dad is just trying their hardest to make sure that their kids don't go to bed hungry. I would rather go without, then to see a child go without, BUT... the government forced this upon this upon us therefor they NEED to step up to provide for us, I'm not saying that we should get a free ride on everything, but at the very least we should be able to pay our rent/mortgage, electric, internet, food, etc.
If I'm wrong, then please tell me that I'm wrong.
The Continued Assistance Act requires documentation of a recent attachment to the labor force for receipt of PUA benefits. You were notified of this requirement when filing a claim for payment on or after 12-27-20 and reminded as recently as last week. You still have not taken action on this item. In order to avoid a denial and overpayment of benefits paid back to week ending 1-2-21 please take care of this matter immediately.

Let's see.. Where do I begin with this dumpster fire of a social program? Basically, every single person in a leadership role at the vec needs to be fired immediately. I'm sorry to say that, I don't wish for someone else to end up in the same position im in, but the lack of accountability, accessibility, and empathy the vec has shown residence of the virginia who have been approved for assistance, have filed their claims, have tried to call every single number and write emails to every single address is absolutely fcking pathetic. People are dependent on this and the vec can't ever answer the gdamn phone. I havent done everything ive been told to do, filed every form, filed every week since march and haven't received a dime and I can't get a customer service rep to tell me why for 3 months. Their fraud department answers immediately. What does that tell you? In a week I called and left messages and sent emails to every single vec office in the state and not 1 got back in touch with me. In contrast, the non-profit organization that has taken up the class action lawsuit on our behalf has called me back twice, after leaving one message, and they literally have one woman doing their phones. The vec had been running on computer systems that hadn't been updated since the 1980's, yet millions of dollars a year have been allocated, not only from th, but from the federal government as well. Where exactly did all those funds go? They havent gone to us, and they havent gone to update their systems. Doesn't take too much of a leap in logic to assume that it's been going to feed the fat. Vec screw you. I might be homeless soon. As a single father. Ive sold everything I can. I want to be bitter, but at this point, I just hope you guys there choke on a bag of dicks.
Payment not received
I have not received my UI payment for week ending 05/15/2021. I have been call there [protected] for 3 days and can not get through. All it ever says is "All representative are busy". You can't even be put in a cue. I start calling at least 5 minutes before they are to open. What are Virginians to do to get answers. There has to be a better way to get a live person on the line.

I haven’t been able to file a claim since the last week in March . I called, been on hold for hours some days n it just hangs up. Other times I get a rep, redo the process and still nothing. It’s going on 2 months now. It’s not right and leaves me helpless. Who can help? I’m seeing lawsuits happening. Do I have to go that route to get what I deserve... I worked really hard before getting laid off due to the pandemic. I deserve what is lawfully mine until I find adequate work. Is a civil lawsuit my last resort?

Payment
My payments for PUA stopped in September 2020, due to them recalculating weekly amounts. I was still due payments from September 2020 til January 2021. I was told that although there was a delay in processing the claim, if I elected to receive benefits I could, and if they found me ineligible (which I wasn't), I would be forced to repay. I attempted to call and chat with them multiple times, to no avail to help. I than proceeded to REFILE the claim, and was than given a second monetary determination. To no avail I was still unable to reach the office to process my claim. I am due from September 2020 until January 2021.
Desired outcome: Payment

I filed over the phone at least 10 times but I would re-check and those weeks would re-appear. I then went online and filed received conformation numbers but No payments. I have been trying for months to reach the customer service dept at [protected], for months. Please help. No payment in 7 weeks.
No answer and nothing in mail for unemployment claim
Live in WV but told to file Virginia. Have filed claim since February everyweek. I even filed for the week worked part time. I have not recd anything in mail/online. I diid not quit Lowes left due to 15 hrs more they demanded each week over my 40-50 hrs. we talked and I was told that was what I needed to work and I would have stayed if they could have scheduled for the 40-50 hours I was hired for. If i was denied for that i have not recd anything in mail. Lowes could have since I quit, but I should at least have the opportunity to appeal that if that is the case. I said I would stay for 2 weeks but that I couldn't work the hours over and above what they hired me fore. I have approx 13-14 weeks filed. no one answers phone. Do not know how to get an anppointment offices not open. I have called everyday for over 2 months now. you wait and wait and go through all the cues than it says call back. I don't know what else to do.

My name is DyVaun Clark. I am a homeowner and taxpayer in the city of Newport News, VA. I worked a seasoning job for UPS from November 16 through December 31st 2020. I tried to apply for unemployment after my separation from UPS and was told that an investigation had to be conducted because it appeared that I quit my job. I supplied the Human Resources phone number for UPS and informed Paula Byrd, CWDP from the VEC that it was a seasonal job that ended. I have not been able to submit a claim from the automated service, nor have I been able to get in touch with anyone. The system just hangs up. Its been 4 months and I can't even submit a claim and I am still unemployed. I need someone to assist me with this issue.
Desired outcome: Able to Submit Unemployment Claims

Waiting almost a year for benefits
I was told by the VEC that I had to close a case that I have open with TX unemployment in order to have my case reopened and my payments sent to me. I closed my case with TX unemployment months ago and emailed as well as explained that I closed my case with the TX unemployment. I was told that my case would be reopened and back benefits paid. I still have nothing. I has been almost a year. I really need my money, I've done everything asked. I also found out in my separation issue from Indotranix that my employment with there was valid. So for the 4 weeks that I worked for them I was over paid with VEC. I also wanted to say that I had Covid in March and April of 2020, I also have been home because my children's can not attend school no longer because the school is now online and I have to baby sitter to watch him because of the Covid 19. I would please like my case reopened and my benefits sent to me. Thank you Marlene Hood Rector 8839 - 8 Mulberry Ln, Fredericksburg VA 22406. My phone # [protected].
Desired outcome: Please pay my benefits to me.
My unemployment benefits
On may 3rd 2020 I was fired while under a state ordered quarantine. During that time my boss was mad because he had to pay me while I was under quarantine and he terminated my employment. I filed for unemployment. This was 2nd time. The first time was in 2019 but I got a job so that claim was never followed through on. I recieved my unemployment until oct 2020 at which time it stopped. I continued to file weekly and received notices that there was an error in the system. I recieved a letter to reapply I did. I recieved more letters with my pin and also a letter for monetary determination. I have yet to receive anything since oct 2020. I am about to lose everything. I took a loan out on my car to pay rent in hope's my benefits would start back now the loan is in default and I will lose my car. Next will be our eviction. Regardless of any orders that have been put in place landlords are still evicting people. I have 440.00 a month to feed my family from snap benefits and nothing else. None of us should be experiencing this when we are entitled to this money. I've worked 36 years of my life to have to fight for what i'm entitled to and losing everything in your process along with thousands of other families.
Desired outcome: My benefits to be paid accordingly
I am complaining about the vec failure to respond

I called and was informed there was an outstanding issue on my account that had to be reviewed by a deputy. Here it is April 9, 2020 and I still have not received any information about my claim. I have reached out countless times to try to rectify this issue to no avail. Please I need assistance in this matter you can contact me at [protected]@gmail.com. thank you for your time and patience

Unemployment
I filed for my unemployment weekly benefits
On March the 28th for week of 21st to 27th. It said it was accepted. I hung up. Never got my direct deposit. I thought ok it was a Fluke. So this past Sunday 4th of April I went to file for my benefits and it prompted me to file the previous week and the week of 28th to 4th of April. So I did so. Botha weeks were filed.
Again have not gotten my direct deposit. And this now 2 weeks. No money. I have called all numbers that I can find on the web for VEC and can not get a hold of someone. WTH. This not acceptable at all. I need to get a hold of someone to see what is going on. Please.
Thank you

Desired outcome: Some please contact me with a number or phone call
Hello. So don't ask me how but I got ahold of an agent on the VEC chat today. They told me that, In a nutshell, individuals like you and I are waiting for a deputy to review our case once that is completed, and they find no issues the funds will be released and to keep filing my weekly claims until that time. WELL, here's the kicker... Some people have been waiting for four-plus months still that were told the SAME thing! I have no idea if or when they will be reviewed and gone through.
