My mom is 89 years old and has received a call every day for the last 10 days from a company identified on the caller I.D. as Vitelity, LLC. Their number is 210-2129 with no area code identification. Mom has a hard time hearing but she said they keep telling her they need her SS#.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Please go to http://vitelity.com and fill out the Abuse form on our contact page so we can investigate which of our customers is making the phone calls so we can put a stop to it.
Vitelity is a telephone carrier like at&t and Century Linkthat provides service to companies who do telemarketing. We will stop any abuse if you can provide the number on the caller ID and your number that was called.
I get calls from Vitelity LLC 5-6x daily. They start out telling me they are the "leading processors of VISA & MC" and "have a huge money making opportunity for people like me that want to start their own business". Problem is, I already bought into this scam last year, when they used a different name, and the caller persuaded me to give her $200 for their training package. "Swear on Jesus, Mary, Joseph & the Bible" and "On God's honor, you will have your money back in 1 week by just giving us the names and addresses of 25 businesses in your area that accept VISA or MC". Like a fool I bought in, got the names, but all they were interested in when I called my "trainer" back was selling me an upgrade to the program for $1, 495. So I filed complaints here and on other complaint boards and with the Dept of Pro Reg, and called my "trainer" obsessively until I got a full refund. But a year later they are calling again! We are on the DO NOT CALL LIST and I tell them this with every call, but they keep calling anyway, so per our attorneys advice, we document the time and number of every call. Really want their number? You'll actually DO something about it? Well here, it's [protected]. I went to the vitelity.com webpage you refer to and do not find any place to make my complaint. I found no link that might apply other than Legal, and that had no options for people like us that are sick & tired of being harassed. Tell me where to write to YOU an actual person, and I will do so, as I feel I'm doing you a service.
Here is the link: http://www.vitelity.com/headquarters/ it is listed as the Contact page at the top of every page. On that page are specific instructions on how to file an abuse complaint. You need to provide the number that is calling as well as your number and we can resolve this issue immediately. Thank you.
In their Terms & Conditions, they specifically prohibit spoofing. From their website: "At any time for any reason without notice, we can suspend or terminate any Service(s) for the following reason(s) that warrant such action: ... (9) “Spoofing” or falsely displaying outbound Caller ID (CID) to any payment numbers, utility numbers, police numbers, government agency numbers, or any other emergency service number."
Interesting how it completely fails to mention spoofing your number when calling an individual or business in order to scam them. I think it speaks volumes on how much they care about any complaints they get from anyone who can't put them in any legal or financial trouble.
They're a bunch of scammers and dirtbags. Don't EVER answer a phone call from them!
