How wageworks suspended my card
My card was suspended after I took my children to the dentist I supplied ample proof and several pictures of receipts to prove where the money went apparently wageworks is not smart enough to read a receipt wageworks is completely ridiculous they are not honest they are Crooks and should be completely ashamed of their selves! My company that I work for even sent them proof the dentist office wrote out several more receipts and told me to tell them to call them wageworks said they would not call or talk to no one.
Horrible customer service, cheats people out of money
I lost my metro card. Immediately, I called customer service and asked the representative to explain the process to get a replacement. She ignored my question & proceeded to put me on hold. I was put on hold 3 more times just to be told that I was denied for a replacement.
I called again and got another evasive representative, but this time he advised me to buy another pass and send in my receipt for 'possible' reimbursement! The money for my pass is deducted each pay from my check, why should I have to foot the bill for a new one?! There is no clear information on the site on how to replace a lost or stolen pass. No one is giving me a clear answer on what the protocol is. There seems to be no system for this sort of issue besides them stealing money.
I will be buying my own passes from now on!
You are typically responsible for the cost of a new pass to be issued if you lose it. Your information should transfer over to the new pass when it's received.
Cobra insurance coverage
I was layed off in July and the company I worked for offered me continued health care coverage thru Cobra / Conexis / Wageworks. I signed up and started making payments to Wageworks. I was informed that I would be able to use my same insurance provider (Anthem), just as I had been previously. Well Conexis never informed Anthem that my policy was reactivated. So I was forced to pay all my medical expenses out of pocket. I made dozens of phone calls to find out why I was not receiving coverage. They kept me on the run around for over 4 months even though I was continuing to make my monthly payments to Wageworks. Well they never resolved the issue so I requested a backdated cancellation of the whole contract since I had never received any medical coverage and my Anthem insurance was never reactivated. After another month and dozens more phone calls I was told I would receive refund in 30 days. Its now going on 2 months since I cancelled my contract with Wageworks and they have not issued my refund which is $795.15.
Cobra administration
This company is the worst. I would recommend to anyone to stay away from them. At the end of my employment, my employer issued a check for the full amount of premium for the COBRA continuation coverage for a period of 6 months. My insurance worked for about the first 4 months but in the last 2 months, for some unexplained reason, they kept showing my coverage as cancelled retroactively to the effective date; although they had already been paid close to $12, 000 for 6 months worth of coverage. I kept calling to resolve the problem. Their customer service representatives do not know what they're doing and are not well trained. They can't even speak or understand English very well. They kept telling me the problem was fixed which was not true. I had to keep paying out of pocket every time we had to go to the doctor. They don't seem to have enough customer service reps either. You need a lot of time and patience to deal with them on the phone and should consider yourself lucky if they fix your problem by the end of the call. If they need to transfer your call to another department, be ready to wait a long time and don't be surprised if the call disconnects after your long wait and you have to call back again to explain your problem to another rep that knows even less about your problem.
Wageworks has failed to reactivate health insurance under cobra
Wageworks has failed to activate health insurance even though they have received all paperwork and received and cashed two months payment for health insurance.
Cobra eligibility began on 9/2/17.
Waterworks provided documentation on 9/8.
Coverage was processed and confirmed on 9/12.
Coupon book was provided and payment sent for both the moths of Sept and Oct 17 on 9/18.
Check cashed and payment confirmed by Wageworks on 9/25.
When trying to fill a prescription on 9/28 I found that my health insurance was not activated. I followed up with Cigna and they confirmed that they had received nothing from Wageworks. I followed up with Wageworks on the next business day 10/2 and explained the issue and the urgent health issue with the prescription. They said they would process by end of business that day 5pm EST. Following up on 10/3 with both parties Cigna still did not have what was required from Wageworks but provided me with their employer administration line and said that if Wageworks would call them they could get this resolved. Called Wageworks again and Wageworks stated that they are not able to place outside calls and that all they can do is resubmit the same request again.
Following with Cigna again on 10/5 still nothing received from Wageworks, still no insurance. I have paid for two full months and have ended up paying out of pocket for health costs that should have been covered. Cigna has indicated that Wageworks is failing to provide a form that is legally required for Cobra.
At this point I see no other options but to 1) refer this to the Dept of Labor to see if they can help to overcome Wageworks inability to pick up the phone and call the insurance company to resolve the issue 2) call my local media rep who likes to take on and make these types of issues public and 3) ultimately consult with legal to see if I can at least get my money back as it pretty clear that I had no health insurance in Sept and will l not have any in Oct either even though I have paid for both. Seems like fraud to me.
To obtain resolution:
1) Contact your former employer and ask them to resolve. WageWorks is employed by them so it is ultimately their responsibility to address this.
2) If your employer is not able to resolve the issue contact the federal department of labor and file a Cobra complaint. I found them to be most pleasant and helpful.
WageWorks lack of responsive to customer issues is not acceptable. Above are the recommended steps to take to get the issue resolved by third parties
We are going through exactly the same thing. But I am out 4 months worth. Had 90 day prescriptions so just found out yesterday. They NEVER reinstated insurance after husband retired even though they assured us there was no problem. I’m thinking this is fraud.
Dependent care account
On May 21st I became eligible for Benefits through my employer, I signed up for the $5000 deductions for my son's daycare. He was born on May 29th. I went on leave May 29th, I was lucky because my company provided me with a paid leave of 12 weeks, therefore they deducted bi-weekly deductions from my paychecks while I was on leave. I returned to work, my son went to daycare on August 21st. I filled a claim for his daycare expenses of $1465.00, this was denied because it was not within the May 21st-May 28th period (clearly I would not be sending my unborn child to daycare during this time, that's why you have maternity leave). I would also clearly not be incurring $1, 369.98 in a week of daycare costs. It has now taken over three weeks for anyone to understand and resolve this issue. Very unethical given they are holding $1, 300 in expenses that I cannot get reimbursed for, I would NOT recommend this company for any employer, I have previously used Discovery Benefits, they have a very efficient.
Customer service
I have been retired for 6 years, and don't like to complain about things, but I must speak out on the knowledge of the products you service. I am enrolled in the premium reimbursement program with my previous employer. when my account was being handle by Benefit Concepts I had no problems, once your company took over I have had a problem every time I submitted a claim. I usually fax my claims in and they accepted that way, along with receipts from the health insurance company, and my bank statement to prove they have been paid. Last month my claim was denied so I called to find out why, I was told I have submit online and then copy and paste each claim separately. Now today I called to find out when the refund will be deposited into my account, I was told I had maxed out my account so I will not be receiving my refund. when I informed the person I was a retiree, and I suppose to be receiving benefit until my death, she asked me to hold on, she then came back and informed me m;y refund for the next quarter will be deposited into my account in October, I told her I am not asking about a claim I haven't even submitted yet, I wanted to know about the claim for the past quarter. by now she was totally confused. so rather then get mad I said goodbye and hung up. I am writing to please ask you to PLEASE train you people better, they are not knowledgeable enough to do their job.
Use of the debit card
At random intervals, the debit card used to access my FSA is declined. When customer service responds to the issue, they claim it is an issue with their system and next time I should call first so they can watch the transaction and see what is wrong. Considering that a call results in a half hour hold time, this is unacceptable.
To be succinct, Wageworks is claimed as a benefit, but is unusable as such.
Denied me my rights! To get me my prescription!
I went to see my doctor he wrote, me some prescriptions, I tried to use my wagework card it was suspended, I called wageworks and spoke with customer service and a manager, they both told me I needed to send some receipts in from my previous visits to the doctor, I told them I already sent them in, they said they didn't get them and that is the reason for the suspension of my account, 1st let me say I pay for my FSA through my job and the government, and second for wageworks to denie me my medical benefits at a time when I need it the most is not right, I'm in dire need of my medicine at this time and have no way to get it, I don't have no money, my medicine is only $42.00, I have $468 on my account, and for this to happen, when I pay and the government pays is not legally right I will be calling my layer to file some charges on this company and the better business bureau, and the Congress and the Senate, to file a formal complaint and have this business held accountable for everything they do wrong to people in need, there are several complaints on file as I'm writing this one, and I will seek a class action lawsuit on this company and make them and there associates my for damages they have created on my life and health. [protected]@gmail. com my name is Thomas Eubanks and if anyone wants to join in please feel free to contact me, good reedens!
Check delayed multiple times over 4 months
The worst company I have ever dealt with! I have made multiple phone calls about recovery of my approved medical expenses from 2016. It is now June 26 2017. They are the benefits company for HCA, but they have no way to interact with them to correct a service problem, rather they have use HCA address system which has two addresses lines but Thier separate check writing company which mails the checks can only use one line. If you have multiple line address you don't get paid. They then can't use the HCA contact information to contact you. You need to provide them with it separately. They do everything as difficult as possible to hold on to your money. A horrible company
Verify almost every purchase from doctors you see every month!!!
if you don't submit receipts for doctors you constantly see, your card is suspended. I will lose my money at the end of the year. I can't get the receipts and my card is suspended.
I had this card for 4 years, and never had this issue before.
Disenroll me now, so I don't lose all my money.
I NEED MEDICINES I DONT HAVE MONEY FOR, BECAUSE I PUT THE MAX ON THIS CARD NOW ITS SUSPENDED AND I CANT GET THE RECEIPTS
I will never use this again.
Please help
Me. I need my medicine and don't have any money but have $1000.00 OF MY MONEY sitting on this card I can't use.
No customer service process or skills exist at wageworks
On numerous occasions when trying to contact their customer service team (first via phone with multiple CS agent refusals to assist with a late reimbursement for parking), they start by asking you to contact them by phone where you reach CS agents that do not speak understandable English, the CS agents refuse or state that they are unable to help, followed by 'there is no one here that can assist with your problem, call your own organization representatives'. Trying the on-line CS process only results with the circular reference stating that they cannot help you and that you must make direct contact with a CS agent thru the 1-800 #; yeah right. Their late reimbursement (of my money - i.e., withdrawals from my paycheck in advance) cost me overdraft fees of $36+.
I will never use their services again!
Cobra - cashed my check, then terminated coverage without notice — 4 months later
I am so sorry, they did the same to me.
I paid my COBRA bill for November 2016. I have proof of that. Coverage was still dropped without my knowledge and refund check was sent 3 months later.
I believe that WAGEWORKs has exploited and discriminated against me because of my disability and that is why my appeal for wrongful termination has been DENIED. They will not allow me to repeal WAGEWORKS decision of denying my appeal against WRONGFUL TERMINATION OF COVERAGE without filing a lawsuit.
And yet my appeal against this termination was DENIED. I made my cobra payment, then they terminated the insurance coverage for medical and extended the dental coverage an additional month for no reason with no notice and how I found out i was terminated was I got a refund check 4 months post payment of my medical coverage stating that I owed them 51 dollars for dental coverage. Now all the services I thought I was covered for (because I paid by bill) that wageworks cashed are no longer covered or paid for and went to collections. I filed an appeal and they denied it because they stated I owed them for dental coverage, despite my proof of payments. They do not allow for a rebuttal of their decision, they said if I want to challenge their denial of my appeal I would have to sue. I have no funds for a lawyer, they know this, they exploit and abuse their power any chance they can - they even denied a HIPPA form so that when I am too ill my mother could not advocate for me. Thanks for reading our story, Josephine Barnett and Maria Strocchia, her mother who has HIPPA authorization as Josephine do not always have the capacity to speak or which WAGEWORKS have taken FULL advantage of by prolonging HIPPA for her mother, wrongful termination, and denying her appeal.
Does not reimburse my order
I got enrolled into the commute program through work.
During the 6 months process, not only their customer service rep does not understand the issue, providing me wrong information, they also deleted my account. They DELETED my entire account, and claimed i have never enrolled. Case being forwarded to their tech lead (not a CS rep, and does not know how to handle customer), and i provided 13 pages of proof, they still can't figure out the issue. They basically re-created my entire account and asked me to get my reimbursement through special handling. And shortly after i filed the special handling reimbursement forms, i was denied reimbursement - reason being i didn't submit receipt (which is not true as i quickly forwarded to the same tech lead, and he said he'll follow up). After all the above process, the tech lead informed me that the ONLY way i can get reimbursement is if my order was placed in the same month as my commute program month. Why would I go and make an order that's out of my pocket when wageworks did process part of my order, and i can use that for the time being. And why would i go out to make another order when i am not even sure what's going on with my account. After more than 5 hrs wait with CS, more than 8 phone calls, 4 faxes (w/ different documents), and countless email back and forth. I think i am just going to ask my company (a large financial service company) to change provider if this is what they employees getting.
No cobra coverage and paid 2 premiums!
Made 61 calls to wageworks; conference calls with aetna and wageworks - paid 2 premiums already for cobra is money si with wageworks and aetna sisn't receive docs cust reps provide contradicting stories - claim that docs were sent to aetna and none of them were received by aetna - supervisors hide behind senseless procedures - my medical bills are piling up and nobody at wage works can fix this error - spent hours on the phone with them - everyone is incompetent and doesn't care about the customer - I have no coverage and nobody at wageworks knows how to fix it - IRRESPONSIBLE BEHAVIOR horrific !
HI - Same happened to me, it is just awful. Here is my story... I believe that WAGEWORKs has exploited and discriminated against me because of my disability and that is why my appeal for wrongful termination has been DENIED. I paid my bill for November 2016. Flexible spending account
Constantly denies claims and asks for receipts from reputable companies. Ie: eye doctors and dentists. Suspend card services and takes days to get re instated. Once receipts have been approved it takes up to 7 days to get card reinstated, this should be automatic. Then they try to blame it on the government. This is their issue, because if it keeps happening, they would initiate meetings to keep their customers happy, Instead, it is there goal to try to keep our money. Thats how they make money, hoping you will slip up or stop using them and leave the money. As long as it remains in their accounts, they are collecting interest, not us. customer service is useless, they just keep repeating the policy and do nothing to try to assist you. They should be labeled company reps, not customer service reps. There is not service, only dictators of their company policies. Useless...
fsa
Sent me a balance reminder email to my work email stating I still have funds to use. Tried to get a prescription but transaction denied called their customer service only to be told I have $0 available. Makes no sense to me at all. Terrible customer service could barely understand who I was speaking to I sure hope they don't take out that money from my last check when they will not let me use it.
Cobra administration
I sent in a payment mid November for December 2016 COBRA coverage (clearly marked on the check) and they say it was applied to September. I said why would you apply it to a past period of time. They answer the coverage was retroactive. I said I know I could've had coverage back then but couldn't afford it. So I finally signed up just before the 60 day window closed and selected my insurance coverage. In mid November I pay the first premium and they applied it to September. And they will not refund the money. Seems like a scam to me. Thank God I payed only the first premium before calling to verify active coverage or a second payment would have been applied to October. Obviously having coverage in past months is not helpful in the here and now particularly since I had no claims to submit for those months. In other words, they are not allowing me to determine when my COBRA starts. I understand it is only 18 months and in my case would be 15 since I elected to sign up 3 months late, but that should be my choice - NOT WageWorks!

This company is a bunch of crooks from another country. I have sent them my receipts twice and they still claim they have not received them..I called and spoke with them and demanded that they unblock my card and that my fax went thru to them and I have the fax confirmation that they received it. I demanded to speak with a Manager..well he was a joke..his name is Carlo at [protected] ext/code 109. I told him to give me another number to fax my receipts to and he gave me a ref number and a new fax number with attention to Serena. I am going to file a complaint with the BBB and alert my employer. They have blocked my card(with my own personal money on it not theres) ..They are a bunch of crooks..the fax number they gave me was [protected]...They need to be put out of BUSINESS...I am MAD as all get out...How can you hold my money HOSTAGE..ridiculous.
Wage works has 3 ways to submit receipts, Fax, Online upload of scanned documents to .pdf or you can download the EZreceipts app on your phone. Must Admit not only one way is the right way.

I am going through the same thing also. I have sent proof 4 times and still is denied. Wants me to pay my own money back. I have proved that I used it the right way. Asked today about getting what I have already put in the account back and said that I could not. They are holding my money hostage. Why should I pay myself back for expenses that the card paid for. This is crazy how they run this business. Once this year is up, I will never use them again.
I completely agree with everything you are saying! I have had and am again having the very same experience! When I try to log in it says it cant find me too! They don't allow hardly any snail mailing - they don't use your phone number to call you about urgent matters even though they say they need it for that - seems the only way to get any info is through online and even there there is no where to write our concerns or confusion. They said they sent an email telling me my card was going to be suspended but no info was in my email, only a link that says it couldn't find me so I could log on...etc. etc. I only found out when I went to pick up a prescription that my card was denied. After being held hostage for an hour and a half on the phone at work while the girl kept saying she was talking with people to resolve my problem she then asked me if I wanted to talk to a supervisor! I was so burnt out, had been without my meds for day 3, and said there was no way I had the energy to repeat everything all over again. She told me the answer she got was to tell me to send them $605.00 and then send them a reimbursement form to get the $605.00 back when I don't even know if my receipt i sent them is acceptable since the online submission keeps saying my receipt is denied. Their claim forms for dispute just ask about dispute with the vendor when my dispute is with Wage Works! The vendor has done everything correct.
