Complaint about cashier employee behavior at Sunrise Walmart store number #1007
Respected Sir/Mam,
Pranav Sukhadiya here. I am writing this email to make a complaint about a Walmart store which is located at 1400 Ottawa St S, Kitchener, ON N2E 4E2. The store number is #1007.
I went there today at around 10:10. I was at the self checkout and I noticed 2 of your employees were staring at us because our cart was full. While I was scanning everything in my cart one of the employees from self checkout side approached me and asked me "are you about to use employee card then you have to show ID as well." She was assuming that I am using employee card. Even I didn't take out any card. I replied her that "I have an employee card of my friend but I will not gonna use it. So, don't worry about it. We would pay full amount without scanning any employee card."
I addressed it by myself. So, she called somebody who was wearing civilian dress. He was probably security guard of Walmart in civilian dress. She might told him to keep an eye on us but not sure though. And then after they both were staring us like we are shop lifters and we are trying to steal something from Walmart. I know that Sunrise Walmart is on number one in Kitchener-Waterloo region for shop lifting and lots of theft and I heard that as well that Sunrise Walmart is running in 4.5 million loss because of shop lifting issues cause this Walmart has 20 self checkout counter and only 4 with cashier counter.
Still that doesn't mean that Walmart employees are considering each customers as a shop lifters. As I told that I will not use employee card of my friend. Do not worry about it. After that they must have to keep an eye on me from little far distance, instead of that one female employee came to us and started to monitoring us just beside us not even 2 meter distance, closer than that. And that security guard in civilian dress, he also came to our self checkout side and both started to staring us weirdly. We felt harrased. They were inactively harrassing us which is not acceptable. I never ever feel this before. But this time it is super disrespectful.
I know cause Walmart is the one who always believe in customer satisfaction. Walmart believes that their customers are their assets. But this time I feel super down. Please take some action on this and hire some skilled employees instead of anybody who doesn't even know how to treat customers and not all are same.
And when we had done with payment that female employee went to check in machine in front of us to making sure that we didn't use employee card or we are lying.
To be honest I tried to check their name tag but I couldn't see their name. Sorry for that.
Please take a look into this matter and hoping to hear from you soon.
Review of Walmart Canada: Frustrating, Subpar Customer Service and Lack of Diversity
My experience with Walmart Canada has been extremely frustrating and disappointing. While I used to appreciate the store for its affordability, I've come to realize that cheap doesn't always mean good quality. In fact, I've found that Walmart often sells substandard items, such as products that don't match their indicated weight or grams or ounces. Additionally, their customer service leaves much to be desired, whether it's in their pharmacies or at cashiers and customer service counters.
One of the biggest issues I've encountered is the lack of diversity in their stores, particularly in the Lower Mainland where there seems to be a dominance of one ethnic group. While not all members of this group exhibit these behaviors, I've found that many of Walmart's employees in this area are lazy and filled with excuses. They often try to sell customers on Walmart credit cards and have even been known to pick on people they suspect might be thieves, which creates an unwelcome shopping experience for everyone. As a country that prides itself on cultural diversity, this is unacceptable.
Even worse, Walmart staff seem to make excuses and ignore the complaints of their customers even though many have reported similar negative experiences. Despite the subpar customer service and high prices for certain items, shoppers continue to flock to Walmart. It's a shame that the Waltons won't make any changes to improve their employees' attitudes or the store's overall shopping experience.
In addition, many Walmart employees are underpaid, leading to a lack of motivation and frequent absences from the sales floor. I've personally witnessed employees who hide in the shoe department or hardware area rather than helping customers. And if an employee promises to check on something for you in the warehouse, don't hold your breath—chances are, you won't see them again.
What's even more concerning is the behavior of some Walmart managers and supervisors. Many of these key personnel come from one ethnic group, and some of them have been known to treat customers and fellow employees poorly. For example, the manager of the New Westminster, BC 6th street branch has been called "uncle" by his employees, who claim that they all come from one village in Punjab. This type of behavior is not acceptable in any workplace.
Overall, I would caution people against shopping at Walmart Canada. No business that treats its customers and employees poorly deserves our hard-earned money. Let's hold Walmart accountable for their behavior and encourage them to create a better shopping experience for everyone.
Mixed experience shopping at Walmart Canada: Inconsistent pricing, discontinued items, and mediocre customer service
When it comes to shopping at Walmart Canada, my experience has been a bit mixed over time. Initially, I was happy about having a big-box store nearby to cater to my shopping needs - especially considering other businesses around my area were steadily closing down. However, as time went by, my opinion changed drastically.
While the store had all the products I normally purchased, the prices were hit or miss. Some items were reasonably priced, while others were absurdly expensive - not unlike most other stores in Canada, which I believe is thanks to our corrupt government. Even more frustratingly, Walmart Canada discontinued a bunch of items that I regularly bought. Several examples include Ozonol ointment and TSP - an affordable, industrial-strength cleaner that lasted for months. My displeasure with Walmart skyrocketed when they stopped stocking adult Liquid Orajel, which was an essential item for me.
If that wasn't bad enough, Walmart Canada's customer service has left a lot to be desired. I won't go into details here, but in general, it feels like they are understaffed and not always attentive to their customers' needs.
Overall, I think Walmart Canada needs to step up their game. If they don't improve their prices, bring back discontinued items, and improve their customer service, they may need to pack up and move out. The bottom line is, customers like me just want to be able to shop conveniently and affordably without facing constant disappointments.
Disappointing Experience with Walmart.ca: Failed Promises and Mistakes
Hey there, I'd like to share my recent experience with Walmart Canada (walmart.ca) that left me extremely disappointed. It all started when I stumbled upon an error on their website, advertising a 128gb black web flash drive for only $19.99. Despite knowing that this was likely a mistake, I hoped that Walmart would uphold the scanning code of practice and decided to visit my local store in Belleville to ask for help. Thankfully, the ladies at the store were incredibly helpful and dialed the online customer service number for me.
After verifying the advertised product and its price with the associate on the phone, I was told that I would need to increase my purchase or pay for shipping to obtain the flash drive at the discounted price. No problem, I agreed to purchase two instead and waited for them to arrive in the mail. However, when I opened the package, I was shocked to see that I had received 32gb flash drives instead of the promised 128gb ones. Although I was polite and understanding, I immediately called their customer service again with my original ticket number and was promised that my order would be corrected. I re-ordered the flash drives as advised, and yet once again received two 32gb flash drives in the mail.
After spending several hours on the phone with customer service, I was told that they would not compensate me or uphold the scanning code of practice. To make matters worse, they had now fixed the website and were not offering compensation to anyone who had ordered the incorrect product. They even suggested that I return the items to my local store for a refund instead of solving the issue at hand.
When I spoke to a supervisor named "Simon #664075", I informed him that I had recorded our conversation and would not stop until I received either my promised order or adequate compensation for my wasted time. Strangely enough, he informed me that Walmart's policy was to not speak to anyone who recorded their phone calls. However, this was too late as I had already recorded five phone calls with Walmart, two of which had their associates promising me the correct order.
In summary, my experience with Walmart Canada (walmart.ca) was frustrating and disappointing. Despite their errors and promises, they failed to uphold their own policies and codes of practice. I hope that they will take responsibility for their mistakes and provide their customers with better service in the future.
Poor Customer Service Experience with Walmart Canada: A Review
My experience with Walmart Canada (walmart.ca) was less than satisfactory. I made a purchase on October 21st, but did not receive an e-mail confirmation. The next day, I called customer service, only to be told that they had not received any order under my name. Frustrated, I reordered the item, but still did not receive a confirmation. Despite this, the item was delivered a few days later. I then finally received an e-mail stating that my order had been shipped, but the item was delivered a second time, causing more confusion.
According to Walmart's website, because the purchase was from a third-party seller, I had to contact the seller. However, after contacting the seller, I received no response. After calling Walmart multiple times, I was finally able to obtain a return label, but was informed that I had to pay for the shipping costs, even though the error was Walmart's fault. After several attempts to get the issue resolved, Walmart eventually agreed to send me money to cover the shipping costs. When I received the money, I returned the item and was told that a refund had been approved for $114.92, even though I had paid $164.92.
Since then, I have been trying to get Walmart to refund the difference of $56.50, but have been given the runaround, making a total of 20 calls to customer service. I have been told that the issue has been escalated to the finance department, but have yet to be contacted, leaving me feeling frustrated and deceived. The lack of transparency has led me to believe that Walmart has no intention of refunding the difference.
The customer service I have received has been the worst I have experienced. I am incredibly disappointed and will not be making any future purchases from Walmart.ca or visiting Walmart stores if I can avoid it. I hope that they will take steps to improve their customer service, as this type of treatment is unacceptable.
Walmart's Online Customer Service Falls Short: A Frustrated Shopper's Experience
As a dedicated Walmart shopper, I have always appreciated the retailer's unbeatable prices and wide selection of products. However, when it comes to making purchases online, I have unfortunately experienced a fair number of problems with the company's customer service.
One particularly frustrating incident involved a video baby monitor that my mother had ordered to be shipped to my house. Upon its arrival, I discovered that the monitor we received was not the one we had ordered; Walmart had charged my mother for the more expensive video monitor but had shipped a cheaper, non-video one instead. After calling customer service to rectify the situation, I was met with an unhelpful and downright rude representative who offered us little more than the option to return the monitor by mail. When I decided to visit my local Walmart store in person to speak with someone, the in-person customer service was much more pleasant and helpful.
This is not the first time I've had issues with Walmart's online customer service. On a separate occasion, an item that I had purchased was accidentally refunded to my account, but the company still shipped it out. When I called to explain the situation, the representative was combative and hung up on me when I asked to speak to a supervisor.
Unfortunately, these are not isolated incidents. I've had several other negative experiences with Walmart's online customer service, to the point where I now avoid making online purchases from the retailer altogether. It's a shame, as I am a loyal in-store shopper, but the consistently poor treatment by online customer service is simply not worth it.
Overall, I recommend that buyers consider shopping with other online retailers that prioritize excellent customer service and accuracy in order fulfillment. It's frustrating to spend your hard-earned money only to be treated poorly by a retailer and have to jump through hoops to fix their mistakes. Walmart has lost out on thousands of dollars in purchases from myself and my family members due to their inadequate online customer service. I hope in the future they can improve their online operations to reflect the same positive experience I've had as an in-store shopper.
Nightmarish Experience with Walmart Canada: Poor Customer Service, Lack of Transparency, No Refund
My experience with Walmart Canada (walmart.ca) was a complete nightmare. I ordered a phone case and screen protector from Walmart directly, not a third party, on January 3rd. While the case did ship a couple of days late, I wasn't too bothered by the slight delay. However, FedEx seemed to have issues finding my house, even though it is located on a very busy, well-known road. As a result, it took several delivery attempts before my package finally arrived. When I called Walmart customer service to discuss the issue, I was shocked to learn that they couldn't provide me with any information since they don't offer tracking numbers – a lack of transparency that left me feeling frustrated and anxious.
The situation with the screen protector was even worse. I received an email on January 13th, the day after it was supposed to arrive, telling me that my item was "stuck in processing" and provided no indication of a new shipping date. I promptly contacted customer service, but the representative I spoke to informed me that they couldn't do anything about it, and they were passing the issue on to their escalation team, who would get back to me within 2-3 business days with a resolution. Alas, days passed by without any response, and all I received was another email stating that my item was still "stuck in processing" with no new delivery date in sight.
After contacting customer service numerous times and requesting a refund, I was told that they couldn't provide me with one, as the issue was with their escalation team, and their hands were tied. They assured me that the escalation team would contact me with a resolution soon. However, after my fourth call, I was told they didn't even have my phone number on file! It was shocking to hear this since I had confirmed my phone number with the previous representatives I spoke with. I was left to wonder if they were stalling or not. Finally, on my fifth call, I was able to speak with a supervisor, but unfortunately, he couldn't offer me a refund straight away. Instead, he put me on hold to speak with the elusive "escalation team" himself, who informed him that the issue had been passed up to another group to deal with, and a refund was not possible. I asked to be transferred to the escalation team, but this was not allowed. I was told that my request for a refund had been sent to the new team that had taken over the case and that they would call me within six days with a final resolution.
Today, after over two months, six phone calls, and no call back, I received an email in the early hours of the morning. It informed me that my screen protector had shipped, which was not what I wanted, and even worse was the second email that followed it. It was a refund for a measly one cent. I immediately called customer service again, and the representative informed me that they had no information on the refund credit. However, after some digging, they discovered it was an "authorization and settlement" and wouldn't provide me with any further explanation or details beyond that.
The level of customer service that I received from Walmart Canada was simply unacceptable. I am appalled by their lack of transparency, and their inability to honour my request for a refund. Even now, after all this time, I still haven't received a satisfactory resolution to my problem. I will never order from Walmart Canada again and strongly advise others against doing so.
Walmart Mobile App Review: Lost Discounts and Poor Customer Service
As a shopper, I recently came across an ad for Walmart promoting their mobile app. It sounded great! They promised me four discounts of $15 each on my first four online purchases. So naturally, I signed up for walmart.ca and installed the mobile app. My first online order was about $280, but I made the mistake of forgetting to enter the coupon code. Not a terrible mishap, I thought, since I’d still get the next three $15 discounts. But then Walmart informed me that not all products were available, and my final cost was only $180. To make up for the inconvenience, Walmart sent me a $10 voucher to redeem online.
Feeling good about the service I received in-store, I decided to make another purchase of about $300 worth of meats, fruits, eggs, and veggies. Everything was going smoothly until I tried to use the $10 voucher on a $75 purchase for the products that were missing from my last order. The checkout system wouldn’t accept the coupon, nor would it take the discount codes promised to me when I initially downloaded the app. After making a call to customer service, they informed me that because I had forgotten to use the first coupon, I would no longer be entitled to the remaining three discounts.
At this point, I was frustrated and confused as I had earned these discounts by signing up and downloading their app. The customer service rep couldn’t give me a satisfactory answer as to why taking away all of my earned discounts was fair, and instead only reiterated how their system worked. When I pushed back, the rep suggested that I sign up with a different email address to receive another set of discount coupons. In other words, he didn’t care about the system’s errors and instead just wanted me to sign up again.
As a customer, I was taken aback by the reps dismissive attitude towards my issue. Instead of being met with an understanding approach, I was met with a lack of concern for my complaint entirely. When I expressed my disbelief, the rep turned it back on me and said he would hang up if I used a swear word again.
At this point, I’m hoping someone with higher authority sees this post and corrects the issue. While I appreciate the efforts Walmart made to try and make up for their error, they never should’ve taken away my discounts earned through my personal information and downloading of their app. In all fairness, I believe that they should also give me something extra to compensate for this mistake and the resulting runaround.
Sincerely,
Russ
A Mix-Up at Walmart Canada: A Review of My Shopping Experience
Walmart Canada (walmart.ca) is a go-to destination for many families, including my own. Recently, I had the opportunity to visit Walmart to pick up a new stroller that was ready for me to claim. I was excited to get this item, though I'll admit that I'm not usually one to get excited about things for babies.
When I arrived at the store, I called the number provided to claim my item. After securing my two young children on my hip and hand, we made our way into the store through the automatic doors. As I waited for the person on the other end of the line to assist me, I couldn't help but notice the store-wide announcements and music streaming through the speakers. We waited patiently in the crowded checkout area, watching as other shoppers went by with their newly purchased items.
Finally, a man approached us with a box in hand. Though I was happy to finally have my stroller, we were both surprised that it could fit into such a small, light box. We joked that it could be the most compactly folded stroller ever made. However, after opening the box, we discovered it wasn't a stroller at all, but rather a kitchen pot. We laughed together at the mix-up, wondering how it could have happened. The man quickly cancelled my order and suggested that I place a new order in the correct size.
I had a bit of a bargainer's heart, so I asked if it was possible to have the stroller shipped to my house to avoid having to make another trip to the store. He asked me how much it would be, and I input my address into my phone to see what kind of shipping refund I would qualify for. As we waited for the results, his phone rang and he asked if he could take the call. I agreed, and checked out my order on my phone beside him.
After a short conversation with someone else, the man returned to me and asked how I was doing. I told him that my order qualified for free shipping all along, which he seemed happy to hear. We thanked each other and said goodbye.
As we walked back to our car, I joked with my older daughter about how we could have pushed her sister around in the kitchen pot instead. It was a small hiccup in an otherwise pleasant experience shopping at Walmart Canada. With a wide selection of items and helpful staff, I will definitely be returning to this store for my future family needs.
Extremely dissatisfied with Walmart Canada & TForce's online ordering and shipping system
I recently had a very frustrating experience with Walmart Canada's online ordering system and their shipping company TForce. I ordered a pack of storage bins to be delivered by Tuesday, April 16th, giving me plenty of time to pack up my belongings and move by Friday, April 19th. However, my package was not delivered on time, despite frequent updates through the tracking app.
I contacted customer service and was initially compensated with a $10 eVoucher for another online purchase, which was not ideal but appreciated. However, my package never arrived, and subsequent calls to TForce and Walmart Canada provided no clear answers or solutions. I was promised several times that my package would arrive or that I would be contacted with updates, but I never received any follow-up.
When I called Walmart Canada to request a refund, they informed me that an eVoucher had already been issued, and they could not issue a refund until the item had been returned to the warehouse. I found this frustrating, as it seemed unlikely that the package would be located for return if it couldn't be found for delivery. Despite repeated inquiries, I have yet to hear any updates on this matter.
Overall, I am extremely dissatisfied with the poor customer service and lack of resolution provided by Walmart Canada and TForce. It seems that no effort has been made to address or fix this issue, which is frustrating and disappointing to say the least. I hope that these companies take more responsibility for their online ordering and shipping processes in the future, and work to provide better customer service and solutions to those who run into similar issues.
If you are considering ordering from Walmart Canada or using TForce for shipping, I would strongly caution against it based on my experience. There are likely more reliable and trustworthy companies out there that can provide a better online shopping experience.
Disappointing Experience at Walmart: Unprofessional Attitude of Worker During Product Return
As a frequent shopper at Walmart, I was disappointed with my recent experience while attempting to return an item I had ordered online. Upon approaching the self-checkout area, I asked an associate for assistance and was directed to a specific area for returns. However, as I made my way to the designated line, I was met with an unprofessional and rude worker.
The worker, an older woman, was helping an older Hispanic gentleman with his return. I noticed that she looked at me with annoyance and, in a terse tone, informed me that the line was for returns only. I politely replied that I was aware of that fact. However, the worker continued to make snarky comments directed towards both myself and other customers in line. For instance, when a couple joined the line behind me, she exclaimed that they also had returns and that the line was strictly for those with items to return.
The worker's negative attitude extended to other customers, as well. She scolded a lady returning a mascara and even snapped at another customer who had simply inquired about returns. Her behavior made it clear that she was having a bad day and taking it out on the customers.
When it was finally my turn to make a return, the worker informed me that I had to go to customer service because my return was an online purchase. I was surprised because I had done a similar transaction at the same register in the past. Nevertheless, the worker insisted that she could not help me and that I had no choice but to come back the next day. I even asked if she could ask the customer service manager for assistance, but she refused.
Overall, I believe that Walmart needs to devote more resources to adequately staff during busy times, such as the day after Christmas. Additionally, it is essential that employees are trained to handle customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner. As a retail manager myself, I would never allow my employees to speak to our customers in such a hostile and disrespectful way. Walmart should prioritize customer relationships and ensure that all employees are treating everyone with respect and kindness.
While I have encountered a few helpful and knowledgeable employees at Walmart, I must admit that most of the staff lacks the necessary training and expertise to assist customers adequately. However, I continue shopping at Walmart because I enjoy the products they offer. Nevertheless, I urge the company to pay closer attention to their customers' needs and ensure that their interactions with employees are always positive and respectful.
Walmart Canada Complaints 10
Review of Walmart Canada's Online Store and Customer Service: An Unacceptable Experience
My experience with Walmart Canada's online store, walmart.ca, has been nothing but disappointing. I placed an order for a crib on November 23 with an estimated arrival date of November 28, which seemed reasonable. However, after waiting until December 2, I decided to contact their customer service team to inquire about the delay. The agent I spoke to, named "Heart," offered to have her supervisor call me back within an hour, but I never received that call.
The following day, on December 3, I contacted walmart.ca again and spoke with an agent named "Jey-ar," who promised to escalate my issue and send me an email within 24 hours. He also informed me that there was no record of my previous call with "Heart," which made me wonder if her assistance had truly been futile.
Eventually, I received an email on December 3 confirming that the package was being shipped with a tracking number provided. Unfortunately, as of today, I have still not received my order. Walmart.ca uses CANPAR as their courier, but when I tried to use the tracking number to locate my package, there was no updated information available. I reached out to CANPAR twice but was put on hold for more than an hour both times with no response.
It took ten days for anyone to even attempt to address my order after I placed it, and if it wasn't for "Jey-ar," I might still not know what's going on with it. Now, more than two weeks after I ordered the crib, I am left with no idea where it is or when I will receive it. When I reached out to the Walmart.ca customer service team again, they didn't offer to expedite my shipment or help me locate my order, but instead only offered to cancel it.
Not only has this whole ordeal caused a great deal of stress and inconvenience, but my baby is due to arrive next week, and I need the crib to be ready for their arrival. It's clear that Walmart.ca's management is not up to par, and I'm incredibly disappointed with the lack of customer service I've received. I highly advise anyone looking to make a timely purchase to avoid shopping at Walmart.ca.
Poor Service and Mistakes: My Disappointing Experience with Walmart Canada's Online Ordering
and take no accountability for their mistakes. This is unacceptable, especially for a big-name retailer such as Walmart Canada.
I was extremely disappointed with the lack of customer service and support. It's frustrating to have to continuously call and follow up on an order that should have been a simple store pickup. Not to mention, having to deal with damaged items and unclear communication on top of it all.
I hope that Walmart Canada takes a long, hard look at the issues within their online ordering system and makes the necessary improvements to ensure a smoother and more pleasant experience for their customers. Until then, I cannot recommend using their online service for any purchases.
Disappointing Experience with Walmart Canada's Customer Service: A Flood Victim's Story
Dear readers,
I want to share with you my recent experience at Walmart Canada's website, Walmart.ca. As a long-time loyal customer of Walmart, I have always been happy and satisfied with the great products and exceptional service they provide. Unfortunately, my most recent visit to the physical store was disheartening and frustrating.
As a victim of the recent floods in Laval, Quebec, I was given a certificate from the Red Cross for provisions at any Walmart store of my choice until I can move back home. I was excited to choose the Walmart on Robert Bourassa Street in Laval, Quebec to do my groceries, and the certificate provided to me was for $260.
To my surprise, the manager named Hafiz told me that the difference between the amount of the certificate and the cost of my groceries could not be given back to me. She even removed certain items from my cart so that I could pay less than $260. However, this is contrary to the recommendation of the Red Cross, who stated that flood victims should use all the allocated money and Walmart should not shortchange its customers.
As someone who had a long day at work and was stressed about where my family and I would be sleeping due to the floods, I didn't have the energy to argue with Ms. Hafiz. Unfortunately, Ms. Hafiz even made the situation worse by chatting with her colleagues while we were waiting for assistance. When we informed her that we were leaving, instead of resolving the issue in a humane and compassionate way, she showed us the door with no remorse.
As a result of this experience, I am a very dissatisfied customer. I have never judged Walmart from one person representative before, but today, I felt hurt and disrespected. It's disappointing to see a manager at such a popular brand act in such an unprofessional manner towards people who are already going through a difficult time.
It is my hope that Walmart will take this feedback and improve their customer service skills and train their employees to be empathetic and understanding, especially when dealing with customers facing a crisis. I hope my experience serves as a reminder that businesses should not forget the human aspect of their customer service.
Sincerely,
Marie

Unreliable and disorganized: My frustrating experience with Walmart.ca online service
I recently had an extremely frustrating experience with Walmart Canada's online service (walmart.ca). After scouring the internet for weeks trying to find a specific patio furniture set (Hometrends Tuscany II 5 Piece Wicker Chat Set) that was seemingly out of stock everywhere, I finally managed to place an order with Walmart. The delivery date was set for June 10, 2021, but after not receiving any updates, I decided to call Walmart's customer service to inquire about my order's status. The representative I spoke with escalated my order to the corresponding department, promising a response within 24-48 hours.
Despite my willingness to wait for an update, Walmart went ahead and issued a refund without my consent or explanation. According to them, my furniture was supposedly lost in transit, yet I had spoken to the delivery company the day before and knew this was not the case. I can't help but suspect that Walmart simply did not have enough stock to fulfill all their orders and cancelled mine because I asked for an update. It's alarming to think that without my phone call, my order could have been sitting in limbo indefinitely.
To add insult to injury, Walmart's only offered solution was for me to keep trying to reorder the furniture set, which was now out of stock. Living in Toronto, where spring/summer is very short, the idea of not having patio furniture to enjoy during the warmer months is incredibly disappointing. I rely on online ordering for many of my household needs due to the pandemic, and Walmart's lack of accountability and transparency has left me feeling frustrated and let down.
I caution others to think twice before trusting Walmart's online ordering and delivery system, as it appears to be unreliable and disorganized. In my experience, the company doesn't take into account the limitations and demands of living through a pandemic and continues to disappoint customers with lackluster service. It's a waste of time and energy to deal with a company that doesn't value their customers or their time.
Walmart Canada Review: Terrible Service and No Resolution in Sight. Avoid at All Costs
When it comes to Walmart Canada, my experience was far from positive. In fact, if I could give them less than one star, I would. Their service is simply terrible, with no resolution in sight. I found their customer service phone line to be completely useless, and even speaking to management was a waste of time. The entire situation was so stressful, I regretted shopping with them in the first place. My advice? Avoid Walmart Canada and buy your items through Amazon or a different retailer altogether.
One particular order that stood out involved a bassinet that my family had gifted me for my soon-to-be-born baby. After waiting eagerly for the online order to arrive, I received a notification that stated my delivery had not been made, as the driver couldn't find my location. I then called UPS and confirmed my address and exact intersection and provided clear instructions on how to get to the front door, which wasn't at all complicated.
Two days later, I received confirmation that the package had been delivered, yet it was nowhere to be found. After calling back and forth multiple times, they finally realized that they delivered it to the wrong address - an address that wasn't even remotely close in resemblance! Needless to say, my wife was extremely upset and stressed, given that she is pregnant and close to her due date. We were expecting a bassinet for our soon-to-be born baby, and this mistake on their part caused so much unnecessary stress. Even receiving a measly $10 voucher didn't appease us. It only added insult to injury when the customer service representative asked us for a good review in the phone survey! After 10+ calls, we ultimately decided to request a refund instead and take our business elsewhere.
The second order involved a stroller set that got lost in transit. Despite making many calls to try and unravel the issue, we were constantly given the run-around. Eventually, we were informed that the item was lost and refunded us with no explanation as to why. This was frustrating, as we paid for the item because we needed it, but they simply refunded us without any consultation.
Overall, our experience with Walmart Canada was incredibly negative, and we wouldn't recommend their services to anyone.
Poor Customer Service By Walmart: Refund Hassle for Acer Tablet Purchase
Recently, I purchased an Acer tablet for my 80 year old stepfather's birthday from Walmart Canada. Unfortunately, the tablet was not holding its charge and my stepdad wanted to upgrade to a Samsung tablet from the same store. We soon found out that it was 3 days after the 30 day warranty and the customer service person advised an elderly man to call Acer about the issue. My parents tried to call Acer but faced difficulties with reading the tablet's writing. I called Walmart and expressed my disappointment in how they treated two elderly people during a pandemic. The representative listened to my frustration and offered to return the item.
When my husband and stepfather went to return the tablet, they were informed that the item could not be returned without the box as the code on the back was needed. Luckily, we had kept the box from when we bought two of the same Acer tablets. However, it was still a hassle to get a refund for an item that was barely a month old. I was appalled by the customer service provided by Walmart during a time when the elderly are most vulnerable.
I was previously under the impression that Walmart had a good return policy, but this experience has left me extremely dissatisfied. The manager chastised me on my demeanor, even though I had not raised my voice or used foul language. It was so disappointing to have to fight to get a refund for such a recent purchase. With so many small businesses suffering during this pandemic, I expected more consideration from a large chain like Walmart. I will never be returning to that store again.
Disappointing Experience with Walmart Canada's Pharmacy: Lack of Communication and Poor Process
My experience with Walmart Canada's pharmacy was unfortunately quite disappointing. My husband had called in the morning for a refill prescription, and was told it would be ready for pick up in the afternoon. When I went to pick it up at 5PM, I was informed that they didn't have the medication in stock, despite being told it would be ready earlier in the day. After some back and forth, I was informed that the medication would be ready in five minutes, but then was told that I would have to pay nearly $200 for a medication that was supposed to be covered by OHIP. This was not an issue when we had refilled the medication the month prior.
To make matters worse, I had to wait for over an hour while they went back and forth trying to find the medication. It became clear that the staff was disorganized and poorly trained when they informed me that they didn't have enough medication to complete my refill. They suggested that I go to another pharmacy to get the rest of the medication, which was frustrating after waiting for over an hour.
On top of all this, I overheard one staff member threatening to walk out because her reliever had not yet arrived. This display of unprofessionalism was not what I was hoping to encounter while getting medication for my family.
Overall, the staff at Walmart Canada's pharmacy seemed more focused on profits than compassion for their patients. They have poor communication and processes in place, and I was left feeling frustrated and unheard. While I appreciate that the pharmacy is open during the holiday season and has late hours, I would not recommend their services based on my experience.
Walmart Canada's Poor Customer Service and Unfulfilled Promises
I recently had a disappointing experience shopping at Walmart Canada, specifically their website (walmart.ca). As part of their Boxing Day sale, I found a great deal on an Instant Pot 8 qt. that I knew would make for the perfect Christmas gift. I opted for in-store pickup and made my purchase on November 19th, 2021, with a pickup date set for December 11th, 2021.
However, when that date came and went, I didn't receive any updates on my order. I noticed that the item had arrived in Calgary and was en route to the store for pickup, but I wasn't given confirmation that I could actually retrieve it. After several calls to customer service, I was eventually directed to an escalation team who couldn't provide me with any answers about what happened to my order. I suggested that the item was available at other stores and asked if they could redirect it to one of those, but they dismissed my suggestion and insisted that it wasn't allocated to my order.
Time continued to pass and I was left without a gift to place under the tree. In frustration, I went to buy another Instant Pot at full price from another Walmart, assuming that I would eventually receive the one I had ordered and then I could simply return the extra item. However, to my surprise, I received an email AFTER Christmas stating that my order had been cancelled and refunded with no communication or explanation from the retailer.
Not only was I disappointed about not receiving the product I had paid for, but also the poor customer service I experienced along the way. It felt like Walmart had no consideration for the promises they made to their customers, such as the sale price they had advertised. It became clear to me that they were more concerned about making a profit than taking care of their clientele.
As a result of this experience, I decided not to support Walmart Canada anymore and took my business elsewhere. I have since seen that they also have a terrible customer service rating - it's clear that upper management doesn't prioritize it as a priority. In the end, the lesson learned is that Walmart's online shopping can't be trusted, and it's frustrating to get answers or handle any transaction properly as they should have. I believe that Walmart should have allocated an Instant Pot for me at another store and sent me a coupon to use on a future purchase as an apology. Still, instead of making something right, they chose to cancel my order without giving me any choice in the matter.
In conclusion, I would not recommend shopping at Walmart Canada. There are plenty of other retailers out there that value their customer's time and money and whose customer service reputation precedes them.
Walmart.ca's Customer Service Falls Short: Disappointing Experience with Delivery and Damaged Goods
I recently had a disappointing experience with Walmart Canada's online shopping platform, walmart.ca. After ordering a 6ft Lifetime folding picnic table weighing 97lbs, I was eagerly awaiting its arrival. However, after a few weeks had passed and my order had not arrived, I decided to give Walmart's customer service hotline a call.
Sadly, my experience with their customer service team was lacklustre at best. Despite having a tracking number, which I had not received an email notification for like my other items, there was no information available about where my package was. I was informed that I should wait until next week for an update. After waiting for another ten days and calling in again, I was told the exact same thing.
Frustrated by the lack of progress with Walmart's customer service, I decided to take matters into my own hands and called CanPar myself. To my dismay, I discovered that my package had been found sitting unclaimed with no tracking or address tag. CanPar were waiting for someone to get in touch with them to find it so they could continue shipping. Walmart had done nothing to help me, and they were completely unaware of the situation.
Four days after contacting CanPar, the table top finally arrived, but it was severely damaged. I wanted to refuse delivery, but the driver just noted the damage on the delivery slip and left. Upon opening the box, I found that everything was there, but the table top was dented. I raised my concerns with Walmart via email, attaching photos of the damage and the box's condition on delivery, and asked them to do something to resolve the situation.
Unfortunately, their response completely ignored everything I had written. Instead, they suggested that I return the item in good condition with all the original packing and box. This was impossible given the size and weight of the package. It made me even more frustrated with their customer service as they clearly didn't understand the severity of the situation.
In conclusion, my experience with Walmart Canada's online shopping was extremely disappointing. Their customer service team was unhelpful, and their lack of concern about the condition of the item upon arrival was unacceptable. Moving forward, I will be more cautious when shopping online with Walmart, and I would not recommend this experience to others.
Unsatisfactory Experience with Walmart Canada's Online Store - Lack of Communication and Resolution
I recently had a less than satisfactory experience with Walmart Canada's online store. I placed an order for an item for my car on April 15th, 2022, and became concerned when my order had not yet been processed two days later. I contacted customer service and was informed that they would reach out to the seller to determine the issue and that I would receive an update within one day. Unfortunately, I did not receive any updates from either the seller or Walmart.
On April 18th, 2022, I contacted customer service again and explained the situation. After our call ended, I received an email from Walmart stating that my order had been cancelled due to the items being no longer available and that they would credit my account. However, when I checked my online account with HSBC, the amount of $144.24, which I had paid for the items from Walmart, was still showing. The next day, the charge from Walmart for $144.24 went through on my account, which led me to contact HSBC customer service.
The representative informed me that I would need to speak with Walmart customer service to resolve the matter. Once again, I contacted Walmart and explained the situation. The representative I spoke with promised to send a message to HSBC to have my account credited for the amount. Sadly, my account has yet to be credited to this day.
Dissatisfied with the runaround, I received from both companies; I informed HSBC that it wasn't their fault that the charge went through to Walmart. Eventually, HSBC agreed to escalate the matter to their dispute department and sent me paperwork to fill out by email. The representative informed me that it could take anywhere from 30 to 60 days, depending on the response from Walmart.
Based on this experience and a past incident in which a similar occurrence took place within a five-month period, I would caution others against purchasing items online from Walmart Canada. The lack of communication and the unclear resolutions provided have left me in a state of frustration and disappointment.
