Missing payment & proof of payment, account status
Hi my name is Charleshia Ramsey,
I originally was with American Financial. I made a Payment on 2/24/2023 the day Westlake bought out American Car Center/American Financial. I have multiple forms of proof of payment, including a confirmation of payment email from American Financial & have emailed the proof multiple times to where I was told to. I am not behind on payments & my account says otherwise still after showing proof. I should not have to be worrying or stressed that my car may be repossessed & I have made the payments. This is very frustrating, the whole situation waking up one day under a new financing company, not knowing much about them & sending payments still knowing the situation hasn’t been handled (my account being brought current). If my car is repossessed & I have paid my car note I will have no choice but to sue. I keep calling the company & can’t reach any one now but was able to discuss the issue with customer service three times no one handled anything according to my account information & I haven’t received an email back from Westlake yet. Been trying to prove since 3/1/2023 today is 3/22/2023
Desired outcome: I would like a response to the multiple emails sent out, my next payment due March 24th 2023 waived for the inconvenience & very unprofessional in the switch in companies without knowledge

My name Channing Collins, I bought a Jeep Compass from CarMax in mid to late October. I had my first payment was due on November 27, 2022 that I was unable financial to pay. As of yesterday my December payment is also due now. I have spoken with Westlake several times trying to explain my hardship. Every person I spoke with was adamant and firm that I needed to make the first car payment or they would take the car from me. I am sure you all hear a lot of sad stories and unfortunate situations how please allow me the grace to explain what has happened since I took this job with the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services.
So let me explain why I have not been able to make the payment
I have a lot of health issues since COVID and my new job with the Illinois Department of Children & Family Services has not been accommodating at all to my disability and providing reasonable accommodations per the American Disability Act. On October 25, 2022 to November 9, 2022 my job put me on mandate leave of absence because they said they could not accommodate the restrictions I was put on by one of my doctors. I did not get paid for any of the dates listed as I’m still new and have not accrued any paid time off. They again put me on mandated leave from November 23rd to November 28th, again not paid and they for a third time put me on mandated leave starting 12-5 and it does not appear I’ll be going back as they refused to provide accommodations due to my disability.
If I was working my take home monthly income would be $5800 net $8333 gross; being repeatedly placed on mandated leave of absence and not getting paid.
I made a payment but it was returned. I have a payment set up for next week on January 12, 2023 for the November payment which is more than 30 days late.
I know I am no different from others who are not making their car payments but I have had a serious of unexpected circumstances due to my disability following COVID 19 infection.
Desired outcome: If November and December be forgiven or added to the back of my loan this will financially help me out a great deal to allow me to get on my feet.
Safety inspection
I purchased a 2014 GMC Sierra 1500 on August 30th from Sterling McCall GMC here in Houston and with a ton of Promises and a Forged State inspections paperwork the dealership and Westlake Financial refuses to uphold their agreement even though one of the major issues was that the vehicle was delivered with no oil in the motor five quarts low to be exact. The headlights didnt switch from high to low they had only one setting because a failed headlight switch which was notated to be fixed prior to purchase. These two issues alone would fail any State inspection test, but nonetheless the truck had a passed State inspection document inside the truck from the dealership. I spoke to reps at Westlake and received information on how to combat this issue all to call days shortly after to be told I was out of time. The dealership and bank both have an obligation to ME AS A CONSUMER. AND SAFETY IS ONE OF THEM. I WILL BE CONTACTING CONSUMER FINANCIAL PROTECTION BUREAU ASAP!
Desired outcome: GET OUT OF THIS TRUCK AND LOAN AGREEMENT

Truck was repod on the 6th of November owing 242.00 no other past due payments truck was on a 20 day impound on the 20th day I went to pay the 382 or something like that to get my truck out of impound wen I did I was informed u guys had picked it up wen I called u guys u said u had repod my vehicle becuz it was in impound but the thing is u didn’t have to go get the truck I was going to the very next day wen I was allowed to the truck was not left there I had been in contact with the tow yard several times while it was there they were fully aware that I was going to go get the truck at the rnd of the 20 days wen in the 6 th of November u guys repod then wen I called asking questions the guy I was talking to was very rude and impair isn’t u have the recording as well as I do I was simply trying to understand wat happening n why I was more then willing to pay the tow yard fees and the 242 dollars I still owed on my monthly bill I have had a total of I think 19 payments with u guys with the exception of one payment late I think I might be wrong I might have paid it with in the grace period and I read ur policy saying that u guys were allowing us to skip a payment or more and put them twards the end of the loan but ur guys were rude I asked for a manager n he was even wors then the first guy he got loud with me becuz I asked him wat exactly it was that was paid to the tow yard n becuz he had already gave me a long list of charges and fees I had to now pay due to the repo I was unsure of wat was paid to them he demanded I get a pencil cuz he had already told me these things so now I needed tow right them down he kept getting upset wen I would ask any questions n wen I said I’m sorry sir but I am not pay 1600 dollars today there’s no way specially wen I feel like the truck shouldn’t of been repos in the first place had u left it where it was I’d have it today but becuz u went one day before I could I’m stuck with 1100 more then I should be and wen I asked for help cuz I can only pay maybe half that today I’m treated like I’m on the street corner begging for change almost like u dnt want my biz any more like us rather take my truck then keep me as a costumer I’m so confused and dumb founded n not knowing wat I’m going to do now becuz that’s the family’s o ly means of transportation with two kids I. School and two working parents that now can’t get to work all becuz of why I’m still not given any answered other then becuz the car was in impound now I understand u have the rights to go get it but I mean why would u with out contacting me to see wat my planes were if I was going to get it or just leaving it there and if I was going to go get it why would u repo it then charge me 1100 more then I would of had to pay in the first place I feel robbed

I was off work and was unable to pay a few months of my car payment and my account went in rep mode. .I called Westlake Financial services and I talked to a gentleman who said he could not help me.after bieing STRESS out and trying to figure out how I could make arrangements to keep my car.and get it out of repo mode .After being stress out more by his comments.I called Westlake Financial Services the same day and I talked to Anthony Gonzalez who was very understanding with my situation . and said he would work with me to resolve my problem .I"m very appreciate of Mr Anthony Gonzalez on how he handle my situation.and the way he work with me.and the way he conduct himself in a professional manner no like the gentleman I had talked to earlier..I"m back to work now and I can make my payments on a regular basis .Thanks to MR Anthony Gonzales I can keep my car and get it out from Repo Mode.
Repossession
My Consumer rights have been violated.
Harassment with phone calls, violation of my TCPA rights, misinformation from each rude different representative. No repossession notice for being delinquent 60days - Before they can repossess goods from you on the grounds that you've defaulted under your contract, the lender must send you (and any guarantor) a repossession warning notice at least 15 days before they repossess. (These used to be called “pre-possession notices”.)
Unnecessary late fees.
Desired outcome: Refund of all unlawful fees acquired. Better consumer protection.
Take them to court. There long list of right violations is astonishing. I hope anyone whose been with this company recover everything that was taken by them.
Not communicating unnecessary tow stolen property
I never thought that I would have to do this but after being seriously injured and in the hospital I never received any communication from the finance company at all and normally they reach out through mail email text message I received nothing the whole entire time I was sick and in the hospital the day I was released is the same day that they picked up my vehicle I immediately called and let them know that I needed to know where they taking my vehicle because all of my personal belongings were in my vehicle well because they refuse to let me know where my vehicle was for so long I had to cancel my debit cards because all of my financial information was in there I just cashed a couple of checks that money was in there I had gifts that I purchased that were in my car I had actually broken a portion of my back and my tailbone and so I knew I was not going to be able to drive to pick up my car here it is many weeks it has been over a month since and they still barely have given me the information for my vehicle I have already paid what I owed I had enough time to wait for my new debit card to come in make a payment and I still do not have my vehicle and I don't have my personal belongings because the same day they picked up my vehicle is the same day they cleaned out my vehicle I need all of my personal belongings I need my vehicle and I need this headache to be gone and removed from my life because what I've experienced was way way hard and this is adding to it no one should have to endure what I have gone through with this company I had never been late I have never missed a payment and the one time that I did was because I was truly in like I was not able to not once did they think about reaching out to one of their good customers and say hey I know that you have said but we're just checking on you not once did they do that not one single time and they hide behind you wanted to cease and desist know the season desist was for the phone calls because they were harassing me at work for absolutely no reason and I have never been late on a payment but versus they've always sent text messages they've always sent emails and they've always sent correspondence through the mail however the one time that I feel behind they had not sent me anything nothing in the mail no text message no telephone call no email nothing nothing so why would someone want to do business with them the reputation that they have in town is that they're horrible they're horrible at communicating they are horrible at following up and they are horrible at making sure that the companies that they do business with as well as their clients are taking care of real quick to have a handout but they do nothing to help someone that's doing the right thing for them so at this point I am being encouraged to seek legal counsel but you know it's going to take a lot more than me that's got complaints against this company because I am just one person but I have read a lot of people going through the same situation that I have had to deal with so how does a company like this stay in business hurts my feelings to the core because what I owed in a payment is less than what it's going to cost me to try to replace everything that I've lost I can't even enter into my own residence because they have taken my house keys I feel violated so now I have to Encore the cost to have locks changed also my garage and garage door opener personal items gifts I was pregnant with twins and lost my kids in my accident and had gifts for them in my back seat I should be able to dispose or do with those things as I see fit or choose to but they had my vehicle cleaned out in less than 24 hours of picking it up they're supposed to store my items and tell me where they are they have not done any of that. They have not done any of it I want my items I want to move on with my life and I want to be done with Westlake Financial
Desired outcome: A Call from someone at corporate that can resolve my issue ASAP. I want ALL of my PERSONAL property returned. We should probably talk about how to make the customer experience better

Wrongful repo
We purchased 2017 infinity car for my 21 year old son in college, the dealer got him approved from the west lake finance. We set up auto pay for his monthly payment and was current. Police stopped him and charged him for street racing, in fact he was bullied by some other guys at school. Other party got away 100mph and when my son turned his car to get away from them, police was there and got him. Police impounded his car for 30 days, we will fight this in court which is not until December 21st. We waited 30 days to get the police release and get the car out from the tow yard which would have cost us $53 a day. We put $1000 down and made about 3 payments and my son really like the car. We were willing to get it out. We found out west lake repossessed it. Never called us never sent an e mail which they claimed they did. They didn't let us speak saying my son is the only one can talk to them. First they ask my son to pay repossessed fee of $378 said the car is in auction yard. They asked him to pay another $1500. I am a single mother work full time as a hair stylist and I paid all these with my hard earn money as my son is a chemical engineering student At UCR wanted him to have his car back, been paying for Uber for him to go to school. We paid as they asked on the 26th October so far we do not have the car. My son calling back and forth to west lake and the tow yard. Tow yard says they didn't have the release from west lake and west lake says they sent it to them. My son asked for a copy of the release and they say they cannot give it to him. They are scammers. Our next payment coming up on the 7th and I don't trust them to pay another payment without having the car back. I would like to get the money back and let the car go at this point. My son is on medication for anxiety and this is triggering his condition and been to doctor few times. Even I could not sleep last few days. Please help!

22 days repo
I was tested positive for COVID for 3 weeks I’ve called to let someone one, scheduled a later date to pay but still was tested positive for COVID so I was unable to go to work. This is my ONLY payment that’s 22 days late, I’ve called to let someone know that I would be able to make a payment the end of the week because I went back to work in order for me to work I need my car. But they still want to process a repo for my car when I’ve proved that I would be able to pay. Westlake customer service are very rude and disrespectful and not very much understanding to people needs. Life happens and I feel they should at least give people 30 or 3 consecutive late payments to process a repo just like other banks do.

Took my car home from the dealership Aug 4th, 2022.
I recieved my weird welcome call on September 12,2022 with out any prior calls or bill payment options prior saying I’m late. Made a payment with a confirmation number and for some reason the dealership had an extra set of keys. Took my car while i was working and didnt tell me anything. I refinanced with a nother company and the dealership and westlake are still giving me no answer.
It’s feels like a complete set up between the 2 of them. Fraud and i gave a down payment

Car loan with them and they blow up my phone all day every day even when no payment is due.. then threaten and send people to put letters o. My door.. then I wouldn't refinance so they started making threats ever since saying I'm always behind when I'm not.. they won't send me a true copy of the contract either they blow up my phone email and text 7 days a week.. stats at 8am till 8 pm

car payments
This is not the first time I have had an issue with Westlake not processing my payment. I pay on time every month using the same debit card, I get a confirmation email, I see money has come out from my account "pending", next thing I know I get an email from Westlake saying, I owe two months' payment and late fees within the same month I have already tried to pay. This has happened three times this year.
Desired outcome: Westlake needs to get a better payment processing system and accounting in place
Auto loan payoff
filed claim in April 2022 due to accident. my insurance company sent a forced owner retain check to the claims department before declaring auto a total loss as finally decision. I alerted the claims dept of this unwanted situation and spoke with a supv about the insurance company's actions and was told that my account would be red flagged and check would not be cashed but held until salvaged title recvd and if total loss decision made the reminding balance would be collected after auto pick up. The owner retain check was soon cashed? by westlake. I question why? and was told not to worry! balance to be collected later. Decision was made as total loss and westlake claims dept supv arranged for the insurance company to pick it up. However, after over x3 weeks insurance co never picked up auto or send out storage check to shop. Now communication and emails with claims department have stopped and request to speak with higher management has been Denial. Also, call back arrangements have been made to speak with management, but never contacted. My auto has been total loss, there is an outstanding balance. Westlake services is needed to resolve this situation.

2012 audi
On 8/24/22 I was at work when my ring camera went off showing a tow truck entering my driveway. I instantly responded to my home when I saw that my 2012 Audi truck was not there. I immediately reached out to Westlake Financial and they informed me that I was 5 days late with my payment and asked me was I ready to make a payment. I told them that my car was towed out of my driveway and they informed me that they didn’t order the tow. I then went to my local police and they told me nothing was reported from to them about a REPO request. I then filed a stolen car report. I instantly went back to my cameras assuming suspicion of neighbors stealing my vehicle. Neighbors gave me information from their cameras which left everyone in my area in an uproar and afraid that this was a robbery on our block. The next day Westlake called me again about a payment which they said now was 6 days late and I repeated to them that my car was taken out of my driveway. The operator a woman put me on hold and returned to me saying that my car was repossessed because my payment was 2 months late. I was in disbelief and very angry at that time because of the misinformation given to me the day before. I asked how can I go from 6 days late to 2 months behind it just didn’t make sense I hung up in frustration. The following day 8/26/22 I received another phone call about a late payment a repeated the same information this time it was a gentleman. He put me on hold and responded back with an apology saying that my car was towed in error because he went back to the notes and other conversations when I called. He then informed me that he was going to speak to someone so that I can get my vehicle back. I was more relieved and was thankful at that time. I didn’t call back until Monday 8/29/22 when an operator transferred me to another department saying that in order for me to get my car back I would need to pay a fee. When my car was towed off my property the car was disabled because of repairs that needed to be addressed. My tire was flat and the type of tow they used was not a flatbed so I know that my rims are damaged. They violated everything that was not supposed to happen in a repossession, they didn’t notify me, they didn’t contact the local authority and the way they towed my vehicle damaged it. I am very, very upset at the way this was handled. On 8/30/22 I called back for an update and a gentleman helped me and apologized for the inconvenience on the error they had made and my vehicle would be returned today. Today is 8/31/22 still no vehicle but I received a phone call from Westlake regarding a past due payment no 12 days late. I demand my vehicle to be returned! I also received a letter stating that my vehicle will be auctioned on 9/9/22. I also obtained an attorney on this matter.

illegal siezure
So on the night of 8/17/22 my 2020 Sentra got repoed. I have had this car since 2020 I set up ACH withdraw every month out of my account because well I am human and life gets hectic. I signed up for the ACH withdraws' a few months back. They did not take my June payment so fast forward to today (8/19/22) I have my car back but they still tried to claim that I was months behind on my payments even though I have valid proof and they even sent me this valid proof through an email and also I have the Westlake App on my phone. 1,500 dollars to get my car back let's not mention that when they repoed it they also made sure to get my monthly payment from my checking account. I do not recommend this company at all! They are extremely rude, talk to you like you are incompetent, the management has zero professionalism, and none of them know what the other person is saying.

Trying to pay off loan
Account #[protected] account holders name Richard petzold. I am his sister (next of kin) Richard died I am trying to pay off the loan. I have provided death certificate with me as next of kin. They would not accept debit card for full amount. So I gave them my bank account info they told me it was invalid 30 days later when I called them. All during this procedure I was hung up on over 25 times. I have been trying to resolve this for about six weeks. Way can't I pay off this car. When they were going to give me the address to pay it off,like numerous times in the past they would say sorry can't hear you and hang up.they keep telling me invalid account number IT IS NOT. Auto loan
I have been paying on a car that has been stored unable to plate and transmission needs replaced. I pay for rides storage and recently missed my fathers funeral over this car! The amount was under $8000 in 2018 and I have accounted for all payments with few deferred due to trying to cover thousands in repairs. I have payoff amount after all these years at little under $8000. I noticed several times over the years that statements do not match my payment history and I am being charged 5 dollars daily I have asked for assistance several times regarding the lemon n the debt to ratio issue I can’t plate the car due to the enguexhausted all extensions transmission is completely out n ti find out you are still doing buisness with Gaza automall is outrageous! They told me to make my payment for two years come back n trade out well they won’t trade me out but they will give me another lemon and keep my car now you tell how that Is legal my debt to ratio dose not allow for another car payment I have spent thousands of dollars trying to repair the car barley put any miles on it I pay for full coverage and rides You have received the cost of the car plus almost three thousand in interest so at this point you can’t help me refinance nor trade out of car so I would pray that you release me from money owed after what I have been put thru! Interest rate for service members
I have ran across a problem with a used vehicle that I purchased through Chrysler of Lawerenceburg KY which did not even last 30 days. I purchased the vehicle on 06/13/2022 and the vehicle broke down on 06/28/2022. The vehicle would not start again. I paid a mechanic $100 to diagnose the problem and it needs a new engine. It would cost $4,500 to replace engine with a used engine. The dealership refuses to take the vehicle back and return my $6,000 down payment. I in turn contacted Westlake Financial to see how they could help and was told they had no control over that. After doing some research I found this statute. Benefit and Protection No. 1 – The six percent interest rate cap. 50 U.S.C. § 3937
Not only am I paying on a vehicle that should have not been sold in the first place I am paying 24.52%.
Desired outcome: I would like to have this contract void. And I would like the $6,000 down payment back.
the process payment for my account
I have spoking to several people about payment. I have ask for them to not go in the account because they don't take my card the card on file but every months they go in my account and I have non- sufficient funds and this been going on since the very first payment. Brought a car that was paid off . Just need to get a copy of lein release . I'm the 3party . But if I have title information and you can see it has been payoff for 7yrs. And you are still on the title you should be plated.
help me if previous owner is n/a and I everything to prove I have the title. This is the only thing holding me from getting license plates.
